Hello there, We are a family of 4 heading out on the Dream's first valentines cruise! :lovestruc:lovestruc We will both be 35 at that time and we will have a 7 yr old girl and 4 yr old boy with us. This will be our second cruise. Was going to do a 7 day, but really wanted to be on the DREAM close to when it first comes out. Anyone else joining us?

We'll be on this cruise as well. It will be our first cruise. My family includes me, my dh, my 11 y/o dd, 9 y/o dd and 7 y/o ds (at the time of sail).
We'll spend a few days at WDW before the cruise (gotta have the ride fix) and then hope to relax w/ the Disney flair on the cruise.
See you in about a year!!!!

Hi All,
We hope to join all of you on this cruise but we won't know until April as we are going to book onboard to get the discount. We are just hoping it is not sold out! This will be the cruise that makes us "gold" :)
Chad J.
We'll be there! This 4-day will be the 2nd part of a B2B cruise for us. We loved the 7 day, but really wanted to cruise on the Dream, so we'll be doing the 3-nighter on 2/10..
It'll be myself, Jodi & my husband Bruce, & our 2 DS; Eli - 15&16 (celebrating a bday on board!!) & Spencer - 15. Eli is my step-son, in case anyone was trying to do the math, :rotfl:.
Looking forward to getting to know you all over the next year!popcorn::

So I have been reading the Cruise threads and the 'Fish Extender' thing sounds really cool, especially since we will be cruising on Valentine's Day! :lovestruc
Anyone else ever do this in the past or plan on doing it next year? I would love to do it if anyone is interested!

Hi everyone! DH, DD (8 by cruise time) and I will be joining you on this cruise :) We were originally planning to cruise the Dream at the end of March but after reading so much about it, we couldn't wait that long.
DH will celebrate his birthday (2/15) on the cruise so that's extra exciting for us!

Hello All! DW and I will also be on this cruise. We are from Vienna, Virginia (near DC) and this will be the first of a B2B pair; we will also be on the February 17 Dream and, after that one, we will be platinum! 296 more days. -- Dave & Jackie

Hi All,
We just returned from the Wonder and we had to change our dates for next year so we won't be joining you as planned :( My wife is a lead on the Canada Games that we are hosting in our city next year and it happens to be over these two weeks.
Have fun everyone!

Our group will be 7 in number, DH, DD, DD, DSIL, DGSx2. The boys will be 3 and 5 when we cruise and are already very excited. U2FanHfx--sorry you won't be with us. Our DD, DSIL and the 2 boys are from Halifax also.
DH and I cruise in Feb annually and the fact that schools are closed 2 weeks this year made this possible for them.
This is our 3rd Disney Cruise. We have cruised Carnival, Princess, Celebrity, NCL and love all of them, but Disney is the most fun. No line has a sail away like Disney! It such a nice change from the other cruise lines. And Castaway Cay is the best private island!
The goodie share is a cute idea. Won't the kids love that. We're in if anyone else wants to do this.
Keep posting. We're on Cruise Critic also.

We booked this cruise while on the Eastbound TA a couple of weeks ago. :thumbsup2
This will be our shortest cruise. We have only done 7 and 14 day cruises on the Magic. We're looking forward to the change though. This will be the cruise that makes us Platinum Castaway Club members. :yay:

OK, I will start some chit-chat... :surfweb:
My copy of Passporter's DCL just came in at the library. Pretty much finished it up in less than 2 days and now I really can't wait! I have only cruised on RCCL and Princess, and Passporter was great to see how DCL is different. DH will start reading it next!
I still haven't figured out where we are staying Thurs-Sun before the cruise. Normally I stay off site b/c I have a timeshare.... but I really want to just land at MCO, hop on DME and stay onsite w/o a car and just soak up Disney! We have AP's so I will be booking a room only for 3 nights, I have no clue if I should just book a value since we won't be spending a lot of time in the room, or do I go mod or even something like Wildreness Lodge? Or do I try renting DVC points and get a studio since I am used to staying in a villa? I HAVE NO CLUE!- lol I guess I won't know until 2011 rates are announced and AP discount is released. Hotel for after the cruise is all set, on Sun my parents will drop us off at the ship and then check into our timeshare (most likely Marriott Harbour Lake-DD loves the pool.) That covers us until Sunday 2/20 when we fly home.
I just booked my parents rental car, boy rates have gone up! I finally booked them what I think is a good deal, but it is still $75 more than the car we had Feb 2010.
I just booked the Feb 13th cruise yesterday! I am sooo excited.
Let's see... my name is Carrie, the cruise will just be me and the hubby (Ryan). Our three kids will be staying with the grandparents! We are staying at BLT Wednesday-Sunday before the cruise. I am so excited. It is our five year anniversary on Feb 10th- so it will be such an awesome trip for me and the hubby.
This is our second cruise (first was last September on the DVC member cruise), and I just loved the Dis Boards before the last trip. (I was a Dis Junkie). It was so much fun meeting everyone, and then really seeing them on the ship! I still talk to some of them!
We did the fish extenders- I did see someone had mentioned that as well- and as we gain more people on here, it could be a lot of fun for us to do.
Talk to you soon!!

Hey Michelle~
One more question for you. I noticed one of your tickers said you were going to storybookland. I am thinking of doing a road trip out west this summer, and was thinking of going to one out there. Have you been before? How do you like it?

Skip right over the Magic and the Wonder to go for the "Big Boy!". :wizard:

The DISBoards is a great place to plan any cruise. :thumbsup2 Our last cruise (TA to Barcelona) we had a group of over 300 DISBoard members. The crew know who we are too!
My DW and I have been a part of a DISBoard group on several cruises. We stay in touch with many of them and are even having a "reunion" cruise to Alaska next summer.
Doing the Fish Extender is a MUST! :cloud9:

I would LOVE to go on the Alaska cruise. I'm thinking we may do it in 2012. My little ones will be older then- and they might really get into some of the things we would see.
I'm just looking forward to this cruise with just my husband and I. Our kids had a blast on the last cruise in September, but I felt like we missed a lot of things because one of us was always in the room with a sleeping baby etc. Lots of good family time, but other than dinner at Palo's- little couple time.
what are your must do's when on a Disney cruise?
We are going to book Palo again. Not sure about Remy's- I have no idea if I would like French food. And I think I want to do a couples massage at Castaway Cay. Mary (a fellow dis-er) highly reccommends those! Her and her hubby Mark love them.
Come on guys- lets get talking out here!! :cheer2:

Favorite thing to do is get a latte from the Cove Cafe and either sit inside or go outside to sit around the pool.
We only do Palo's for lunch because we REALLY love the evening dining. :worship: On the Dream we may do Remy's but it will only be for lunch.
We love the Rainforest but the massages (particularly the couples one) are more than we are willing to spend. :confused3
My plan for this cruise is to wander the ship a lot because it is so new and we have only been on the Magic (9 times) for prior cruises. I love to take photos so that will be my personal mission. :woohoo:

I'm with you on this trip- I'm only interested in doing Palo's for lunch this time around I want to make sure to check out all of the evening dining.
So you are a photo buff too? Photo is my passion- I love it. And I will have a new camera in time for this vacation too!! I don't know what I'm more excited about- the camera, or the trip!! Well, probably the trip, but the camera will be the icing on the cake!
I haven't priced the massages yet, but I hop we will do one! they sound great!
with all of your cruises- have you evern been to Nassau? We did Castaway Cay twice on the member cruise, so there were no other ports. Wondering about don't miss things there.... :rolleyes1

Never been to Nassau so we are looking forward to this trip. :thumbsup2 We have been to Castaway Cay 10 times because of a "Twice the Magic" cruise a few years ago. Of the 9 cruises on DCL 7 have been Eastern Caribbean, 1 Western and a two week transatlantic.

Hey everyone, DH and I have been to Nassau 2 times and have no desire to get off the ship this time. I can not wait til the first sail and am gonna soak in all the info I can get off the boards. I know someone asked what a Passporter DCL is, it is a book that a couple ( who have been on to many DC for me to keep up with) writes every year and give you all the updated info on the cruises. I bought one before our very first cruise and read it twice before we sailed (and highlighted tips). All the info is limited on the Dream and its killing me (I know I am not alone).
As I posted earlier this is DH and I anniversary cruise and my very best friend and his girlfriend are coming (DC newbies) I have tried to get him on the boards but it is difficult he is in Afgahnistan. We were in a Cat 9 room until he booked and surprised us with a Verahnda upgrade.
Have never done th FE thing but have been researching it, I would like to participate it sounds like fun.

I will keep it going, my DBFF upgraded us to verahndas which I am stressed out about because I am afraid I won't get to enjoy the room. I want to have plenty of time of explore the ship and feel 4 days is not enough. I really wanted a Cat 10 for the virtual porthole but the Cat 9 was the same price when I booked. I will be soaking up all the info I can after January 26th!
I also am dying to book a cruise soon, we have not cruised since 2007! We have been to DW plenty of times every year but I need a cruise:rotfl:

I wonder if the talking paintings & scavenger hunts they have mentioned will be like what goes on in those "KimPossible" adventure thingies @ EPCOT. Not that I've ever done one, but I've heard they're pretty fun. :confused3

It's such a fun, low-key race! I'm really getting excited for this cruise. My step-son will be celebrating his 16th birthday while on-board. I hope they (my son is 15, too) won't be "bored" because they're "older". They were fine last year, but there's a big difference between a 13 y/0 & a 16 y/o :scared1: :rotfl2:

Hello out there! I'm sooooo excited about this cruise. :cool1:
I keep adding days on at WDW because I really would have liked this to be a seven day option as well, so I'm trying to get in my fix while I am there.
Thinking about booking another trip closer to the end of 2011 that will include our three kids.... my boys (then 3 and 5) would LOVE to visit Andy's room! They are Toy Story obsessed!! (Yes, we saw the movie this weekend- very cute!)
Hope any Dad's out there had a great weekend!!

Help! I'm already stressing about what to wear on our cruise. I'm thinking Feb isn't going to be hot, but should be warm (like in the 70's) right? All of the summer stuff is on clearance now, so I want to buy what I can now because once Jan/Feb rolls around the only thing available in our stores is winter coats & boots, not swimming suits & flip flops. So my question is, what is typical cruise attire? And what about the temperature in the restaurants on board? Am I going to be freezing if I wear a sun dress to dinner? Thanks for your help. Not sure why I'm worrying about this already.....

I find temperature to be relative .... my DW is always cold and I like it cooler than most. :confused3 If you are like my DW then plan on at least a light sweater.
The weather can be cool or it can be warm .... welcome to this latitude! I plan on wearing a suit for most of the evening meals (same jacket, two pants and a different shirt/tie). I do not plan on taking a lot of clothes for such a short trip so most everything else will be casual. :laundy:

My parents surprised me with a vacation one year for Christmas. I will never forget opening my gifts that year. My stocking was filled with sunglasses, and sunscreen... my "big" present was a suitcase filled with summer goodies (very odd for christmas in chicago)... and after I thought they had completely lost it, they explained that I was going to Florida! ha! I've been thinking about this too. In fact, I just got a new bathing suit. I figure some capris will be good. I was in Florida this last February and it was 50 degrees in Tampa!! We were frozen!! Hopefully, it will be back to "normal"- whatever that is!! 70's work for me!! I live near Chicago- so anything above 0 works for me in the winter!!! :dance3:

You can't really judge Florida winters by the one we just had. They tell us that it was the coldest in about 70 years. Usually it is quite nice in February. :cool2:

When my parents went on the Oasis in January out of Ft Lauderdale, it was 45 degrees when they were waiting to get on the ship. My Mom called me from the port and said "I didn't realize I was going to Alaska!" :scared1:

I have been reading the posts but hadn't joined until recently. We will be on this cruise with friends and their family. No kids along for us so will have to enjoy our friends grandkids. Looking forward to our first Disney Cruise and and a week at Disney World afterward. Started a thread over on Cruise Critic but not many joiners there. Donna has been added as a friend on Facebook so I think we have all the bases covered for now.

Hello Disers!!
I'm getting soooo excited about this trip... and I think my hubby is feeling bad that we are not taking the kids on this one with us (it's our anniversary treat) that he wants to do a road trip to disney in December 2010!! And of course, I said that if we planned a December road trip, that we must also plan for a Not so Scary trip in October 2011 (my FAVORITE thing to do in disney) so that we could properly get some use out of our annual passes!!
I've got disney on the mind today!! Woohoo!!!

Considering another cruise for the end of the year 2011 (in addition to this one). I'm considering taking my sister in law, along with my family (5). So there would be six of us. Maybe seven if I was able to talk my mother into it too.... What would the most cost effective rooming options be? Two rooms? The two bedroom suite?
My baby will be 3.5 at that point next year, so he no longer qualifies as a baby.... what have you done before?

I would think that two inside cabins would still be cheaper than the suite but do not know for sure. :confused3

2 closets...er, inside staterooms (it's all we've ever had! ;) ), are DEFINITELY cheaper than a suite!

but most closets do not have virtual port holes! ;)
Ahhh... virtual portholes! Good thinking! My sister in law is deaf, and while that isn't a problem for us, if my kids (especially my boys) are running around, I certainly would not feel comfortable with them running between rooms with verandahs. If she wasn't looking at them, she wouldn't know if they needed help or were in trouble etc. Inside staterooms it is.

Since they opened the Cove Cafe a couple of years ago my DW and I have begun to visit there often to just sit and sip a latte. It's even better with friends.
One thing that I do everyday is get up early and go up to Deck 9 for coffee. While there I watch the sun rise. It is the most peaceful and beautiful experience that you can imagine. :goodvibes

Hi Everyone – This is my 1st DIS post or any post for that matter
DH, DD(12), DS(10) and I will be on the Disney Dream Feb 13th. I agree with a lot of the post that the crusie should be longer. So, we booked our 1st Back to Back Disney Cruise. We are also going on the Feb 17th as well.
Question:
I was told we didn’t have to disembark. Also since we have the same stateroom for both cruises we can leave our things in the cabin. Dose anyone know where on the ship we go during the disembark?

Hello. DW and I are also doing the 2/13 and 2/17 cruises B2B! There are several threads on the subject of B2B cruising and how it works. One is at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2537191&highlight=b2b . It seems that you do have to reboard even if you are not changing rooms (and we aren't either). However, we can leave all of our things in the rooms. --Dave & Jackie

Hey Acutarian & Disney1430 (Welcome to the Disboards!) - we're doing the B2B, too!! We, like you guys, have the same room & were told that you disembark & stay in the terminal, then they let you in before anyone else...or w/ the VIPs ;). Is this what you guys were told as well? I'll check out the links, Acu, thanks.

The last time we did a "back-to-back" on the Magic we could stay on Deck 9 or 10 but I have heard from several people since that you do have to get off and re-embark later.
Yes, Brack, you're right, it has changed. You definitely have to disembark now.

Hey Brack! Guess What? We have tentatively booked this cruise too! We will decide in the next few days whether it is a go or not. We were going to do the kids sail free on the Magic in January, but we can save some $$$ and sail on the new ship with an inside stateroom (maybe we will get an upgrade) so we opted to book this. We also wanted to get CC platinum status before the Alaska cruise, and we were one away.
One of the things that we have loved has been to get a photograph of the DISBoard group.

For first time DLC cruisers is booking excursions/dining 75 days out? I have the worst TA in the world, we are using Marriott points so I have to use their designated travel agency and the person I spoke to said "it is either 75 or 90 days." That kind of answer really ticks me off! I basically already fired the agent they assigned me (not once did she return several phone calls for 2 full weeks) and now I am working with her boss. Her boss gave me a song and dance how knowledgeable the customer service reps are and they can answer any questions... um, no they can't - LOL!

Hey Brack. What kind of dog do you have? What's his/her name?
He was listed as a Poodle but we think he has some other type mixed in; although he looks about 95% poodle. He weighs about 13 pounds.
We named him "Fin" when we first saw him because he has a mohawk :rolleyes1 We thought of fin like ... "fins to the left, fins to the right" from Jimmy Buffet. I felt like he needed a "real" name so I said Phineas. Our adopted grandaughter loves Phineas & Ferb on the Disney Channel so that seemed to fit.

What is there to do? What is not to miss? See, do, etc.... I'd like to get some excursion ideas.... :cheer2:

We received our dining & show time in the mail last week. We have early dining, but then don't go to the show until 9 pm! What do we do with all of that time in between? I'm afraid if we go back to the room, my kids will crash & fall asleep before the show & I really want them to see the show! I know we have the option of the 5:00 show, but that seems so early to head back to the room & get ready every day.

When I was on my first Disney cruise- the normal routine flew right out the window with my kids eating and sleeping patterns. I'm not sure how old your kids are, but if they need naps still, you could always make them before dinner... then they are rested for dinner service and the show, and still have a full day for activities. I had taken my then 2 1/2 year old to the Toy Story show, and he fell asleep in it! I can't remember what time of day we went- I think it was somewhat early!
:cool1:I just booked the Keys to the Kingdom tour- has anyone been on it before? Are you allowed to bring a camera?
I also booked the pirates and pals fireworks cruise for my December trip with my little guy....
I'm in full blown Mickey mania!! :mickeyjum

We also received ours for our party of 12. 5:00 show and 6:00 dining. The parents of the kids in our party said it wasn't going to happen so we had ours changed to the 7:00 show and 8:30 dining. I would think that the kids would be dead beat by the time dinner rolls around but that's what the families wanted. My wife and I really didn't care either way.

Fish Exchange / Extender List
With only 113 days till sailing, I thought I'd volunteer to start a fish exchange / extender (FE) list for our cruise! (I am new at this, so please accept my apology should I make any mistakes.)
How about if we keep it simple? It'll be up to you to decide if you want to do FE's one per family, one per person, or just kids. Since our cruise is four days, how about if we do not do a schedule of when to deliver. We'll try to get a final list sometime before the cruise (date tbd, ~ 2 or 3 weeks before sail).
Please PM me with you disboard name, members of your party, name and ages, and cabin number. I will add you to this list. Also include if you would like to do one per person, family, or just kids. If the list gets very large, I can divide it into groups. To be discreet and respect everyone's privacy, I will only show your disboard name and cabin number here. I will save the other info and distribute closer to sail date.
Hmm. I think that's it for now. Let me know if you have questions or if you think I've missed something here. Thanks!

:cheer2:Hi there- I'm responding to this, and whoever is going to be in charge of the final list can use it-
Ryan (33) and Carrie Hill (32), just the two of us :woohoo:, Cabin #12508. I'm not sure if I will do one per cabin or per person etc... I have to come up with my idea first, and will let you know then.

I'm really baffled about this board being so untalkative..... Are you out there? It's almost time for our cruise!!! I leave in nine weeks and I know my Hubby and I are super excited.... Is there anyone out there? Or are you all hiding as lurkers only? :) :confused3

This cruise should be really exciting because the Dream will only be about three weeks old when we sail her. :woohoo:
Our Facebook page has also been really slow. There I have been posting videos of the progress of the ship and that has been what I have been getting excited over.

Any thoughts here on how they're going to manage AquaDuck?? The lines will be heinous.
I think they might give tickets to each room, each day, for a certain time frame (different times each day). Then have some hours where it's "free time" aka "wait in line forever". How will they manage the lines? Will it be open at night? I hope so. I wanna ride this bad boy. I'm thinking, though, that they'll have limited hours to keep the crowds down in the area.
Thoughts??

