Any opinions about Splendid China and/or Clarion Suites Resort World ?

I am going to be going to WDW with a friend and my two teenage children (girl and boy) , so I decided to stay off-site in order to get a more suitably sized accomadation that is still affordable. I am curious if anyone has any info about Clarion Suites Resort World in Kissammee. They look awful good on the internet, but I also know the advertising can be a bit deceiving.

I am also curious about Splendid China.... Any opinions??

I think, from memory, the Clarion Suites are one of the newer properties here and do rate pretty decently. However, I would be inclined to compare them, ratewise, with some others in the area, notably Buena Vista Suites, Homewood Suites, Caribe Royale and Holiday Inn Family Suites. Whichever comes up with the best deal, I'd go for that.

Splendid China is a neat little park, very different in style and pace from all the others, but it is VERY hot in summer and there is not much there for young children. It is basically based around a series of miniature replicas of the main sights of China (extremely well done and amazingly detailed), plus a series of acrobatic, dance and martial arts shows. The final show of the day The Mysterious Kingdom of the Orient, is a real highlight.

WE love Splendid China, have been many times..the shows are great, the food is delicious and the replicas are wonderful.

Definately worth a trip!
