Is it possible to get a good deal on a room at Universal for just one night? About how good of a deal can I get? I am a AAA member, how good are AAA discounts. I don't really want to pay $300 for the room. What is the best deal I can get and where do I start? Thanks. (I am looking to visit in mid August.)

There is no AAA rate showing up on Loews or Universal but it's always good to call and ask for one and you can even ask for an obstructed view rate as well. On the AAA site I am showing a rate of $228. Hope that helps, that was the weekend of the 14th by way. Just picked a random date mid August. $211 for mid week the 11th. Remember, it's better to call the hotel to book the AAA rate versus the AAA website.

So, you should ask for a AAA room with an obstructed view? I am in the same boat, on the fence about booking for one night for the Express perk.

I think it's more of an either or...either AAA or Obstructed view. You are going to have a great time by the way!

Oh, we'll have a great time whether we stay onsite for a night or not! Universal is a BLAST!

I was able to get a single night AAA rate for the end of June @ RPR ~ $211.
