Does anyone have an opinion - Will there be lots of college kids at DW on Spring Break - or will they all be at Daytona? Daughter is using our points & worried that there won't be other kids there her age?

I think there are always college students at WDW. As to how many, it depends on when she will be there. I know most large schools here in the Midwest and West are on spring break this week- private schools may have another schedule.

I was at WDW last year during spring break and took a side trip to Daytona. The weather was not too great, and there was hardly anyone there. I have heard that Daytona has lost a lot of it's Spring break clientel to Cancune, etc.
Last year there were definately more folks at WDW. Also, there is always a resident crowd of about 2,000 college students that are there as part of the WDW College Program.

My kids go to private school, and we are leaving tomarrow for WDW as it is there spring break. We have been doing this the last 5 years, and there are always a lot of kids. It seems that there are a lot of children from England, Texas and other southern states there during this time of year. Have Fun !!!!

I'm sure there will be college kids at WDW. However, it won't be the wild college party you'll find at Daytona, Panama Beach, Cancun, etc. For one thing, it's too expensive to stay on-site for most college kids and they don't allow underage drinking. I'm sure they'll find lots of fun at WDW but not wild times.

I have 2 boys in college - both in New York State. One had spring break last week (as did most of his friends at other colleges). My other son is on break this week.
Hopefully we'll all be at BWV next year for spring break!

bjcgl,
i just posted a reply to your message on the trip board. i did not see that they are staying at okw. we were just there last week and had a great time. not too many college kids at our hotel though. too expensive. like i said in the other post if they are 21 make sure they go to jellyrolls at the BW. we did not have a car but took the bus to Downtown and then to BW. we always took a cab back usually ran around $7.00 with tip. we were there 3 out of 5 nights. obviously our favorite part of the trip.

Thanks for the replies! Disney addict - they are not 21, so no jellyrolls this time! I think they may try the swing place @ BW - did you go there? Did you go to theme parks, water parks, etc? Thanks again!

This is a great thread for the Theme Parks Board and has been moved there.
Thanks!
