We are either going in January or the first week of April. I'm not sure how bad the crowd will be the first week of April if Easter is the 24th. Any thoughts?

Woah I had no idea that Easter in 2011 was so late!! It's April 4th in 2010 and April 24th in 2011? Crazy!
That is the date we were going to leave! (4/24/2011) My kids are usually on vacation from school the last week of April....
Easter is usually a crazy time at Disney so this makes me super nervous...:scared1:

We are thinking the week after Easter we will head out there, we are going to do the 4 night Disney cruise and then head over to Disney for 3 to 4 nights...so excited!!!

We, (meaning me) have planned on arriving April 22. So I could wake up on my 40th birthday there! I never even thought about easter being so late in April. :sad2: That might change up our plans. How bad is it there during that time?:confused3

From what I've been told it's VERY bad, crowd wise. A 9 or 10 day (based on touring plans I've seen). But I also think that with a good plan in place it's probably doable, also should have some patience too! We are considering changing our dates too... but not 100% sure yet! Thank goodness we've got time to decide!

We will be at Disney the weekend after Easter! April 29th starts Cheerleading Worlds - so look out, Disney will be swarming with cheerleaders from around the world. I believe they will be staying at the all-star resorts. I just tried to book All-Star Sports and they are completely booked, All-Star Movies just has suites available but I was able to get a standard room at All-Star Music.

We will be there for 10 days beginning April 8th...didn't go at all this year, so we are looking forward to 2011! So happy to be going BEFORE Easter and the Cheerleader week....did that once by mistake - never again! Yikes! :)

Contemporary, MK View, 1 BR suite 14th floor 7 nights

Ok some may say I'm crazy... but gosh darn it I am excited!! Who cares if as of today I still have 472 more days to go? Celebrate with me!!!!

OK I know you see in my signature that I am going to be in the world in March of this year, but that is a short girls trip, what DH and I are planning for April 2011 is an all out dream trip for us and DD and DS. It's just going to take us a while to save up! But I am excited NOW!!! Anyone else? I know your out there! Come be crazy with me!

I am right there with you... where ar eyou guys staying ???? Tentatively booked at SSR but hoping for the waitlist to come through which is like wishing for snow at Sahara Desert!

I am regular April goer for the last couple of decades :sigh: and so far when the April 17-21 falls after Easter it was usually a nice slow pace... but when it falls before Easter Sunday it was usually crowded.... I was really planning to skip this April... but a friend had the nerve to remind me... celebrating bdays will not be the same if I do it somewhere else :headache: so now here I am still on the fence about this trip... but knowing Me... I think I will be there... tentavely 16-21 of April....

So what are we doing??? Planning ??? Lots of Pool time... Water Park time??? all I know is I want breakfast at Kona on the 19th... MK for the day.... and Wishes at night... the rest of the days will be winging it ... :):yay::yay:

Thank you for the info. I am pushing to go on this trip before my DD turns 10. She is petite and to pay extra when she does not eat anymore than before and she is not average height to enjoy some of the bigger rides is too ridiculous. Have a great time and it sounds like you are well experienced with the crowds. Please keep us newbie crowd ppl updated on tip.

I know we are crazy going at this time, but we don't have many other options. We arrive the day before Easter and leave May 2. We know it will be very very crowded, but there are some late hours and we have all our ADRs, so we'll be just fine.

Our very first trip to Disney World!! We are celebrating our daughter's high school graduation a few months early! Going April 1-8, staying at WL bunk bed room and taking a side trip to Harry Potter World. Not doing the dining plan, but sooo excited. We are West Coasters who go to Disneyland. :love:

So I too am visiting with my DH, DD (5) and DD(2). Just wanted some expert advice as I am going with the family for the first time. We'll be there April 17-23 and have the Monday CP booked and Wed BBB and CRT. Otherwise I was going to wing it to see what other days we would go to US or possible MK again.

I plan to be at the parks early on a non magic hour day stay until after lunch so my DD's can catach a nap back in the hotel. Afterwards try to hit the parks again. Do you think the park would be at the max that I wouldn't be allowed entry.

Also being there the first time with kids any suggestions would be appreciated.

We are now going April 3 and April 5 to MK and Epcot. We are going on the dream before hat, and then hitting sea world on April 4th to try something new. This trip is going to be so different

We're staying at AKV - Jambo House with regular dining plan. It's our first time staying on rented points, so it will be a little different, but it did prevent me from changing our reservations a thousand times!

DS18 has autism and we will be celebrating his upcoming high school graduation and a belated 2nd birthday (and 1st trip!) for our preemie princess, who was born weighing only 1 lb 2 oz!

Can't wait to celebrate! Now I just need to get back to my PTR which I started and then never got off the ground...

