I'll start a thread for the 4/10/2011 4 Night Dream Cruise.
We are celebrating my 65th Birthday.
We booked a cat 5D balcony cabin midship on deck 6. Our last 4 night cruise on the Wonder was a cat 11 sideways cabin on deck 5.

Wow, I wanted to ask how much it had gone up, you got a good price compared to what we'll be paying, but then we only decided a few days ago we wanted to cruise, we'll get a much better deal next time, ;)
My Fiance said yesterday he wants to book an Alaska cruise for 2012 while we're aboard this one if he likes it and there's a good discount. (He's gone from not wanting to cruise to booking 2 in under a week :rotfl:)

Hello everyone we have just booked! This will be a first cruise for us all although as DVC members no strangers to WDW. My Wife and I plus DD6 who is looking forward to the oceaneers club and DS3 will go wild for Mickey, a pool slide which looks like handy helpers from Mickey Mouse clubhouse will be a hit.
So much to find out! Unfortunately too much time still to work it out.

My 65th birthday is April 10, 2011...
This year we are sailing on the Star Princess to the Baltics for DH's 65th birthday which was March 2nd. I have been saving up for these two events for years. DH's father passed at age 62, his Mom at 67 so he was scared that he would not reach 65. We are celebrating.. Happy Birthday too to your daughter. My sister's bday is April 4th, but she has not committed to sailing with us yet.

By way of consolation we have managed to add a 3 night on the Wonder the trip this August instead as we were so disappointed having got excited about Castaway Cay.
Anyway best wishes for your trips we will keep an eye out for any trip reports and wish we were there with you all... :hippie:

We will be sailing with you on April 10th as well. Party consists of myself, husband, and 2 year old son. This will be our second Disney cruise and my son's first cruise. We were debating weather to do a b2b on the 14th also, but price has gone up too much, we'll just do disney or hilton head island instead.
Can't wait to get to know everyone. My husband and I got married on the Disney Magic in 2006 and enjoyed all the new friends we had made on the Dis board.

We will be on board the Dream. It will be me, dh, & 2 dd. We did Disney World this past spring break, and loved it (which was our 3rd trip in 18 mos). DH didn't go with us - just me & the girls. So when I got back, I started to looking into things that we could do the next spring, as dh isn't a big Disney fan but is a cruise fan. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. I'm very excited & hope to rest on this cruise vs the rush I usually put on us while at Disney. But we might still have to go the Magic Kingdom after the cruise :)
We are booked for a Category 9

My oldest daughter will be 12 on the cruise and in 7th grade. My youngest daughter will turn 11 just before the cruise and is in 5th grade. We did not find out about this board until 3 days before we left for our last cruise. It was great because we learned about FE's and my daughter already knew there would be girls on the cruise her age. We were able to meet one of the families.
We also liked doing the magnets and I pulled together a fish extender the last minute. My husband does not know that I booked this cruise yet. It costs a lot for us to fly from Sacramento. He wants a longer cruise but I really wanted to see the new ship. We are not fans of Mexico so even though the Wonder is sailing out of LA, we just dont like the ports.
Where are you from? I hope as this gets closer we can get a lot of people together. My husband thought I was crazy last time, but the kids loved the FE's and the chat line.

We are from NE PA/ The pocono Mts. We are so syched to do the new ship also. We did the FE group thing last time and it was awesome! We met so many great families. Some we still keep in touch with. We had lot of cruise meets on the ship. So it felt like we made friendships that will last a lifetime. The kids knew other kids before we even got on the ship. We also made magnets and enjoyed delivering all the FE gifts everynight after Dinner. I hope someone is a good planner and maybe might take on this group. I am looking forward to making friends again and getting to know everyone in the group. I love learning new things and sharing ideas.TTYS Crystal~

Hello everyone! We are also on the Dream 4/10 and 4/14-B2B! :cool1: This will be our 4th Disney cruise but first B2B! We are traveling with our UK friends of whom we met on the Wonder in 2007 and have cruised Disney together each year since except for this year, 2010. This year, the week of Thanksgiving, we're vacationing with them in Florida and going to US/IOA (our first time at those parks). My family consists of me (44), DH (45) and DD (13). We are booked in Cat. 5D! DH loves sitting on the verandah watching the ocean go by!
We're so excited about the new ship!! We decided not to cruise this year so that we could wait for the Dream in 2011! When we cruised in October of 2009 on the Magic there were quite a few CM's that remembered us from our cruise in 2008 and called us by name! I also won at Bingo last year! I love that game but have to limit my playing as it's so expensive! At the final Bingo on the last day I was "1" number away from winnnig the big jackpot of $4600.00!!! I almost wet my pants :rotfl2:.
So how many B2B families are there on this adventure? It looks to be quite a few from reading back.
How many have had thoughts of staying on the ship in the Bahamas?
Can't wait!! Happing planning everyone!

