We are on the DxDP for the 1st time thanks to the room discount! :worship:
But, do we each get our own appetizer or is it one appetizer to share?

each person on the deluxe dining plan will get an appetizer, entree, beverage and dessert. (children 3-9 order from the children's menu) But it's EACH person, not per family. Now, whether or not you want to SHARE your app w/ your family is up to you !!:rotfl:

(we chose deluxe too because of our room discount !!)

Woooo! That's good so we don't have to agree on one! Sure is gonna be a lot of food though!

you know, I thought that too and it kind of freaked me out. but then I thought, well, we don't HAVE to order everything, nor do we have to eat everything we order. but it's going to be wonderful fun being able to eat where we want, not having to worry about looking at the prices and just kind of try alot of different things. We're bringing our DD4 so I really wanted to do it so we could do pretty much every character meal. We've also picked out a couple of 2 credit meals (CRT , Hoop dee Doo and Narcoosee's) So that way we're not eating lunch every day..... we're going to use snack credits during the day if we get hungry. then there will be no guilt at meals!! :thumbsup2

Actually, some restaurants offer appetizers 'for two' which you would have to share but they will be noted on the menu.

We did the Deluxe Plan this trip and loved it. You don't have to finish everything you order (unless you want to). It's a lot of food, but if our budgets permit in the future, we will do again for sure. We got to eat at places we might not have tried otherwise, ordered exactly what we wanted no matter the cost, and tried lots of different things. We did a character breakfast every morning which was great because our ADR's were before park openings so we didn't have much wait times on rides when we finished our meals because we were already in there. Meeting all the characters at meals also made it less hectic trying to meet them in the parks. If the line was long, we were able to skip it because we had met them or were going to meet them in a breakfast. My kids never got tired of the character meals either, even if they had met the characters before somewhere else.

Have a wonderful time!

True normally, but some restaurants do allow one person to order an appetizer that is designated for two people. I know when we were there in Dec Rose & Crown allowed the cheese/sausage plate appetizer to be ordered by only one person. I believe I've read reports where Mama Melrose allows it also. Coral Reef, Le Cellier, and Tutto Italia do not though, which is a bummer for solo diners.
