12 months, 5 vacations

This is truly the beauty of DVC. My husband and I
will be taking 5 DVC vacations in a 12 month
period. We spent 6 nights at OKW in Janyary of
2001. We are going to DCA the first week of April
using points. Then, we have a 6 days at Vero April 29 to May 4. We are taking the 7 day cruise
in November and will be at OKW again for 6 days
in January 2002. All these will be in one bedrooms. We have 400 points and banked 163 from
last year for all this fun. I just love DVC.

I am glad you have seen how the use of one weekend night extends your points. We have now started staying 10 nights but only one weekend which also extends points. I finally started thinking outside the box of 1 week intervals!

Sounds delightful! I thought we were doing well with 3 trips planned for this year. Now I will have to be jealous of your extra three trips!

Thanks to dvc and AP's we have 4 trips planned this year!!! All to WDW! January: 5 nights at the GF, April/May: 14 nights 1 night at AKL, 10 nights at BWV, and 3 nights at the Poly, July: 4 nights at the YC (for my b-day!!), and then September: 7 nights at OKW (or we may switch to BWV or VWL) we have most of it thru dvc, and the rest we pay $$$ for w/great AP rates!!!

One of the great things about DVC is the flexibility it offers. I prefer to use my points all at once--staying at WDW for a month at a time. I switch accommodations (studio to 1 bedroom) toward the end of my vacation for a real treat. I look forward to spending January in Florida! I feel like I have a seasonal home! :)

You sure know how to budget those points!

We have been lucky enough to get in two vacations a year - we could probably do more, but we can't quite manage to convince our bosses for more time off. Still, two vacations a year at WDW is a luxury that we still can't believe!

Now, if you could only help us with our retirement planning..... ;)