Ok, I've been around the Dis as a lurker since our first trip in '06 but dang it if I can't remember the password for this account (rarely posted). So, new day, new account!:goodvibes
Anyway, so we booked this just today--not much available on the ship these days! We ended up with a 9B on deck 2 after really considering a verandah. I have cruised before but it is new to my family so I figure will start with oceanview and I guarantee my hubby will want to rebook with balcony for another cruise while onboard
I earned an incentive trip to WDW/Coronado Springs Apr7-10 through my company and since we go to WDW every year, I figured BONUS! We can tack on a cruise since we'll already be down there and have our flight for free, etc. I am so over the moon about it.
It will be me (39) and DH (40 by then!) and DDs (7 and 9)
My oldest watches the DVD daily--if she knew about the dis she's be on here constantly! Wait'll I tell her about the fish extenders! :flower3:
Can't wait to meet you all :o)

Unfortuneately our friends had to cancel on this date as they cannot go until 2012. We evaluated going at this time by ourselves but it made more sense for us to go in early March. So, we will not be joining you on this cruise. We will still be doing our blog on our March Dream (back 2 back) cruise so maybe we can help in your planning before this cruise :)
Have a great voyage!

Yankee Trader is basically a surprise gift... Someone pulls the wrapped gift of their chosing, and then another person pulls one, but the twist is that the people get to choose to "Steal" the gift from another, and trade their wrapped gift. It is very fun, and interesting.
Have we decided on a name for our cruise as of yet? I am going to start working on the t-shirt graphic soon.
I was reading about FREE tickets to Kennedy Space Center. I got an email from my Congressman back, and they will give them to us. Maybe we could all go before the cruise...
Also.. I convinced my little brother, and his girlfriend to go on the cruise. This will be his 2nd DCL, and then they are doing the 14th. I have added them to the spreadsheet.

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge before our very first Disney cruise and really enjoyed it. It's a bit out of the way which has it's pluses and minuses. Very convenient to the Magic Kingdom and the theming and atmosphere is top-notch. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

The norm is gift in the FEs one time, and some folks wait until the second or third day so that each day your FE has surprises.
I made magnets and gave them out at the meet & greet, and sill did the FE gift, one gift or group of gifts per cabin. I am from NJ so I gave out a regional treat of salt water taffy as one of my surprises.
Other suggestions are note pads, felt tip pens, magnets, homemade photo books, homemade ornaments, stickers, etc...

Well everyone i almost wasn't on this cruise. I origanally booked on a December cruise and switched to this cruise back on May 25th. I recieved forms two days ago for my originall cruise . So i called thinking Disney just had us booked on both cruises. Disney some how had NO record of our booking of this cruise. I got no where with Disney. Which makes me very sad but i rebooked but had to up grade to a family sweet with a verandah. That i really didn't want because i like having two rooms since i have two teenachers anda preteen. I prefer having two seperate showers. I had no choice since nothing was avaliable . Now we will all be in one room but atleast were on the cruise. I just wish Disney would of took some responsiblity for this since i didn't dream up the connecting room # on two BTB cruises. They said they had NO RECORD of me speaking with a TRIC. Even though they have someone with that name. It was truely like a bad dream. I didn't have the heart to tell my family we weren't going so somehow i will come up with the rest of the $.
Don't be too sad, Concierge has it's priveleges.:cool1:
Do you have a stateroom number yet? My family and I are in 2 rooms on deck 12, A suite and a connecting family stateroom. #'s 12020 & 12018.
See you on board.:)

Hey everyone. Popping in here. Originally we had planned a 4/14 3 night.... 4/17 4 night B2B cruises. I was taking my dd on the 4/17 cruise as her class at school usually goes to camp and since she is now in middle school it is more difficult to make up work, figured perfect time to go on the cruise. Well school has started and now she really wants to do the camp trip with her class , so I may be doing the 4 night 4/10 cruise with the 4/14 3 night cruise... fly home and then go to camp the next day(thankfully it it is only for 52 hours). Then she will be off for Easter.
So anyhow.. introducing myself... I am Amy(46 :scared1:... how did that happen)... with Matti who will be 11 at cruise time and Kenzey who will be 9 at cruise time. Have a great hubby but he doesn't like to fly so yearly the girls and I do our own big trip. Usually it is a week in WDW in November but we did a 3 night Wonder trip last year and the girls really want to go on the dream.
Southwest comes out with flight times on tuesday so I will know for certain which cruises I will be on. Right now, all three are booked. can't wait to meet you all. Do know a couple who are posting on the 4/14 cruise alreay. :)

yoohooo... anyone here. :lovestruc Well official. I found 64$ flights for the way down. Will likely stay at the Hyatt like we did last cruise, very convenient and my kids found it to be fun. Still waiting for southwest for my return flight after our B2B cruise. Hopefully will have that booked tomorrow.

Just convinced my friend to join us on our cruise!!! We got lucky adding her to our room. Seems that this ship is pretty full. So now it will be myself-staci-3?, hubby-jim-the big 40, friend-shannon-33, dd-miranda-17, ds-dustin-13 & dd-morgan-7.
Kinda worried/concerned about the kid clubs cuz morgan is disabled and don't know how much she will be able to do w/out assistance. But regardless we will all have fun.

how is that working on previous reservations? My travel agent hasn't contacted me. I wonder how much they will stick to that. I prefer to not be on that close of a scheuule. I might like an earlier show one night and a later one the other :confused3. Since we are doing B2B it shouldnt' be a problem as when we did the three night, we hit a play every night, but with the back to back, we will spread the plays over the 7 days. We absolutely loved the plays but felt we missed some of the other fun stuff, so the B2b will allow us to enjoy it all.

