I'm sure there a million people out there who will say this did not happen to them but it did to us - we had had a bottle of prosecco for dinner and asked for coffee after as our drinks on DDP and were told that only soda fountain drinks were included on the meal plan :scared1: and I would have to OOP for a coffee. I told the server that I understood his hands were tied, and these were the rules but I would like to speak to a manager about it - he then agreed to do it "this one time, hope no one finds out or her would be in trouble etc". Also, we were going to order just a glass each of prosecco then decided on a bottle as the server assured us we could take the rest each in glasses to enjoy walking around world showcase. So... we left with our two glasses of prosecco and the manager stopped us at the door and poured them into..... styrofoam coffee cups #2 :scared1:. This post really is about the drinks though to give everyone a heads up to stand their ground if given the same story, but I will give a brief huge thumbs up to the food :thumbsup2

Same experience in 2008. How bizarre. I remember our waiter pointed out that coffee was not included. This was the ONLY restaurant where that was the case, and we have been to about 30+/- on the DDP. At signature restaurants, we were usually offered coffee with dessert in addition to whatever we drank earlier. I usually had expresso or cappucino. I'm sure there's nothing special about their coffee at TT Italia.

Yeah they seem to have different rules. If you had a printout of the dining plan you could force the issue I would think though because it says non alcoholic drinks are included. Same could be said with other non alcoholic drinks that you are forced to use as your dessert at some places on the plan or that you are not allowed to get at all.
Last year Tutto had a different policy with the candlelight dinner pkg. as well though. We were told that tip was included with the dinner pkg. where as at the Garden Grill it was not. When the waitress brought the bill she said don't worry about gratuity it is included with the package. Which was very surprising.

... he then agreed to do it "this one time, hope no one finds out or her would be in trouble etc". Well that didn't work out for him, eh? :)
I suspect that that's why a lot of places don't make exceptions very much anymore -- we're too good at telling each other about it, and then playing the, "But I read on the Internet that you made an exception..." :rotfl:
