Airport Security

Hi,
I was just wondering what the airport is like in Orlando after 9-11-01. I flew to TX in February of 01 so I know what home will be like but what changes has MCO made? Any tips on what disney merchandise should definettly be put in checked luggage? Any tips on the airport at all. I have been through MCO 4 times to date, the last being august of 01.

The metal detectors are definitely more sensitive...hubby set them off with ONE pill in a metal foil pack in his pocket!
I don't trust putting my Disney pins in checked luggage, so I carry them in a small rolling luggage bag. But I always remove them and put the pin case through the x-ray by itself. Otherwise, they get all bent out of shape seeing all those globs of metal inside a luggage bag. Other than that, and some ungodly lines (depends on the day & time), there hasn't been too much of an impact that we've seen. If the line is long, avoid being in either of the lines on the far ends, as those are the wheelchair lines and they move MUCH slower.