My son and i are going to WDW on April 19-25..I am so excited because it will be his 3rd trip there but the first time it's just me and him!!! I know it will be really crowded, but I figured with the 2 of us on our own schedule, armed with our ADR's for the week, we should be okay. This is my first time ever staying at the GF and I am sooo exited!!!

Do you think it would make any difference if we went the week of april 2-9 or april 9-16, 2011? Not sure when it becomes busy for Easter. We were originally scheduled to go April 9-16, but thinking it may be better a little earlier.

We've gone 2 yrs in a row in April due to spring break. Pretty crowded both times but more so last year since Easter fell on spring break :eek: We're headed down again this April 2-9, since that's my DD's spring break week. So I'm sure it will be busy but we don't mind :banana::banana::banana:

Hey ClemsonDisneyFan...we are Clemson Disney fans, too! Go Tigers! :)

We're headed to WDW April 2-7. It will be our first trip to the Polynesian, as well as DS3's first trip (DS6 is an old pro, it will be his third time). We are so excited!!!

I love hearing from another Tiger fan! :goodvibes I see you have stayed at the Coronado - we have stayed there the last two times. We decided on a split stay this time and are trying the Swan for 3 nights and then the Contemporary. It has been a long time since we stayed at the CR. I'd love to hear how you like the Polynesian. We were going to stay there, but DH wanted to try some of the good restaurants at the S&D. It will be our first stay there too.

We really like Coronado, and I love the food court there! We thought that with the little guy, it would be better to stay on the monorail so we can easily get him home to rest during the day. Have you been to the CR before? We haven't and would love to hear how you like it!

I think the crowds 4/1-4/10 will be average, not horrific. I will be there as well from 4/1-4/9, touring plans seemed to have us at 6-7's.

Just paid the balance on the resort reservation this morning. Last Friday I went to the Disney Store and picked up vouchers for annual passes! It feels good to have everything paid off so we only have to worry paying for meals and souvenirs when we get there!:thumbsup2

Hi. I run one of the original Fridge Swaps at POP. Started in Aug. 2006. My fridge was MIA for awhile but was magically:wizard: found on March 17th. So, I am looking for families who are staying at POP in the next month or so who would like to use my fridge, for free!

Yay for DisneyDaz's fridge swap!

I was just coming to say that the Not So Scary fridge swap (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2287976) also has openings in April. It was in drylock with DisneyDaz's fridge until Accountingbabe09 (who runs our fridge swap) found them a few weeks ago!

So anyone headed to Pop in April come check out the fridge swaps - looks like there will be one for everyone!

In 14 days we will be waking up soon to make the final leg of our journey to WDW. I do not feel ready for 10 days away from home. 10 days of clothes for us. 10 days of non-stop fun and excitement. 10 days of non-home cooked food. Over 10 days away from work and what will I find when I go back....:scared1:

It has hit me this morning that we are leaving soon and I am feeling so overwhelmed :sick: I need some fairy dust to help me get us packed, the car packed, and for us to arrive safe and sound at the happiest place on earth. Oh! DD does not know that we are leaving for WDW in 13 days. She thinks that we leave in 18 days, so keeping this secret might be more than I can handle.

Don't worry! It is all going to work out well! We are going for 11 days too - April 8 to the 18th. It is a long time to be away from home, but once you get there you are going to have so much fun!! How exciting that your DD thinks it is a week later. She will be so surprised. We surprised our kids with a trip a few years back. But, it was so difficult to keep the secret, I have not done it since. :) You're doing great to have kept the secret so far!!

We're leaving on Friday :banana::banana::banana: But I haven't packed a thing for our dd (8) or myself!!!!! We've been out of town or on the go for the past 5 weekends with cheerleading competitions :cheer2:, not to mention the other 2-3 days a week for practice!!! OMG I hope I can get it together by Friday. I have to work tomorrow, cheer/tumble tomorrow night and then sometime tomorrow night I will pack and pray :worship: that I don't forget something! I'm usually packed and ready a couple of weeks in advance that way I know I can check and double check everything. Oh well I am super excited and ready to leave, so if I do forget something no biggie I can get everything I need there :yay: :woohoo: :banana: :cool1: :thumbsup2

Me DW and DDs will be at Wdw staying at CBR in 8 days. Very excited, the girls have no clue we are going. We usually drive the hour or so to Disneyland. I'm leaving work early on Friday to pick up the girls from school tell them we are going and head to the airport. I'm dreading the time difference a little as our flight arrives at 5am which will be 2am for us

Just got back from our April 14-22nd trip!! It was wonderful!!! The crowds did not bother us, we were at park opening every day and got in all the biggies before lunch:banana: left in the afternoon when it seemed more crowded. Weather was perfect, and we loved staying at POP again. It had been 2 years since we were there (akl was our spot the previous 2 years) NOW planning for next April 2012:lovestruc Any other questions:confused3
