Just came back from VWL and was really impressed with the sleeper couch. I love the idea of not taking the cushions off the couch, and the couch was really comfortable. Do any other DVC resorts have the same sleeper sofa or is it only at VWL. Thanks.
BWV has the same sleeper sofa. SSR had the type of sleeper sofa where you had to actually remove the cushions. I like the BWV type better.
Ooooo, I'm so glad to hear this. We're staying at VWL in Nov. and have only experienced the sofas where you have to remove the cushions. I'm intrigued! How do they work?popcorn::

You do not have to remove any cushions to pull the bed out - it is all one piece. The sofa cushions are actually attached to the sofa bed. The bed pillows are located in a separate little nook in the sofa bed. It is a great design. Making up the sofa bed with all the separate pillows is a pain.

Yes, my sister (who has back issues) was fine on the pull out in our 1 bedroom at VWL in Oct. So, which other resorts have switched to the one piece pull out now? I see that BWV has but SS has not (ugh, those are NOT comfortable).

BCV also had the new design.

My DD's two friends loved the pull-out sofa at VWL when we stayed there last month. We also stayed one night at SSR and their verdict on the pull-out sofa there - thumbs down! I hope that during a future refurbishment they change the sofa beds at SSR to the same type as VWL. :)

Here is a link to a page that shows how this sofabed works:

There is no uncomfortable bar under the mattress. The sofa itself is very firm, not that comfortable, IMHO. But as a sleeper it is better than most.

Are the mattresses as "firm" as those on the beds at OKW? I really enjoy my stays at OKW but don't really like those mattresses.
