My What Big EYES They Have! **PHOTOS of Hungry Baby Birds!!**

When I ventured outside with my DH for our daily nest photo, I was tickled to see that the baby birds have begun to develop an appetite! LOL! I suspect Mom and Dad Birds are being kept quite busy feeding the four of them! Two of them seem to be napping while the other two are more demonstrative about their hunger! ;)

Here's a picture of "'Fro" (or as Dan Murphy likes to call him, "Donny King" ;)) With those giant eyes, he looks like he's wearing sunglasses! The shades and hairstyle make him look like one happenin' bird, don't they? ;)

That first picture is just CRYING "FEED ME!!" :D

A few years ago, my mom also had a bird nest outside her bedroom window. They were robins, I think. Every day she would go and check on "her" birds. One day, they all flew away :( . Mom was so sad. I think she missed those birds more than when my sister and I left home. Talk about "empty nest syndrome":rolleyes: . . .

Love the pics. I have had a next of 4 baby robins and 2 baby doves so far this year. It is so much fun to watch them grow. And like Deb's mom, very sad to see them leave.

One of the baby robins flew from the nest to the deck ledge and sat there for 2 hours before he/she got up enough nerve to really try out those wings. So cute.

In the meantime, though, I'm getting a big kick out of these little ones. I can't wait for them to start chirping up a storm. I'm hoping to get an audio clip when that happens, so I can post it on the DIS! :) I'm glad you enjoy watching them grow as much as I do!
