View Full Version : Let me make sure I have this right: Concierge guests don't stand in line to board?

It's my understanding that concierge guests don't have to wait in that huge line in the terminal to board the ship. Right?

I'd hate to sit around thinking I don't have to wait, only to end up being at the back of that line!!

Is their a different line for concierge guest? Can they board earlier or what's the scoop?

Is this also true for Castaway Club cruisers??

THANKS!!

I actually just got off the phone with the concierge representative, and was told that there is a seperate check in line for concierge guests at the port, and you will wait in the front fo the line and board first (after wheelchair and other special assistance guests).

We were in a suite. We waited up front but not in the lines. There isn't a concierge line and not really a need for one. We sat comfortably on the couches up front. They boarded handicapped guests and then concierge. They'll know because your KTTW card is a different color (gold vs. blue when we sailed in Jan.).

Would definitely make sense to me that concierge guests board first, or next to first after those guests requiring assistance. At the Grand Floridian concierge guests are checked in separately and speeded along. Or at least that's what I remember. :D

Castaway Club cruisers have to wait in the main boarding line with everyone else, unless they are also in a concierge suite. There is a separate check-in line for Castaway Club, but in my experience, it is usually longer than many of the general check-in lines, so I usually use one of them.

I guess I have nothing much to add that the others haven't already said. You will check in at a special concierge check-in area and they will escort you to the waiting area...not line. Relax on the couches and they will let you know when to board. Then the line will begin to board when the concierge area is done.
This is how it worked in May.

...and the other part is not.

It will seem sort of funny to watch half of our group board as we stay behind & wave buh bye.
:p

We have the same dilemma. Our TA checked with Disney and told us that we could board together...to just tell them when we check in.

Of course, for us it's just one family, so not sure if it's a big group. Can't hurt to ask, right! :D

What a cool idea!!! I'm going to try it.

And here I was thinking the only perk we would inherit was the Palo's ressie for brunch & dinner!! Thanks!!! :bounce:
