Me and my partner went for 4 nights/5 days, it was my 3rd time in DLP in less than 2 years and i love it more and more each time, it was absolutely freezing so anyone going in the next few weeks id recommend you wear plenty of layers, as for queues i was quite suprised the biggest queue was for crushes coaster which was an average of 40 mins, everything else was around 10-15 mins a time, the snow on thursday was really nice especially when you first walked into the park! We stayed at the Dream Castle which was a really nice hotel and would recommend it to anyone, only problem is the shuttle is only every 20 mins in the winter and its a little far to walk in the cold weather!

already planning our next trip for my partners birthday in July, this time i want to stay in an actual disney hotel though, still deciding between Newport Bay, Sequoia Lodge or Hotel New York! if anyone has been to either of these 3 would appreciate your opinion on these hotels! :)

Glad you enjoyed your stay so much.

I have stayed at SL, NPB and HNY. If you can afford the extra I would definitely recommned HNY. It is a really lovely hotel. You get a hot breakfast there and don't have to specify a time so you just stroll down to breakfast when you feel like it. It is closer to the Village than the other 2 hotels which is appreciated after a busy day at the Parks. In summer they have tables outside so you can sit and have a drink in the cool on hot summer nights. :cloud9:

After HNY, Sequoia Lodge is my next favourite. There is another thread about SL V NPB, which discusses the merits of both. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2360701

Thanks everyone, will probably stay at the Hotel New York seeing as it will be for my partners birthday, cannot wait to go back!

Just to give you a warning of how cold it was, i wore a long sleeve top, 2 t-shirts, a jacket and another coat over the top, with gloves and a hat and i was still cold at times!

I think the "real feel" temperatures must have been a lot lower than that - as its been around -4 here this week during the day, and no real need for more than a couple of layers with your coat, gloves and scarf. I know PoppyOlivia usually goes to DLP in January, and is used to wearing skiwear on her trips, so for her to say you need 34 layers, and she's never known cold like it, it must have been COLD :scared1:
