If I understand it right (and yes! I did read the stickies)
1) If I rent DVC points, the DVC member (owner) can order the DDP for me. I am guessing I pay him the same way I pay for the rental points, right?

2) I know that a DVC member is not required to purchase a ticket in order to get DDP. Does that remain the case when, when I (a non-member) am renting points from a member.
In other words, can I purchase discount tickets or will I need to purchase at least a 1 day ticket through WDW?

Hope my questions make sense

TIA

1) Yes and no. The DVC member will need to add the plan to the reservation for you, as it's necessary to call Member Services to do it, and Member Services will deal only with the actual member. However, you do not have to pay the member for the dining plan. Once a dining plan is added to a reservation, you pay the resort front desk for it in full at the time you check in. Keep in mind that the DVC member you are renting from must add the DDP of your choice to the reservation no later than 48 hours prior to your check-in date.

2) You are considered the guest of a member. Because the member is using points to book your reservation, you are not required to purchase any park tickets as part of your reservation.
