We're booked on this one. We just got back from the 4 day cruise on Disney. We loved it but 4 days wasn't enough. We're also thinking about doing the "double dip" for the ultimate carribean vacation. It will be me, hubby, and 6 year old twins.

We are booked on this too (booked it last Nov). DH just put in for the time off (today was the first day he could) and he is already waitlisted :( Not sure how that is possible. Hopefully we will be able to make it - t hat's really the only thing stopping us since it's a great price and we are local

Just found out we will have more than enough DVC points to book this cruise so we are tossing around the idea of booking this cruise. After watching Samatha Brown's cruise show last week and she went to St. Thomas on a different cruise line we have interest in going.

Now I just need the courage to book it....

DH and I will be on this cruise too! I will be 30 at the time and he will be 33, no kids. We booked onboard our last cruise (January 23 Magic) and just transferred to DVC points instead! This is our 2nd DCL cruise and we are hooked! We have a "secret verandah" room booked. I can't wait! :thumbsup2

I just booked this cruise for the DW and self. This will be our 5th cruise and 3rd Eastern. The last cruise was in Jan 09. Water was lovely that go round, but CC was a bit on the chilly side. That did not prevent me from getting wet.

Welcome aboard!

My family of 4 is now booked on this cruise as well! Our first "vacation just for the sake of a vacation" since before we had kids. My choice, since I feel like this is the best way for MOMMY to get a vacation too! :rotfl:

Our daughter will turn 4 during the cruise, and our son will be 18 months. DD is a firecracker, never stops moving, never stops talking. Her approach to making friends is to go up to the nearest child and say (at top volume of course) "What's yer name? Wanna play with me?" I think we'll have a hard time getting her to leave the club. ;)

As DS is only 10 months right now, it's hard to say how he'll behave by the time we sail, but as of now he's much calmer, very mellow, does tend to cling to me a lot when I'm home with him all day yet doesn't mind being left with other people (like the childcare at the gym.) Hoping his easygoing attitude follows him into toddlerhood. :thumbsup2

I know I'll be keeping it a surprise until at least a few days before because I know DD would ask me about it at least 50,000 times between now and then.

Hi Everyone!

My DW has already posted on this thread (TifffanyD), but I figured I'd drop by as well. We're really looking forward to this cruise as it will be our first Eastern Caribbean cruise. We have another DCL sailing on the horizon, too. We're going to be be on the 10/30 Western Caribbean, and we're getting quite excited for that one now. We are in the middle of making our FE gifts for it, and we were wondering if anyone was planning on doing an FE exchange on this cruise, as well.

Hi Everyone

Since it seems like there is at least some interest in a FE Exchange for our upcoming cruise, I would be willing to take on the task of being the FE organizer.

If you and your party wish to participate in the exchange, please PM me with the following:

your DIS Board name
Cabin Number (if yours hasn't been assigned yet, let me know and drop me a line when you get the cabin number)
Size of your Party
Gender/ages of party members so age/gender appropriate gifts can be made/purchased

Here are some great tips about what you need to know about FE Gift Exchanges as well for those first-timers on the cruise:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1219607

That brings us to 23 rooms and the list is closed.

Keep an eye on this post, and I'll PM the person with the first post on the thread to see if they would put a link to this thread in the first post so it could be found easily. I was thinking of closing off entries to the FE List on December 15, 2010. After the list is finalized, I would make an Excel spreadsheet with the list available to the participants.

***UPDATE 12/21***
I now have all of the cabin #s for the groups that signed up for the FE list, and I will be starting the spreadsheet as soon as I possibly can. Depending on how much Epic Mickey I play this evening, I might even be able to get through the spreadsheet this evening.

Thanks!

I agree that this thread is not as "chatty" as I'm used to. Not sure if there are not that many people booked on this cruise or what. The last thread I was a part of we had to start a new thread as we reached the limit (like 350 pages) on our first. We were a super chatty bunch and there were lots of us. We are all super good friends and stay in touch via Facebook!

The more chatty the thread the more fun it is. By the time we all met up on the ship, it seemed like we all knew each other for ever. We were all excited and hugging. It was fun to run into each other on the ship. It really made it seem like we were sailing with all our friends.

Here is a photo from our trip of many, not all, of us from the thread. It was a May cruise.

Oh! Forgot to mention that I saw on the boards that you could look up rooms available on the cruise at travelocity - I looked for our cruise and there are a lot of rooms left! I realize we have a while to go, but what does DCL do when certain dates don't fill up? Discounts???