Hi everyone. I did not have the time to go through your thread, so I will just post the question here. I am looking for a DISer her name is Lori and had a DD who is sailing near this time. She PMed me about doing a Pillowcase for your DD. I deleted the wrong PM with the information. If this is your thread; rePM me. If not, I am sorry. I just know she is cruising sometime during this week and I just do not know what sailing or what ship. Thanks for letting me post on your thread. For those who know me well, hello....
ha! I was part of the DVC member cruise in 2009, and our board is STILL being used to chat!! :rotfl: So 11 pages is just crazy over here!!
I was SOOO excited about those pictures. Has anyone seen the video? It is quite awesome when they do the float out... and all of the goodies in the pictures!! I can't wait!
I finally got it all paid for, and I can book excursions.... I have a brunch at Palo and am trying to decide what to do when in Nassau... I'm thinking of checking out Atlantis, for sure! :dance3: what is the average temp in February? anyone know?

Does anybody have any ideas/recommendations for our day in Nassau? We have a 4 yr old & 8 yr old & had looked into Atlantis, but our youngest isn't tall enough to ride the water slides so that won't work. We were also talking about the Blue Lagoon dolphin encounter? I know a lot of people will tell me to stay on the ship, but my husband & I actually went to Nassau on our honeymoon years ago & are kind of excited to visit again.

Just got back from a week at WDW -nothing like being in Orlando with record low temps, so as soon as Christmas is over I will be in full cruise planning mode! :santa: First thing is either make or order a Fish Extender.
Funny story- my DD did not want to go on Pirates on our last day (weds), I finally convinced her to go. When we got off the ride her stroller had a Pirates Adventure Set it in (sword, parrot, telescope, flag and eye patch) and a red and white pirate scarf hat with Mickey ears... her first Magical Moment! :wizard: She is so psyched to have new pirate accessories to bring on the cruise!
I am also stocking up on cruise stuff- picked up some glow sticks that look like pirate swords. I also had a great find for DD a few weeks ago. I was in Old Navy and they had 50% off all clearance... I got her a dress for the cruise, very glittery and it was less than 6 bucks! It is still $30 on the website! It is actually very formal and glittery for Old Navy.

Thanks for the early birthday wishes. I spent the whole day being lazy, reading about the Dream, catching up on the reading on this thread and trying to figure out where to get my FE from. Sounds like fun. I also can't wait to ride the Aquaduck!

There are instructions in a thread on how to make your own FE if you are crafty otherwise try eBay or etsy. You better get caught up on your thread reading because all the trip reports will soon be coming out from the maiden voyage :cool1: and we are all gonna have to try and keep up:surfweb::cloud9:popcorn:::woohoo:

Quick update:
Although I haven't been posting much, I'm getting very excited about this cruise and meeting you all on board.
We also managed to convince my eldest daughter (DD19) to also join us on this cruise so we'll have the entire family together which makes it even more special for us.

I have the same issue with my oldest ( talk him into cruising) I always joke that I wish my parents made me go on Disney cruises:rotfl2:

I am not sure if I have checked in with this post but we are in! We surprised our children for Christmas with this cruise. Our middle son has been begging to go to WDW for years. He dreams about it. The last time we all went he was 2. He says that doesn't count. So my DH and I thought if we are flying all the way to Florida we might as well get on the new boat!
I can hardly stand the wait! There are 5 of us, me, DH, DS 17, DS 10, and Princess 4. We have sailed before but are excited to see the new boat.
I have not planned anything yet! UGH! I have been waiting so the kids can pick what they want to do. I am excited to see what they have done at Castaway Cay. It has been since 2004 since we have been there.
Did I say I AM SOOOO EXCITED?!

