What is the most cost effective way to book a vacation. 3 people for 3 nights at BWI with Resort Magic through AAA is $1817. I think if I would book seperately it would only be $1446.78 That's 3 nights of $319 totaling $957 and 3 Ultimate Park Hoppers at 163.26 totaling $489.78. Added together is a total of $1446.78. Is this right? Or did I make a mistake somewhere. If this is right how would I go about booking this. Would I just make room ressies then when i arrived add on the ultimate park hopper or could I do that when I make the room ressies have them add just a 3 day uph. Thanks

If you have a Disney Club membership you might consider getting a quote on a package from them. They have a good deal right now with room discounts and $50 off of the package price.
This is a good deal, but usually you can get by cheaper if you book everything separately.

It all depends on the package, and your travel dates. I've had good luck with both.
I believe that your UPH would have to be for 4 days, taking the price to 221.55/pass. I could be wrong. But either way, it's still cheaper to book each piece seperately.
When are your travel dates, anyway? I love to search for good hotel deals! :)

My dates will be June 25-27 2003.

On most occasions, buying it seperately is the more cost effective route. Most packages do not save you money.

You said originally you had three nights, but the dates you gave would only have a 2 night hotel stay.
Also, I believe that the deluxe resorts charge $25 per night per person that is more than 2 adults. So, for a third person, you'd have to pay an extra $50 for a two night stay.
SO, with that info, here's what it breaks down to if you book it yourself:
2 nights at the BWI @ $319 = $638
$25/night charge = $50
3 UPH @ 163.26 = 489.78
For a total of: 1177.78, which is substantially cheaper than what you listed. In this case, booking seperately is a lot cheaper.

OOPS! I goofed it's 3 nights of June 25,26,27. Thanks for the help so far. What would I do to change the price to reflect the correct dates.

I see! You're checking out on the 28!!! Gotcha. ;)
Then it would be:
3 nights, BWI @ $319 = $957
1 person, 3 night surcharge @ $25 = $75
3 UPH @ $221.55 = 664.65
Totaling: 1696.65
Still cheaper than the package you were looking at! :)
You also asked about purchasing the UPH, I would wait until you get to the resort. Because I believe you can have a day dropped off the pass. It is for length of stay, so it begins on the day you check in, and ends on the day you check out. I'm not sure of the restrictions on that, because I usually just buy the plain old Park Hopper passes.

You could also save more money by skipping the UPH, and getting one day/one park passes for $50 each for 3 days each =$450, or you could do bounce back tickets added to the one day passes.:):D:)