Paddle_Nut
07-25-2010, 11:17 AM
I don't know if dcl has last minute deals, but I know things can book up quickly. When we were booking our holiday we were trying to do it through my mom's credit card rewards program. Two hours later when we went to seal the deal, all of our room options were gone :confused3. We ended up booking with dcl.

I think I check this website twice a day, it is always filled with great advice. I read a thread that you can do the castaway cay 5k run first thing the morning we dock there, hope to see you there??!!! :goodvibes

We just moved our cruise date to this one, hopefully we do not have to change it again...and lo and behold I see that Lisa is on this cruise. I was her Secret Mickey on our last cruise!

We are excited about going on another cruise, the last one we did not bring the kids while that was nice, this time the kids will be going. My oldest daughter will also bring her boyfriend and it will be his first time. I cannot wait to see his reactions as it is such a wonderful experience.

ha! No kidding!

Though being DVC Owners, it's one of those things where it feels like the value of DVC isn't quite as high as it could be, since these promotions are coming around more frequently. Get a room=free gift cards, free dining...wow. Granted, they are rack rates but still. Wish I'd seen some DCL or ABD discounts but...*shrug*

At the onboard meeting of DVC members they will give u a point discount per person on most upcomming cruises usually 10% off the points charts:cool1: The only catch is you need to book your next cruise in 3 days after the cruise is over:surfweb:It is a great deal:banana:Be sure and go to the DVC meets on board they also give out cash discounts on points ,hats and lots of gifts and prizes:dance3:

This is our 2nd Disney Cruise (last was 2009 Halloween Cruise) and 5th cruise, but my first attempting to use the disboards. I am fascinated by the idea of the Fish Extenders and we would definitely like to participate. My girls (4,6 at time of trip) will love this! I understand there are rules specific to each cruise for the FE's, are there any yet for this cruise?

Looking forward to it!!!

Does anyone know if there is any flexibility in the kids club. I know my girls will probably want to stay together, but one will be 4 and 3/4 and the other will be newly 6. The 4 year old would be fine in the older group, but I don't know if they would allow that.

Any suggestions, or past experiences would be great!

Welcome cruisergirly! I've not been on a cruise, but have been devoted to reading and re-reading everything I can find on disboards for a few months! It's the only way I will make it 5 more months!

There are a few different threads regarding the new structure of the kids clubs, so searching might provide more detail than I can, but what I've read is the age groups for the Club/Lab are more like suggestions and kids can go back and forth between the Club/Lab depending on what they are interested in. Many parents have said they love this because their children can play together, others have said it is chaotic. Hope this helps!

My youngest dd will be 4 at the time of the cruise but turning 5 in March. I am hoping she can be put in the older category if she wants so she can be with her sister, but I guess she can decide what she wants. They have been watching youtube videos of the oceaneer club and they can't wait!

Hello! We have a cabin change:

We were 6053 but are now 2616. How many people do we have so far?
Karla

Here's the list so far for those of you keeping score at home:

Room: Board Name: # on board age/gender
UNK schimj & TiffanyD (2) 31m & 30f
8078 cblack (3) 28m, 28f, 2f
UNK binky1 (4) adult M & F, 9&4f's
UNK binky1 (3) 2 adult, f child

7560 newgeneb (4) 62m 63f 14m 17f
6053 Paddle_Nut (4) 35f 40m 7f 4f
7501 myolite (4) 43m 35f 4f m11mo
2120 cruisergirly (4) 35F, 38M, 6F, 4F

Keep an eye on this post, and I'll PM the person with the first post on the thread to see if they would put a link to this thread in the first post so it could be found easily. I was thinking of closing off entries to the FE List on December 15, 2010. After the list is finalized, I would make an Excel spreadsheet with the list available to the participants.

I am not sure I can wait until January.

Karla we are on the 2nd floor too. I am hoping we get bumped up (last cruise we paid for a 9B and ended up with cat 5 with a verandah talk about luck!)

Karla when is your 7 year olds bday? I have a 6 year old girl (but she turns 6 this sept). My 4year olds bday is in May so just a few months younger than yours.

It would be great to get the kiddies all together! She loves to look at pictures of the Disney Ship, and is intrigued by the kids club. My oldest dd is 6 now, but turns 7 in December. She is pretty social and loves to play with others.

We were on deck 6 but had an inside room, then changed it to a room with a view. We almost upgraded up (again) to a 5B, but will remain where we are. I am a little nervous about our room location as it would appear that we are directly below the kitchen and the reviews of our room state it was loud at 4am :sad1:, so I hope that things have been changed since the 3yrs that this post was put up. Our room number is 2616.

