DH & I have booked bounceback to this September. We decided this year to do a signature meal, but don't know which one to pick. Last year we had cs credits left as we were always so full we would usually split our cs meals. This year we decided to do a 2credit ts meal. We don't want to do any character buffets or dinner shows. What nice restaurant would you recommend?

All the Signature Restaurants are good, so I imagine this thread could go on and mention every one of them. It depends on what kind of food and experience you want. It also depends on your personal frame of reference. If you prefer more traditional upscale American fare, you'd probably like Narcoossee's or Yachtsman Steakhouse best. If you consider yourself a "foodie," then I'd recommend Flying Fish Cafe. If you like a bit of Mediterranean flair and like a more upscale ambiance, then Citrico's would be the choice. California Grill has appeal on all levels (sushi, New American cuisine, great wines, exceptional view) but it is also the loudest and most chaotic of the bunch.

Look at the menus online and see what appeals to you the most. For me, the ones I invariably eat at every trip are Jiko and Flying Fish, with Flying Fish being my favorite food-wise, but Jiko appeals equally because I like the interesting South African wines and the warmth of the staff (at least during my visits).

If someone told me I could only do one 2-credit meal on a trip, I would go with California Grill during the fireworks, despite the cacophony. I love sushi, wine, cheese, and food with interesting flavor profiles and CG delivers on all accounts. But speaking strictly about the food, Flying Fish wins in my book.

If I were a big city restaurant critic, I'd give CG and FFC 3 stars out of 4 (excellent), but for different reasons. Jiko would be 2 1/2 or 3 stars; all the other Signatures would likely get 2 stars (very good), except maybe 1 star (good) for Yachtsman. I've had some "iffy" meals there and I've seen too many posts about steaks not being cooked as ordered, a major fail for a steak house.

Only need one word for the best -
Narcoossee's
Have been to many that take 2 credits but have not gone back to them. Every trip we go back to Narcoossee's.

Each person that answers will have a different opinion. I have been on these boards for over ten years and have watched the reviews like a hawk. I would say that Hollywood Brown Derby leaves the most people disappointed for a two credit meal. After that I would say that the Yachtsman Steak House leaves people disappointed more often than the other signature dining spots--yet it has some very loyal fans. After that it seems to be a toss-up with Jiko getting the most steady positive feedback. We love Jiko. We also love Artist Point. We thought Flying Fish was "ok". We thought Cali Grill was way over-hyped. Again, don't take any one persons word for it. Look for patterns over time by reading the reviews on Allearsnet.com.

I love Jiko but recently tried Flying Fish for the first time and have to say it was a wonderful meal. FF was a much busier environment and much brighter than Jiko so if ambience plays into your choice then I'd have to say Jiko wins. I also had a good meal at Narcoosee's but things there seemed to be more rushed.

I've been wondering the same thing for my trip this year. Which table service for our night out... Finally having a daughter older enough to babsyit the younger DDs... yea!
I've been to California Grill & I'm from California. It's really good, but been there, done that. Narcoossee's sounds great, but still a typical fancy diner. I've never been to Flying Fish or Yachtman's.
Boma's is my all-time favorite, I can't wait to eat a Zebra (dome) again! So, I want to go to Jiko's. I'm sure I'll love it, but the DH isn't excited. He's concerned the food will be too bold for our one night out. He loves lamb. Anyone tried at Jiko's. What can I say to convince him?