The app is called AppBox Pro, it costs $.99. It has multiple apps in it. I plugged in the date our flight leaves in the "Days Until."app.There it will show how many days, but if you open the "Dashboard" app., it will show in days, hours, minutes, and seconds. Some of the other apps included are a tip calculator, a currency exchange calculator, and translator.
We are also staying at the parks until the 21. We are new DVC members at BLT and are really looking forward to spending the week at our new "Home" away from home.:thumbsup2
Looking forward to meeting everyone on board.

I am truly sad with DCL reservations right now also, they are not really willing to work with people. We were suppose to be booked in a four person room so we could add a fourth person. We never were and we have never been able to add the fourth person since the cruise is pretty full. Everytime we have asked they tell us to upgrade and too bad.
So my daughter's friend isn't going- hope she can find someone on the cruise to hang out with in the kids club. And also we are staying the night before at BLT and then through the 18th at BLT.

Count us in on this cruise --- FOR RIGHT NOW----
We have tried to switch to to the 17th cruise with no luck. We will keep trying as we don't want our DD to miss too much school. But we don't have our hopes up.
For now it is me, DH and DD who is 12.
She is kind of upset that she isn't old enough to go to the big kids club which is in the front part of the ship. She has made me promise to go again when she is old enough...these kids will break you.
I can't belive we are like 180 days away, I am so excited. Just got back from WDW and can't wait to go again. We have decided to drive down and then park at the marina for the couple days, still cheaper for us then flying and renting a car or taking the bus.

I am still very upset with them myself. This isn't our first cruise we have ever booked with them. They acted as if i made the whole thing up and it was n't their fault. It was totally their fault. that is the part that kills me the most. Take responsibility for the mistakes you make. I didn't dream up a name of a castmember or two seperate state room #'s on two BTB cruises. I just wish someone would of said sorry but they kept saying there was nothing they could do etc..
I know your daughter will make friends on the cruise. I have three childrenCharissa 20,Trent17 and Coral will be 12 by then they always meet so many great friends. This will be our 5th and 6th DC. I hope by then i can forget about this and actually enjoy the cruise. TTYS Crystal in PA.

We actually switched from the 17th to this one. They do release room at midnight each night and I peek more often than I need to at the rooms available for this cruise and our B2B 4/14 cruise.... the 17th does pop up occasionally for me(we are a party of 3, 1 adult and two kids). So you might get lucky and get in there.

So excited. Finally decided for sure that we are in for this cruise. Booked it a long time ago, but wasn't sure if finances would allow us to go, but we are definitely in now (airfare is purchased). It will be the second DIS cruise for me, my mom, my dd 9 (turning 10 on cruise) and dd 5. Can't wait. Hope we can get an FE off the ground, they are a lot of fun.

We are!! :dance3: Going to book flights today hopefully! Been holding out to get my credit vouchers from SW from last year (DD couldn't fly home due to the fact that when we got back to Orlando to stay a couple of days there we had to take her to Urgent Care. She was burning up with fever of 103 :scared1:! They said she had H1N1 so no flying...so had to keep our minivan rental and drive home :scared1: :scared1:) I also was hoping that I would get a DING w/SW but that hasn't happened so I guess I better go ahead and book! Right now SW has the flights we need at $122/there and $141/back. Not really what I was hoping for but oh well! I thought about booking just the flight down and waiting on the flight back but I'm scared that the price will only go higher so I don't think I want to risk it!
We're excited though!! We're cruising with our friends from the UK who we met on our 1st DCL cruise on the Wonder in 2007! This will now be our 4th and 5th DCL cruise together !
Anybody on looking to book the Fantasy this week? Too bad we're not cruising soon so that we can get the onboard rebooking discount!

I booked my flight home on opening day of Southwest and it hasn't changed. I kind of doubt it will as the later flight the cheapest fare is showing as "sold out". I did get cheap fare down thru Airtran(which will eventually be southwest).
We are going to skip cruising in 2012, or at least that is what I am thinking now. I am already planning my November 2011 usual week for WDW.