How did you get the room bump? That would be really sweet to have happen...

You've been added. If you need more FE tips & tricks, there are SEVERAL threads on the cruise boards main page, and some on the Podcast page under the Podcast Cruise subthread.

Anyone else interested in joining the FE? Feel free to PM me (most reliable...sometimes I don't check my subscribed threads too frequantly) or in the thread itself. As I stated in the original post (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=37359577&postcount=26), the cutoff date for joining the FE will be December 15, 2010. That way we can all get everything together and not worry about missing last-minute add-ons to the list if we go out of town for the holidays.

There is:
me - Stephanie (34 - celebrating an early 35th b-day on the cruise)
hubby - Sam (31)
DD#1 - Elizabeth, who will be a little over 4
DD#2 - Natalie, who will be 9 months

I haven't read all the threads yet, but we would love to join in on the FE!

1. Where are you from? - Kalamazoo, MI

2. First time cruising - Yes!

3. What you like to do when you are not planning a cruise, on a cruise, or dreaming about a cruise: when is that? I'm always planning/dreaming of our next Disney vacation! I love to scrapbook though!

After several weeks of procrastinating on booking this cruise, I just booked today with the kids sail free promotion. We missed our spring break cruise this year so this is highly anticipated by the entire family. My kids are dd 13 and ds 10. If any of you have children similar in age, they would love to have a "friend" before sailing.

Stephanie, we are near Grand Rapids :) Nice to see another "local" family will be on the sailing. Where are you flying out of? Allegiant had a great rate flying out that Thursday but it just tripled last week :( I didn't book because they haven't released dates for the returned flight yet. I'm hoping we can find a reasonable flight out of GRR.

Sending my info for the FE now :)

That would be awesome!! :rotfl: Right now I am thinking that we are going to try to drive through the night on Wed night and get to the Port around Thursday afternoon. Stay at the Radisson Thurs and Fri night and then be all rested and ready to cruise!!! I would love to stay at WDW, but this is our 'non' Disney vacation for my DH (who isn't as crazy about WDW as I am). That way too I'm hopefully not going to miss the parks as much if I don't stay there! It'll be nice too to hopefully spend a little time on the beach on Friday. They have a nice pool there too.

Do you have a DVD player? That was the best investment I have ever made! I think I may have to get another one for the little one....ours only has 1 screen and maybe it will keep the little one occupied too! I drove to WDW last year w/ DD - she was almost 3 then. It was long of course but okay. AND she was only about 2 mths into being potty trained then too!

adventure_woman - we may be driving as well...DH put his foot down and said if I can't get airfare for under $500 for all of us (which I have done before but isn't looking promising for this trip) we will be driving :( I just hate driving non-stop and have issues with motion sickness in the car. Good to know about the DVD players - will have to remember to bring those if we end up driving.

mjhd - Are you flexible when you leave? Did you look at Spiritair? From DTW they are still $29/person (about $47 I think w/ taxes) each way. BUT...those are leaving Tues/Wed and returning on Sat.

I don't think we'll drive straight through...DH didn't sound too keen on that. So, we'll probably leave about 1am on Thurs am then drive all day on Thursday and stay the night in southern GA and then finish up...arriving at the port on Fri early afternoon.

I have made the drive several times...not with the little one, but with the almost 3 yr old last yr.

Thanks for the welcome. :goodvibes

We have sailed in Jan- Feb before. I always found I was cold in the dining room the first night but after that it warms up nicely.

Have sailed 4 times before I think. Lost track at the moment. One time cold on Castaway , one rough last night sailing. But that it is so we have been lucky.

Just wanted to post a quick FE update...we're now up to 13 cabins participating! Still waiting on some room #s to be assigned, but that can be expected this far out. I'll update as I get PMs requesting to be added. Again, the cut off date is going to be December 15, 2010.

Yeah, we're a little spoiled living so close...we have the luxury of going out for the weekend. But since we do go out for shorter trips (most of the time), we miss being able to stay for a week or longer. Most of our week-long vacations recently have been cruises (not complaining :)), so that chews up most of our time off of work, and we typically just go out for a few days when I can juggle a Monday off work or something.

