My YCE arrived today!!!! Thank you sooooo much!!

What a surprise I had this afternoon!! My faithful UPS man delivered a box from Yankee Candle!! My "secret pal's" gift had arrived!! WOW!! Talk about FAST!!!! Kama89, you are one prompt lady!!!!! Thank you sooooo much!! I think Kim is psychic!!! She sent me a Macintosh Housewarmer, two Key Lime votives and two Christmas Wreath tarts. Those are three of my all-time favorite scents!!!! There was also a SunflowerCar Jar. The last time I was at our YC store I had said that I would have to try Sunflower soon because it was so intriguing!! Kim, I just don't know how you knew--but your gift was absolutely perfect!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I really appreciate your thoughtfulness!

I received my YCE.
I was so excited to find a package waiting for me when I returned home after being out of town. I just recently joined the DIS and thought this would be a good way to meet others. I quickly opened my package to my my favorite YC scent- MacIntosh Apple. I like burning it in my kitchen.
Anyway... I want to THANK FTWFAN for my jar candle, my cute apple plate and shade, and for the car jar. You really spoiled me. I want to do this YCE again and again.

I went back to my YC store AGAIN tonight to get some more goodies but the sale was over! It ended Sunday. :( The new promotion was "get a frosted jar candle with a $55 purchase." The manager said that YC has a new CEO and that is why they now have frequent promotions. I remember not long ago when they only had the "candle of the month" and the "after-Christmas" sale!! I like these new ideas!! I find I'm checking out the store more frequently. The special August candle scents are Blueberry and ButterCream. YUMMY!!

Oh, in case anyone is a KLUTZ like I am, here is some YC info which might be helpful. The other day I dropped a large, brand- new jar of Ocean Water (which I'd gotten at Hallmark). It smashed to smithereens!! I mentioned it to the YC store manager who said to bring the candle in to the YC store and I'd receive a store credit for another candle. I said that the candle was Ocean Water which isn't sold in the YC stores presently.
She said that it didn't matter--if it is a product made by YC, I can get a new candle. Of course, I could not get the Ocean Water fragrance but I did get another favorite of mine.

I'm looking forward to seeing who receives their package later today!!

Phins_Jazy sent me my favorite fall scents - a jar of harvest and an adorable apple basket votive holder and a macIntosh sampler. It matches my new dishes exactly :D

Breezy_Carol has made this the most fun exchange yet. She began by e-mailing me under an alias. I really enjoyed having a pen pal:)
She sent me two votives a Sunflower and an Island Mango. As well as a jar of Pineapple Paradise which is now my new favorite. The scent is awsome! I wish i could burn it right now but I do not think it would be appropriate to be lighting candles in a school;)

My YCE arrived today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) I did a little jig as I carried it in and was thrilled to see that my pal was DAN MURPHY!!!! :) :) :)

I was stunned by his generosity!!!! He sent an American Flag car jar, two tarts (Bay Breeze and Seaside Holiday -- two of my favorite summer scents!), two housewarmer jars (Buttercream and Vanilla Cookie --- Yuuuuummmm!!!!); and if that isn't delicious enough he sent along a large Chocolate Truffle candle!!! It's Dan's favorite scent, and it smells heavenly! And to top off the entire YC smorgasbord, Dan sent an adorable jar topper (for medium-large candles) with a very "sweet" theme -- beehives and honey!

Hey guys! I am back at work on the DIS, still no phone service at home! When I got home Friday afternoon, I had a wonderful surprise sitting on the porch. MY YANKEE CANDLES!!!!!!!!!!:p I guess the mailman sat them on the porch, because oddball had gotten the mail out of the box at the drive and she didn't even see the box on the porch. She would have opened it for me!!!:(
But, I found it and got to open it!!!!!!

Kim Raye, never fear! The contents of the box were absolutely wonderful. I loved all of the things in my box. DH has already taken two of the candles away from me and burning them! That's OK, jhe put them in the kitchen so all could enjoy! I really loved the letter you sent. It made everything seem more personal! I like that!

I also still do not see a post from oddball's partner! I will check on that today! Don't give up!!!!!!;)

I had a knock at the door and there was the UPS man driving away. Oh could it be.... yes, it was! A huge box of Yankee Candle goodies!

When I pulled out the Clean Cotton, it was very greasy on the outside. The weather has been so hot here and it was packaged on its side and had melted. Everything else arrived just fine. I called Yankee Candle and told them the situation and they are sending me another one to replace it. I will let you know when I get it. My hands smell real good though. I love that scent! I have never smelled it before.

I came home just as UPS was leaving! :) I got lovely gift wrapped (Didn't want to open them they looked so nice) MacIntosh and Harvest candles. PERFECT for when the cooler weather comes around. In my mind, they will be great to burn in mid-September - early November when the scent will go with the season and folliage (can you tell I Yankee Candle obsessed? I need a candle for every season or month!)

Only one problem...there were 2 beautiful candles beautifuly wrapped and LOTS of styrofoam peanuts, but I didn't see any note or anything that would indicate who my very sweet exchanger was! (and I went through ALOT of peanuts! ;) ).

We have a running joke here about packages. I live in a very very section of town with only a part time PO - so we tend to have a built in delay.

I love the package - the first thing I could smell was cookies. So I searched for some fresh baked thought what a great bonus - cookies. Next best thing well even better for the diet - I love the cookie candle. I love the harvest also - never tried it before so this is gonna be great. I also love Green grass - thanks so much. This is my absolute fave scent. I love the smell of fresh mown grass.

The shade and holders are beautiful - you have wonderful taste and I am thrilled to be your exchangee anytime.

To my exchangee - yep it is coming I was a day late of the deadline but have a great excuse we were in Disneyland. So it on it's way with not far at all to travel.

Yay!!!!! I received my package today.

I got a Cape Cod Chatham Lighthouse Housewarmer, and the CUTEST topper. It is a beach scene (sand, starfish, dune grass, white dune picket fence) sooo cute.

Now, there was no note, so I am not 100% sure who I should be thanking. I think I know from the return address, but I am not sure. I am guessing it was you TIGGERSMOM, right?
