Just Checked In Online ???

I just checked in and I am staying for 8 nights so I have two seperate reservations which MS told me were linked. Is it normal to have to check in seperately online for each reservation even when they are linked? Just want to make sure everything is as it should be

That happened to me once, and I only checked in on line for the first stay. It was fine!