Disney people are good people aren't they? Regarding my teen girl, this is why I joined. The last two cruises we were on, my shy girl was keen to visit the teen clubs but never really spent alot of time there. She is one of only two girls in her class of 22, so the likelihood of her hanging out with your teen son is very good. Don't fret: the teens on the other cruises were all hanging out together. :dance3:

I have been booked on this cruise since last March and coming to this site for info for sevral months, but finally decided to post! Myself, DH, DS 8, DD 4 and DS who will be 9 months when we sail as well as SIL, MIL and FIL are on the cruise. I was super excited because Disney honored the kids sail free on our already booked rooms so it was great to save money on a trip we already planned!

My husband and I have cruised a lot, although this is only our second Disney - last time was when the oldest two were 4 and 6 months so it hass been four years.

We are getting super excited!:cool1:

We are reserving Flounder's time. We sailed with Disney when DD was 7 mos and found that the evenings were too much for her. After the first night, we put her in Flounder's right after dinner and picked her up after the show (we were Main seating). She was much happier - they put her in her PJs and she went to sleep! I think it depends upon your kids regular bedtimes (my babies have always gone to sleep around 7:30) and their tolerance for noise and if you plan on doing the shows or not. My daughter was especially sensitive to noise as a baby and hated the commotion of the shows.

You are from Michigan right? My husband's family are all from Michigan (although no one lives thre now!)

I'm thinking we will try to book it for dinner 2-3 times and send Meredith to the club for dinner times most of the evenings--she never sits through dinner and I understand the Cruise dinners take even longer. :P I think I read somewhere that the club has a dinner option or picks them up during dinner? I better check into that again. :)

I ordered our FE off of Etsy, got a response very quickly and am trying to figure out what I want on it. I ordered right before she left on her cruise, but I've heard that it takes about 3-4 weeks to get one.

We would love to share a sitter but will already be at Port Canaveral - we tried to figure out a way to get our luggage to the hotel and then go back to DTD, but it just seemed like a lot of time on the road. We are hoping we can just take it easy around the hotel and rest up for the boat!

Not sure what excursions we will do but I know in St Maarten we will just take the boat taxi to the town. And wander the shops there. They have a beach you can go to right along the town as soon as you get off the taxi too that is nice. We honeymooned on this island. So one of the other cruises we took we went back to the resort we stayed at but it was hit by a hurricane and they never rebuild. It was called Mullet Bay. :sad2:

St. Thomas for us will be an early day since we are Canadian. We have to go though customs because we are going back into the U.S. So they get us up early and the whole family has to be there too , the kids usually go in the pj's because it is something like 6:00am .

Huh? Does this mean we need to bring passports with us when we leave for excursion? A fellow Canadian as well..

I can not remember off hand if they keep our passports anymore. They used to and they would give them back to you when you went see the customs people. It is well set up you stand in line and they move you though the night club. Though one door out the other. They have coffee and juice, danishes etc. set up for you to have while waiting. It is well organized but takes time depending on the custom people. If they do take your passport they will give you a paper when you check in that you need to bring with you so they can find your passport. Like I said they may not take them anymore in that case leave them in your safe and bring them on that morning.

We never took our passports off the ship. But we did have other ID with us and our Key to the room. That gets you back on the ship. You have to swipe that going off and on. They also x ray your bags when you come back on.

I guess you could take your passport with you each time but we never needed it. I guess if we missed the boat and had to fly to the next port you would need it. :confused3 But we never missed the boat. And if your excurison is with Disney they will not leave with out you .....even if it is late. That is the danger of going on your own . But it is so much cheaper to hire a cab and go to these places.

I've done a bunch of cruises w/o kids and one Disney with oldest 2 when they were 4 and 7 months respectively. I wouldn't book a sight seeing tour with kids again after doing it with Disney in Nassau. We did the Atlantis tour and found that we actually didn't link up with the tour until about 45 minutes after our meet time and then there was a lot of drama with loading buses. We were stuck loading at the end and ended up not sitting together. The tour was supposed to be 2 1/2 hours and with a meet time of around 9:30, I assumed we would be back by lunch. We didn''t even get to Atlantis to start the tour (after bus ride and walk) until almost 12 and by then kids had peaked. We ended up leaving the tour, buying an overpriced lunch at Atlantis, and taking a cab back on our own. I just wouldn't recommend anythibg that you can easily do on your own for anyone with small kids - being stuck with 50 other people when your kids are tired/hungry/have to go potty/etc is awful. If you were going diving, the 12-meter regatta, sightseeing in Europe, etc it would be different - those I would recommend booking through the cruise line.