I booked through Dreams unlimited, so I check it every few days, that is how I found out about being moved to early dining and also my gty room number. I never did get any email letting me know these details, if I hadn't checked there, I wouldn't have known. My name is Amy... my girls are Matti and Kenzey. They will be 11 and 9 at cruise time. Although my 11 year old is very clingy, so I think she will go to the 10 and under club. :rolleyes1 She freaked out when I told her 11 years olds are free to roam the ship. She won't go the next isle at Walmart without me! I do not have the same cabin, but am still holding out that I will get them. We got upgraded(stunned since it was just the three of us since daddy isnt' coming) last cruise at about 60 days out. Again, no real notification, just stumbled upon it on my reservation. If not, I will pack a suitcase for the first leg and a separate one for the second leg... that is sort of what I did last year when we combined a disney cruise with also going to Disney/Discovery Cove and Sea World. I do know last time we wanted to change our dining rotation... and went to Wavebands. There were a ton of people there changing and they have all these cards with new times/rotations on it, so not sure how many is in your party, but by going to wavebands, we even ended up at a table of our own!, a table designed for 4.... just by asking to have our rotation changed. We did not plan on going to dinner after Atlantis, just getting room service instead and enjoying the verandah we were upgraded to, and I didn't want to miss Animators Palate, so that is why we switched rotation. So I wouldn't lose hope about early dining yet, unless you have a group larger than 4. As far as transportation, I got a car for the way back to the airport(for like $45!!) as our flight doesn't leave till mid/late afternoon. The girls really want to take the bus for the "excitement" factor and my hubby said he would prefer we pay for the bus so we don't miss the ship!... so I do have that transfer figured out. Plus with the Hyatt, I don't have to mess with luggage, another bonus when I am traveling alone. Getting excited.
We are heading to NYC this coming weekend, the weather is looking 60 degrees... so I am clueless what to pack. Got my essentials packed and then will figure out clothes maybe on tuesday. Hope it stays nice, we are doing the double decker bus on fri and sat and it would be nice to be able to sit on top for a bit of it. :)

Thanks for all the info Amy. I actually found all of the state room stuff out after i asked you these ?. I booked threw Disney but still am being told no early seating available yet. I just can't see my 11 year old daughter Coral waiting until 9pm for dinner if we have the 8:30 seating. By the time you order and get served it will be so late. I did have the 6pm ressie until we found out Disney lost our first reservation. It has been really frustrating since then but atleast we are on the cruise. We have 5 so we usually have a tabel alone. I still would rather two inside state rms instaed a family suite with a veranda because with two rms you have two showers and i have a 20 yr old and 17 yr old lol. I just hope were not totally on top of each other and fighting for bth rm time.
I too am getting really excited! I still need to find someone to add one of us on their ressie for Atlantis on the second half of our BTB cruise or i will be in the spa alone.(not that i would mind) My DD was clingy until our last DC. From Disney website on 10/26...Hey Disney Parks Bloggers! Today we have some fun news to share with you as we have just unveiled the lineup of entertainment for our newest cruise ship, the Disney Dream.
Our Guests will delight to some of the most elaborate original musicals presented at sea, over-the-top deck parties and, bursting above it all, the largest fireworks spectacular aboard a cruise ship.
Headlining the musical repertoire is “Disney’s Believe,” an original stage spectacular that combines a heartfelt story with a captivating musical score. Other productions include fan favorite “The Golden Mickeys: A Timeless Tribute,” featuring new musical numbers, and “Villains Tonight!” a fun-filled musical comedy starring Disney’s most famous evil-doers.
In addition to our nightly stage shows, we are re-imagining our popular “Pirates IN the Caribbean” evening with the creation of three distinct deck events:
* The evening starts with “Mickey’s Pirates in the Caribbean,” an interactive show featuring Disney characters.
* Later, Captain Jack Sparrow unleashes “Club Pirate,” a high-tech, open-air dance party.
* Of course, we’re still the only cruise line with fireworks at sea. We’ll take this distinctive Disney offering a step further with “Buccaneer Blast!” A new pyrotechnic spectacular featuring more fireworks than ever before synchronized to a dramatic musical score.

I decided to hold off packing for NYC till tuesday. We will just be there from mid day Thursday through Sunday(our flight back leaves LGA at 2pm).... so figure I will wait and see for sure if it is going to decent weather. Crossing my fingers till then.

Awesome !!! Thanks for all the new info. I am so happy you verified Pirates night!!! I am so excited and get started thinking of costumes for the family. :cool1:

We are doing Atlantis for sure on the three night, so you can tag one along on my reservation. I don't mind and actually would like to ride over with someone else. We will likely go fairly early whenever we can get off the ship, like 930ish....
I decided to hold off packing for NYC till tuesday. We will just be there from mid day Thursday through Sunday(our flight back leaves LGA at 2pm).... so figure I will wait and see for sure if it is going to decent weather. Crossing my fingers till then.
Amy , that sounds great! Will all go over together and the earlier the better. Thanks so much! Will work out what i owe you on the ship if that's ok. Thanks so much!

Hello everyone. Wanted to let you know that I am very close to having the TShirt template finished. I am going to keep it under wraps because I don't want too many other cruising to get the thought.
We need to get moving on the Spreadsheet for the Fish Extender, Yankee Trader, Dinner, etc...
I need to make sure everyone is on the same page with the shirts...
I will be bulk purchasing the Iron On Sheets and the TShirts. I will then divide the total spent against the amount of Shirts being requested. I can ship, or give shirts at the boat. I would appreciate PayPal for the shirts either way.
I will have the template up by Saturday. Please keep the template under wraps so we don't have the "everybody look" on our shirts.
Thanks.
John
If anyone needs to discuss anything they can PM me and we can exchange numbers then.