There is someone organizing a FE list, when I get time I will go back to see who it was. The Dream is in Nassau today and overnight I believe. She will arrive at PC Tuesday morning around 0630.:surfweb:popcorn::

We just booked this cruise on Thursday! We are so excited! We will be cruising then doing Disney over President's day weekend. I am traveling with my dh and dd. I have most of my trip planned. My only disappointment is that I can not get a Remy reservation and the Atlantis excursion I wanted was sold out. It will be a great trip regardless. I can not wait to see the new ship!
When do you think formal night will be? I was thinking it would be the last but now I think it may be Valentine's day.

Thanks.
I'm still in denial over this.
Darn Brack! We will miss seeing you, but I certainly understand. Guess we will have to wait until Alaska to see you and Annette again.
I have been MIA - working too much and the Holidays were busy. Hope to spend more time here as we get closer to cruise date.
Does anyone else here have a 10-11 yr old daughter? Sophia (My DD) will be turning 11 on disembarkation day 2-17.
hi everyone! Glad to see some chit chatting going on out here- finally! :cool1:
We leave six weeks from tomorrow for the start of our trip- DH and I are going to BLT prior to the cruise.... I'm soooo excited!!
I've got a confession... I've been stalking the Dream! :worship: Have you? Loving the pictures that I have seen of it! they are great and I can't wait to get on there and explore it for myself!!
Stalking it so much in fact, that my DH and I are already planning a second cruise in 2012 so that we can bring our kids along. (Just us for this one).
We have a trip to Atlantis, brunch at Palo's (I won't eat anything on the menu at Remy's, but sonder if they will let me in to see it anyway), and I even managed to talk DH into a couples massage. Unfortunately, it won't be on Serenity Bay, but anywhere I'm getting massaged works for me!!
Ahhh.... soon!! :woohoo:
Disney Dream to arrive at Port Canaveral early Tuesday

The Disney Dream, the newest member of the Disney Cruise Line fleet, will make its first appearance at its home base of Port Canaveral early Tuesday morning. The 130,000-ton ship is expected to enter the channel at 6:30 a.m. and be visible from Brevard County's Jetty Park.
Arrival at the Disney Cruise Line terminal — and the accompanying fanfare moment — is expected at 7:25 a.m. but there won't be any public viewing at the terminal. The Sentinel will have some access to the ship and will provide pictures and video on OrlandoSentinel.com. Reporters will be at the scene and live Tweeting. (Follow them at http://www.twitter.com/themeparks and http://www.twitter.com/jason_garcia)
The Dream is Disney's third ocean liner, and it will have a capacity of 4,000 passengers beginning with its maiden voyage on Jan. 26. Aside from the usual Disney-oriented amenities, the Dream will feature an onboard water ride (the "AquaDuck") that will travel over the edge of the ship and "virtual portholes" in interior cabins that will have a live feed of the ocean as well as occasional animated characters popping up.
Disney's fourth ship, to be called the Disney Fantasy, will debut in spring 2012. The combined price tag for the two new ships: More than $1.8 billion.

I just looked on DCL website because I keep going back and forth on doing a B2B and there are a huge amount of Cat 5 and up cabins available:scared1: on our 2-13 cruise, I wonder if there will be any:wizard: magical upgrades going on. I know they expect people to upgrade at the port but on our last cruise we were upgraded 3 days before our cruise ( our first upgrade experience).:cloud9: I have no desire to pay anymore money:teacher: when I already have a perfectly good cabin:woohoo: I would sleep in a closet as long as I am on the ship:lmao:

I'd love to upgrade (since we have a cat 10)...but I figure we won't be spending too much time in the room anyways and I rather spend the money elsewhere :-)
:yay: We are getting SOOO pumped!! We're staying in a cat 11 closet & would LOVE an upgrade...but happy just to be on board. We're doing a B2B starting on the 10th, so this 4 nighter is the second 1/2 of our 7 days...maybe we'll luck out on one leg of the trip :thumbsup2

We have been lucky enough ONCE to get an upgrade. We are in a cat 11 too. I am keeping my fingers crossed - right now we are in 6001 - doubt we would pay for an upgrade at the port either.