Anyway - the St. Maartin butterfly house got pretty bad reviews on the main board. We are either going to take the water taxi ($6 all day wrist band and 5 minutes ride from the boat) to the downtown area and do the beach there or shop. Makes for easy return if kids peak. Or we are going to Le Galion beach which is about a 25 minute taxi ride (6-9 pp each way).

In St. Thomas we are going to go on our own to Coral World. Admission is $19 for adults and $10 for kids. Disney offers a package that includes the submarine, but if you google Coral World you will see they offer a bunch of other stuff and I think my kids want to do the Sea Lion encounter.

Oh I hate the cold. It was really cold here in Ontario last year and we didn't get as much snow as other years. I can't win, don't like the cold so it is a bit warmer if it snowed. Then the roads are bad. So it is a great time to get away breaks up the winter too. When I think B.C I think milder winters and rain. You must be up north more.

Mind you we were in San Franciso in the summer thinking it would be nice and warm in California. It was cold 52 in the morning. BRRR. Ran our furnance in the morning in the trailer. Even wore our coats in the morning when we went to Disneyland.

hi there! I'm the keeper of the FE list and would be happy to answer any questions you might have to the best of my ability. Here's the list of people in the FE exchange so far in this post:

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=37359577&postcount=26

in that post, there's also a link to a FE how-to. Gifts can be purchased or homemade if you're crafty. In the past, gifts have been given out once per family on a cruise, but I've heard of people breaking up the gifts they're giving out over several days.

You can reply in the thread with your sign-up info since you don't have quite enough posts in yet, or like NAB said, just PM me after you post a couple more times.

I also wanted to know because this will help manage my kids expectations of what they will get in their FEs!!!

:woohoo: on being able to PM I thought it was 10.

Be careful, because doing your FE can take time out of your cruise. So you don't want to do it that many times. The cabins are all over the place.

The kids will love it though that is for sure.

We are taking advantage of the holiday! Hopefully we won't have all of ths snow we had last year and loose those days. Of course all that means is that my son will miss more school.

We live right near the mixing bowl in the Springfield/Alexandria area. We are flying out of Reagan Sat morning. It is a little easier for us to get to and we usually fly using either US Airways or Delta which both offer direct fligts out of Reagan. This time, we are going Delta.

Are you flyng Southwest? Where do you live??

Brr woke up to frost this morning. It has been so nice the last few days. The sun is still shining so that is good it will warm up.

Today is 10-10-10 suppose to be the perfect day. Or a lucky day for the ones that get marred today. Because it is a perfect score date.

Hope they are right on the lucky part. Have to go across Toronto to get home for Thanksgiving dinner tonight with family. Hoping traffic is light and accident free.

And since my whole post was mostly on the date. There is only 75 days until Christmas!!

Hi! I haven't been posting long, but I have an 8 year old son and I know of at least one other 8 year old boy and an 8 year old girl (see discussion just a few posts up). Also recall a 13 year old boy too (although 13 and 11 are not that close I suppose!). And there aren't that many people in our little group so if you extrapolate to the larger ship, its a pretty good guess that there will be a number of kids that age group (not as many as during the summer obviously!) Hope you book. I think it is going to be great. We have been booked for almost a year now, myself, DH, DS(8), DD (4) and DS(10 months on sailing day). We will also have MIL, FIL and SIL - great big family vacation celebrating anniversaries and retiring from the military (DH).

You will probably be doing late dinner seating since you just booked. When we booked that is all we could get. You would have to wait list for main. Miss read you mean the order of the restrurants....I have never done this , but know people like to have the formal night in Lumireres.

Last time we did the Eastern it was :

Sunday-- Formal

Tuesday -- Pirate night

Thursday -- Semi formal

I thought I would start up a getting to know you thread so here it goes:

1. Where are you from? - Fort St. John, BC

2. First time cruising - No, but have seen a few hot beaches in my time!

3. What you like to do when you are not planning a cruise, on a cruise, or dreaming about a cruise: Dragon boating, and I am learning to run a 10km right now. Hard, but fun!

4. Kids - Two, Justine will be 7 on the cruise, and Vera will be 4, going on 5.

Feel free to add to the list!!

Going back through old posting and I foudn this one.

1. Where are you from? - Markham Ontario (just north of Toronto)

2. First time cruising - This is our 2nd cruise. We did the Western Cruise in October 2006 and had a great time.

3. What you like to do when you are not planning a cruise, on a cruise, or dreaming about a cruise: I work in Fraud Management at one of the Canadian Banks. Very interesting work but I spend my day learning how BAD people steal money from GOOD people. My Better Half works at one of our large TeleCom companies.

