I was thinking about getting this made into a 24x20 from Canvas on Demand and hang it in my office at work. I used my new lens my DH bought me for Christmas ( tamron 28-80mm). Any advice would be helpful.

I think that if you think enough of the image to want to make a print that size and put it on the wall, do it regardless of what I think!
I like it- especially the Spanish Moss.
You are going to loose a bunch on the sides to crowbar it into a 24x20 canvas though. You need to pick a size that has a 3:2 ratio.
Oh- and +1 for doing what you want regardless of what John thinks. ;)

I agree with Gdad about the additional concerns on a canvas print. I just had a 16x20 (a B&W still life) done by Canvas on Demand and I love it. And who cares what anyone else thinks of your image. If you like it, and you like the emotional response it brings you, then that is what is important in the art (of any form) you display.

Thank you!!! I'm still fairly new to this so can you tell me what it means to pick a size that has a 3:2 ratio?
And thank you to everyone else for the compliments. :goodvibes
A ratio like 24" wide x 16" high will compliment the aspect ratio of your camera 3 to 2- the 24x20 is more square so you will loose some of your image on the sides in the crop.
By the way- I have a 24x24 printed canvas of this image of mine- kind of similar looking.

With a canvas, you have to take into account a wrap around the sides too. So, depending on the canvas depth you choose, you have to take that into consideration when sizing your file.

I know that Jeff's comment was tongue and cheek but I do want to make it clear that I like the image as well. I just feel that if you like any image enough to want to hang it on the wall, go for it!

But definitely listen to John when he suggests a place for lunch, he hasn't steered me wrong yet! ;)