Hi everyone. I have several PM's to get to. I have had a horrible few weeks. On November 20th, my father passed away after battling cancer for a year. He lives out of state and I was able to make it up there before he passed and stayed until after the funeral.
Over the last several months, I have been taking my daughter to doctors to try to get her foot healed. She has a foot issue and had just been put into a wheelchair before the funeral.
Upon return home, we were involved in a car accident. A girl texting did not stop at the light and the front of her vehicle ended up in the back of my new Honda Van. My mother, daughter and myself were injured and my van was a total loss. Everything in the back of the van was crushed. Thank goodness my daughter was in the center seat, not the back or she would have been seriously injured.
So even though I dropped into the boards a little, I could not bring myself to think of my upcoming cruise.
I have answered all the PM's to add to cruise - only a few from our group - let me know if you want to join the group.
Sorry to hear of all your adversity. My mom passed away this past April. It is a huge void, you just don't know life without them. My thoughts and prayers are with you. :grouphug: Glad you are all safe. Our country really needs to do something about cell phones and driving. I hope things start turning up for you.

Did everyone see this?
Beginning Dec. 16, 2010, on the Disney Wonder® and Dec. 18, 2010, on the Disney Magic®, families will have a great new way to stay in touch with one another while onboard the ship. Portable Wave Phones will enable Guests to contact other members of their party while separated onboard the ship or ashore at Disney’s Castaway Cay. With the exception of Castaway Cay, these phones will not function while off the ship. Two portable wave phones will be installed in each Guest stateroom. The Royal and 2-bedroom suite categories will have four wave phones. All Guests are encouraged to utilize the phones to stay connected with one another. However, Guests can opt out of using these phones and the service in their staterooms will be shut off. If Guests would like an additional phone for their family, they may rent one at Guest Services located on Deck 3, mid-ship for an additional cost of $3.50 per day for the duration of the voyage. These phones are replacing the paging system used by Youth Activities. Parents with children participating in the various activities will never be more than a text message or phone call away. If the phones are lost or damaged, or are not returned to the stateroom prior to debarkation, a $250 charge per phone will be applied to the Guest’s stateroom account. The charge will be mentioned on the payment authorization form that is printed with online documents and in the Guest Ticket Booklet.
Sounds like a great idea for me, especially as my 11 year old wont' stray even a few feet from me. She said, "gee I can go get pop without you". To that will be nice. I wonder how small they are and if they will fit in the lanyard pouch, only concern is losing it, especially if they all look alike.

I do need some FE 101. I have read many threads, but I still don't quite understand.

2. Do you leave things in your own FE for people who come by?

Here is how ours worked last time. Someone organizes it. Anyone who wants on the FE list pm's that person their room number and the names(or at least male/female) and ages. The organizer then gives everyone a list of families and room numbers. If room numbers changed, they usually would tell us at the meet, we meet at the pool at 3pm. We had about 14 families. I made CD's of disney park movies for the adults and then got stuff like nail polish for the girls and buzz lightyear activity book for the boys, ect... depending on age. Many people also like to put where they are from a bit into their gift, so I added Steeler's pencils(we cruised in Nov 09). One family gave scratch offs from minnesota and then if you won, they just reimbursed you and took the card back(although we won and never saw them again since it was only a 3 day cruise). We got some stuff for pirate night too. You can leave about anything. The delivery of gifts works like this.... whenever you have time, you just go and deliver your gift to the various staterooms. It is nice that everyone didn't do it all at once, it seemed like every time we were coming back to our room there were goodies waiting for us. It is also fun delivery the stuff, it helped us learn our way around the ship. So we did a few each day. Hope that helps some. :)

You have to cancel excursions 3 days before to not be charged, do you think I really need to reserve a bike or are they quite plentiful?? You don't have to pick a time, even though the bike rental is only an hour, so I am gathering they are plentiful. Also, are they just standard bikes or do they have bicycles built for two(not babies, but something I could ride with my 8 year old) ??? off to bed, this midnight stuff if not my cup of tea, but didn't want to wait till morning since I hit the 90 day mark.