4. Kids - Spencer is 11 years old and is an active kid. Plays competitive volleyball and then also plays soccer and hockey for fun. Also plays Guitar and loves drama. Avery is 8 years old and is just as active. She plays competitive soccer and does competitive dance.

Both are completely NUTS over Disney......

Really - all Canadians have to check in at 6am at St Thomas - YUCK!!!

3. What you like to do when you are not planning a cruise, on a cruise, or dreaming about a cruise: Reading--lots of true crime, historical stuff (ie: Tudor's, etc.) Really almost anything. ;) Shopping, dreaming up home projects.

4. Kids - Meredith is 4 in November. She's independent, very much a tomboy, is going to be a pirate for Halloween. Dexter is 8 months old. He's doing the army-man crawl and has 2 bottom teeth and the top 2 seem to be mostly out now. He's my big boy--He was 10 lbs. at birth (2 weeks early!). 3. Hubby is in the Army. We are celebrating him hitting 20 years in March!! Originally this was going to be his "retirement cruise" but the economy sucks so he probably won't be retiring this year. I was in the ARmy 12 years and now work as a defense contractor. My main hobby these days seems to be planning this vacation!!!

4. Kids - Luke is 8. He plays electric guitar (he is in a band:cool1:). He played Hockey until he broke his arm the SECOND time last spring and had to have his SECOND surgery. When hubby broke his pelvis playing over 40 hockey two months later, I put my foot down and put away their hockey gear. Annemarie is 4. She dances and does whatever else she can to keep up with her brother! Jake will be 10 months when we sail.

We are also sailing with my in-laws in a connecting cabin. This is an early 50 year anniversary for them (48 years actually). And a 15 year anniversary celebration for hubby and I!!!

I am in a GTY Cabin- does anyone know if I will know my cabin my Dec 15th??

Hi AverysMommy,

You don't need to know your cabin by Dec 15th - just decide if you want to participate or not. We just need to get a count for everyone so they can plan accordingly. Just list the # of cabins you will be in that are participating (ie if you have 2 cabins booked and want each cabin to participate separately - just say so!) You can put "GTY" as your cabin number and then update us when you find out. It will probably be closer to 30 days out. We don't know our cabin # yet either!

My 13 year old son will be jealous, he wants us to go a day or two early to see the Harry Potter thing at Universal.

We are east of Toronto in Bowmanville. Flying out of Buffalo too. This will be our 5th cruise Disney Cruise , but my 6th one if you count the one without the kids on another cruiseline.

Hubby works for OPG and I get to stay home. :goodvibes

We talked to people who went to HP in August and tehy said it was AMAZING....we cant wait. I am probably looking forward to that more than the cruise (SHHH.....Dont tell Mickey).

What day are you flying out of Buffalo. We are taking the 5pm direct flight. I love we can fly direct for teh same price as a connector

Something we did on the DIS Board for my last cruise was to track the people who was lucky enough to do "special" posts:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Meaning - who got to post the special "?00" posts.

Post #100 was - myolite:dance3:
Post #200 was - cblack :cheer2:

Who will get #300???

I was thinking about doing PLAPLAP so that I get Lumieres on Formal Night and Parrot Cay for Pirate Night. But I hate the idea of having Parrot Cay three times.....much prefer the other restaurants

Yeah, I thought about that one too, it came down to eating in Parrot Cay so many times and when we would end up in the character breakfast. With the PLAPLAP rotation, I don't think you do the character breakfast until late in the cruise.

On a separate note....Jen sent me a pic of our FE - can't wait till it is shipped!!!!

Sorry I didn't get a chance to respond to your post before, but like my wife said, all is well with people in GTY cabins participating...the cutoff date is just so people can have an accurate count of what they need to have done for the FE. As cabin #s start to roll in, I'd update the list as needed.

WOW - 8 years old and plays in a band. That is very cool. Spencer played 1 year of acoustic guitar and then switched to electric last year. he loves it. I love the kids playing music. I have raised him well (LOL) as he knows ACDC, Van Halen, Zeppelin, etc.

We would normally do Palos on a Parrot Cay night but that would mean the first night or the last night (cant skip Pirate Night). Not sure I like either option.

What rotation do you think is best?

Poly looks so beautiful........I am jealous. We always just stay at moderates. You are clearly amazing Grandparents to take Logan to WDW and DCL.

your pictures says you are from Hamilton - what part? I was born in Beamsville and lived there until i was 12.
