Please tell me gas prices are not going to surge again this year like they did in '08. We're already in a recession. That would be like kicking sand in the face of a person who is already down. '09 gas prices...we can deal with again. But please not like '08 and '07.

I certainly hope that the don't either. I work for the State and they have already REDUCED our mileage in an attempt to save jobs. We were last at Disney in 08 and it was CHEAPER to fly than it was for us to drive as the gas prices were at $4.00 per gallon when we went.

Surely the oil companies have some sort of morale and will put the human factor above the almighty dollar. Now is not the year, and would be the ultimate in kicking someone while they're already down.
For WDW's sake and our own...hopefully 2010 will be a repeat of '09.. NOT '08.. and prices at the pump stay affordable.

Unfortunately, I doubt it. They proved it last time and it looks like the same pattern is about to repeat itself.
Erik, where outside Memphis? I grew up in Memphis and eventually moved to Southaven before eventually moving to Indiana. Still follow the Tigers, though.