Not sure where I learned this. If you go to the disneycruise site and log into castaway club it will tell you the date you can book. It is very accurate too as it wouldn't let me book at midnight, not till like 12:04am. I am having second thoughts of Blue Lagoon.... err.. we just loved Atlantis so much last cruise. Atlantis is an exhausting day though and I just wanted to do something on this first leg of the B2B that was a little different, got us off the ship for a bit, but not the whole day. Decisions, Decisions.
Favorites and tips: We loved the all hand on deck cheese/fruit trays through Room service. We didn't like dinner through room service though. We thought it would be cool after our long day at Atlantis to just eat on the verandah, but it took 50 min to get there and wasn't the best. If we decide to skip the dining rooms, will go to counter service and take back to the room or the buffett.
I will bring a larger tote/duffel bag this time for getting off at CC. For the newbies, they hand you towels as you get off the ship, last time I just took a small backpack off and had wished I would have had a larger bag to put those towels in as we stopped at several character pictures on the way to the beach.
This time I won't insist on my youngest dd NOT spending time in the kids club. She truly did love it. I will want her to spend quality time with me, but last time I only let her go three time for an hour and made her sit through a dinner that she did not really enjoy. :confused3
When boarding, they tend to send some people upstairs and others into the inside dining. If you prefer one over the other, dont' be afraid to tell them. It was a chilly windy Nov day and we had really wanted to eat upstairs, but since it was so cold, we preferred to eat at Parrot Cay. They were directing everyone upstairs and I politely said, no we will wait here... and it turned out to not really be any wait.
If you don't like your dining rotation, go to whatever is equivilent of Wavebands on the Dream, they will change it for you without question.
Biggest tip.... if you are not going to the sitdown breakfast on the last day, tell your room steward. We did not tell him and he walked in on us. :rolleyes1
Lets all keep the tips coming.... it is a great reminder for myself too.

Her bday10/4. The counselors did everything to coax her, but she would not go. Even the last night when I was going to pack. They asked, "is she homeschooled, we see this in alot of the homeschoolers?" She isn't, but does go to a very small catholic school, only 90 kids in k-8. She has always been clingy and had some mild anxiety/separation issues. Interestingly though, once she feels comfortable, you would never know it. I had sat down before school and briefed her new teacher(who was new to our school). At the time, she didnt' even want to go to school, she wanted to be home schooled(we blamed alot on my mom passing away a few months before and it was a rough summer for all of us). Her teacher and I were talking the other day and she was said she has never seen any of that anxiety and she has become the teachers favorite student as she is always smiling and is so nice to all the other kids. So I do think if she would try it, she would like it. I do know too she likes one on one time with me, which is great too... but I hope these cruises(we are doing B2B) she finds a balance.

Atlantis is, but if you go the CS way it is more affordable. We are doing it on the second leg of our b2b this time and we absolutely loved it last cruise. It was worth the money, especially since we dont' really do any excursions on CC.

We're first-timers and not in Concierge so doubt they'll even be available for us...but if we can get one, we'd be interested in splitting the cost with a family with 1-2 kids. Any takers? Advice on CC also welcome. :thumbsup2

I have uploaded the graphic that I am almost done with for the T-Shirts.
I have the spreadsheets ready to go for everyone to use.
They can be gotten by going to my FB, and request friend. Then you will be able to get to the spreadsheet, etc. http://www.facebook.com/jmarsden92
For the Fish Extenders PLEASE try to fullfill the amount of people that are participating if possible.
For the T-Shirts I just need everyone to note the spreadsheet if they will be wanting one. Once I have a count I will figure out the final cost of the shirts. I can do some extra stuff if you want, and as long as it fits on the transfer there is no additional cost. The shirts will be "Cost of shirt + Transfer" nothing else.
I will be making a "Dis" pin for everyone that is going, so PLEASE give accurate counts.
I would like to plan a dinner the night before the cruise. I will be able to attend the dinner prior to the 10th cruise, but not the 14th.
I am also in the works of getting decent pricing for cruisers at one of the hotels by the port. I will be working on getting one that offers a "Park and Cruise" package.
Email me directly with your FB name, and any other info I may need.
Thanks again.

I have an offer to give us a group rate if we book with a minimum of 10 rooms. I can imagine the discount they will offer based on my discussion with the sales manager. Let me know. You will get free shuttle, and parking. Thanks...
BTW... Just add me as a friend on FB and I can add you to the group. I had to redo the spreadsheet because so many people were having a challenge with Google documents. This way will work, and be much easier.

Hi guys! We are really interested in finding out more about the FE for this cruise! This is our first Disney cruise and we are so excited! Is it too late to get involved? Any info you guys can give me will be great!
Also, will anyone have small kids on the cruise with them? We are bringing our two little girls (2 & 4) and would love to have some playmates for them in the club!

Thought I might throw in another tip for newbies. Each day you get paper called a Personal Navigator. It has the events of the listed. We usually take a highlighter and highlight what we are interested in. Also, people kindly post them here on disboard before the cruise and when we cruised they were essentially the same. So I printed them off and it gave the girls something to do on the plane.
We are staying at the Hyatt because I flight gets in 815ish and I didn't want to do the rental car thing at night. We stayed there last time and love it. I was able to book with a choice certificate for $139.

I really don't think 7 or 8 will be much different. We actually have 7 for our second leg of our B2B, it was my first choice. My room that ended up on 8 was a gty status room. I think midship is most important and then I would chose aft over forward.

Kim... the kids are having a ball emailing! Thanks. Matti has been saying she doesn't want to go on the cruise as we get back on sunday and her class is going to Camp Fitch on Lake Erie Monday-Wednesday(I am chaperoning:scared1:). Then they are off school for 5 days for Easter. She is worried about missing her dad. I tried to explain to her the other scenario, stay home with dad and miss her sister and I was we are only a glorious cruise and gone 8 days..... which would be more fun? She will see her dad that Sunday night and he is going to take her to school and hang around until the bus leaves on Monday. She will then have 5 days to spend with daddy after camp as he is a teacher and off too. Chatting with their "new BFF" about the cruise is definitely helping her get more excited. My younger one is super excited about the cruise, almost as much as her obsessed mom!
Where are you staying the night before the cruise? Our flight doesn't get in until 815pm, so I just booked the hyatt with a choice certificate.

