Packaged Food to the USA?

In my luggage (since I can't carry anything on anyway), can I bring packaged food such as pasta, KD and granola bars? I know I can't take dairy, fruit and veg or meat but want to take a few things to prepare in the room without doing a grocery run.

Shouldn't be a problem. I usually do the same - granola bars, oatmeal, snack packs, etc.

We have, gives us some space to bring stuff home, too! I know I am taking peanut butter and some other things this year...

There is no Kraft "bear" pb sold down there and JiF does not compare! :lovestruc