Erin is having fun too. She just loves checking her email to see if anything has come. It is great. We get in at about 230 on the 9th, so we will be staying at the Country Inn and Suites at the port. We will leave the rental car there while on the cruise so we can head right to Disney when we get off the boat. I too am a Disney freak, but there are worse vices to have. We will have to try and set something up so the girls can meet up when we board.

I am looking forward to exploring the ship. Our first cruise was just a three night. We went to Atlantis and spent most of the day at CC. Each night we saw a play, so I never really got to enjoy the ship. This time we are doing B2B so we should have time to actually see more of the ship!

What are you most excited to see or do while on the Dream?
I can't wait to be immersed in everything. Last cruise (March 2010) was me and hubby and we just relaxed. I have yet to see a show but plan to this time. I also really just want to see my youngest face as she sees the ship for the first time. She was 15 months old when we first went on a cruise.
We have been talking about it alot lately, watching the Disney Cruise DVD, watching youtube videos, looking at lots of pictures, and unfortunately she doesn't grasp the idea of "not today" Everyday she is saying "ship" & "up"(for plane) and we are telling her not for a long time (81 sleeps)
I spend most my time looking for something to read about the Dream. Heck I was just looking at the Fantasy for next year.
Cant wait!!! But I have to

I went ahead and booked through Disney. It wasn't that much cheaper and Nassau creeped the girls out last time(since we dont' have daddy with us to "protect" us). I am doing Atlantis on the second leg of my B2B through Comfort Suites, but have Tinkattitude 6(hey Tink, what is your first name, :) ) and her family are going to ride over with us and I am going to try to get a cab with other people coming back. Last time we were suppose to meet up to go back with people, but they ended up leaving early and couldn't find us to tell us. It was starting to get a little "dusk"(about 5pm in Nov) so I just grabbed a cab. It was just a little scary for the girls and I. Once out of the cab we just ran up to a couple who were walking back to the ship and asked if we could join them as we felt a bit uncomfortable.
I also have an 11 year old, but she is going to go to the kids club with her younger sister, if she goes at all. Last time she didnt', but I think this time she will at least try it. She has been emailing Kim's daughter and has gotten a bit more excited about it all.

HI Amy,
I don't know how to do it, but it would be nice to link the reservations. I should warn you though that my girls would eat their dinner pretty quickly and then go off to the kids club each night while my Mom and I enjoyed our dessert and coffee on our last cruise. Email me your reservation number(infanti@comcast.net) and I will send an email off to DCL. They might not do it, but they do read the emails as I have emailed them about 3 different things and gotten responses twice. We only did a three night cruise the last time and I hadn't learned that you can have them eat early and send off to the kids club, so we only ate in the dining room ONCE. Plus Matti never went to the kids club for even a second and I would so like to just have a little bit of "me" time this cruise. How wonderful it would be to just sit and enjoy dessert like a grown up. I went into the last cruise as "this is a family vacation, and we are doing everything together as a family".... and thus poor Kenzey, who loved the kids club, only got to go in for an hour maybe 3 times. With the new dream and my new years resolution of finally taking care of myself, I would love to be able to explore the ship a bit, maybe even get on the treadmill in the fitness club, or hmmm.. read a book. Crazy eh!!

We are me (39) DH (40) and two girls (9) and (7)--they'll be looking for friends in the clubs!
I friend requested our FB "Leader" lol and hopefully it isn't too late to get in on the FE etc.
I've cruised before but it is all new for the rest of the fam. I earned a free WDW trip 4/7-4/10 so we'll be coming straight from that. SO EXCITED!!!!

Hey Amy! It's Crystal(tinkattude6) lol,we are from The Poconos in PA. I am so behind on all of this not sure i jouned the FE on this leg of the cruise or just the last. Who else besides us is doing the BTB with this cruise first. Where is your state room. We are #6134.

Crazy eh!!
Amy, can u give me Disneys email address. We are wait listed for early dinner and we really don't want to eat at 8:30 or after 9pm when you finally get served. BTW you can add ressies to each others dinning , maybe we could do the same thing this way will get early, if you don't mind. Last time we ha a group of about 13 tabels ,not the same tabel but all near one another.

We are in room 8063. I have to switch rooms for the B2B, hoping they end up giving me the same room, i really don't care where it even is.
I just emailed through the disney cruise site. Can you come up with a reason, anyone diabetic or prediabetic? https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/contact-us/
I will email my TA and see about the linking dinner reservations.
Crystal, I know you and I are b2b the 10th and 14th. Are TECHJMP or DISNUTDAD also B2B with us?? I have lost tract too. Alenushka is B2B the 14/17th.

Hello all! I have been following up with the group and we just paid the cuise last week so we can say we are officially going!!!! :cool1: It's going to be me (35) DH (35) an we have a DD 4 and a brand new DD 6 months (of course she already went to WDW last september at 10 weeks!) and my mom is coming also! so we would love to meet the other 4 year olds out there! we are staying in room 8668 so we have someone close by from what I remember from another post and we live in Cary, NC so add us to the NC group!!!
Also I did not had a facebook account but seeing that there is a group there I finally decided to join and now i just have to find out how it works and get the hold of it....
No way! Another Tar Heel!!!! Hey, funny story....I kept seeing a picture of a DISer back in 2006. She looked so familiar. The more posts she made, the weirder it got until one day I screamed, "THAT'S CAR #XX from the CARPOOL LINE AT SCHOOL." :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Our children still go to school together although we have never really chatted before. We ran into each other at open house last summer and it turned out we both had trips planned to Disney at the same time last October.
There are two other DISers flying out of RDU to MCO around 4/8/11.

Don't worry too much. From previous experience and posts here, most waitlisted get the dining they desire, if not before the cruise, you can change it once onboard.

Thanks, I hope so. I think i do remember changeing it on one cruise. i really don't like eating that late and my DD 12 always gets tired and cranky after 7 if she doesn't eat. I would like to enjoy our dinners together not wanna send her to the club lol.

Just wondering what are everyones plans the night befor the cruise. I think i am booking The Raddison again. I would love to do a meet if eveyone is up to it. I know someone was planing it but i haven't heard much since then. Anyone in? And does anyone know any plans of one yet?

haha... by chance you don't have room 7677 do ya? I have that for my second leg of the cruise and I am so hoping to end up with the same room so we don't have to move our stuff. If we do have to move our stuff, I am packing two different bags for each leg, so only will have to pack toiletry stuff.
Amy. if you find someone with the same room i know you can switch. I did this on the last DC because my travel agent put my kids almost a 100 rooms awy and i found someone to switch with us ,since the agent couldn't fix it. I no longer use that agency lol. We are staying in our room so we can just leave our stuff. I am very happy for that. Wish you lots of pixie so you can find the same thing.

Was it a DISer on this thread who sent me the promo code? The rooms with the code are around $80 per night.

We are staying at the Hyatt since our flight does not get in until 815pm. I have been searching for someone with one of the same room numbers. I have an 11A(midship)for this leg and an 11B(aft) for the 4/14. I would even give someone my midship if I could find the same room. So if anyone has 7677 for this cruise, I would gladly let you have my midship 11A. Crystal, they can only link if you already have early. Crossing my fingers for you that you get moved to it. I know I had to change my rotation last time as we were going to just order room service the day we went to Atlantis... and they were changing a ton of reservations on board, seemed like everyone was getting jut about whatever they wanted.
Crystal, what rate did you get for CS(for next leg of cruise)? I "may" be able to use my choice points from my choice privileges card. I got a AAA of $225 plus all those crazy fees, so if you rate is higher, maybe we can juts leave my AAA room IF i get the room with reward points and figure that out ??? make sense... ok, I have been online way too much since I got home from "work". I substituted today. Only my 3rd time this year, but hey, a little bit of disney money. :thumbsup2

Make it 3 (Tarheel) DIS'ers! We live near Williamston, NC (about 2 hours from the Outer Banks). We are cruising B2B too :cool1:! This will be mine and DD's 5th & 6th Disney cruise. Our 4th will be in March! I have 2 sisters, one who loves Disney cruising just as much as I do and is going in May with her DH. They rebooked onboard this past October when they went with her daughter and daughter's husband (their 1st time with Disney). I have been trying to get my other sister to go with me on a Disney cruise for a couple of years now and out of the blue she called me one evening and said she had some time off from work in March and wanted to go on the Disney Dream! So....I'm sure you know the rest :woohoo: . We're going on the 3N on March 10th. It'll be me, DD, my sister and her two kids (ages 16 and 20) so that one will be mine and DD's 4th Disney cruise. DH can't make that one :sad2: .
Now back to our April cruises!! Back in 2007 we sailed with Disney for the 1st time on the Wonder. Our tablemates were a terrific family from Southampton England and we hit it off immediately! So much so that we rebooked onboard and sailed together again on the Magic in 2008 and again in 2009! We are meeting them at MCO on April 8th and cruising on this B2B Dream cruise! We are over-the-top excited!! Happy cruising everyone!

Welcome. You will have to fill us in with all the details with your March 10th cruise. Be sure to bring back navigators.
There are three other of us(at least we think that is the right count!) here on Disboard that are B2Bing too. Are you staying at the Hyatt inside the airport on the 8th? That is where we will be.
Glad you joined in our group... we are slowing inching our way to an active bunch of posters!!! It was a bit slow there for awhile! How old is your DD??

In hotel speak it means "run of house", they pick the room type when you arrive. Its like GTY on the cruise. They don't assign you a room type until you check in.

Is there a limit to the number of people in their ROH rooms? We are a family of 5 (2a3c)
I was getting a price of +200$ when I tried online, I think it was putting us in a 2 bedroom
