We have to do the same thing! I think we are going to stick the smaller one with the bigger one so mommy and daddy can go play with their friends and come "home" tipsy. :rolleyes1 You'll be reading about us in the "bad parents" book. But I'm totally okay with that.

Hee! First thing I thought was hey - no fair having a party on my birthday when I can't play. But then I saw it was your birthday, too. So you'll have to have at least one drink on my behalf.

Do I have to drink the champagne with my pinkie out?

I think the slushie drinks require the pinkie extension. Champagne, it's optional. :rotfl2:

But, always remember:

Pretzels in America = Dead Sea amount of salt
Pretzels in Germany = Perfect light amount of salt

I'm glad you're going, as I might need to share my pretzel with you again.

Shelly has a good point, maybe start in the middle this time?:lmao: If it's cold that night, Mexico is a great way to warm up. Brandie and I stopped there before the DATW and did 3 shots. We were toasty and warm for a few countries.

Anna, in order to receive "phone action" you have to be within 10 feet of Alicia, but she still considered you to have abandoned her. It's complicated, I know! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Bumping.

Now that the ABD trip is over some folks will proably spend more time on PCC 2.0 stuff. This thread should be moved to the PCC 2.0 board. DATW is a good time so if you're interested in attending, please do so. :thumbsup2

Hi Paul:

Just to give us DATW rookies an idea. On the previous couple events what time did they start. I'm assuming they go until Epcot closes or you are passed out under some tree.

Last year we started at 5:30 in Canada and finished up around 11:00 or so. Everything after 10:30 is a bit fuzzy. :rolleyes1

The official start was in Canada. Some of us....:rolleyes1 started in Mexico with a tequila flight (3 shots). By the time we walked to Canada, the jackets were off and we were nice and toasty (not toasted) warm.

And some of us made a pre-start stop in France.

Just wanted you guys to know that, in honor of our friends, Kathy, Phillip, and I had our own "drink around the Grand Californian bar" last week. It was a sacrifice, but we did it.

Had I known you were doing that, I would have suggested you ask the bartenders at the Hearthstone Lounge if they still knew how to make a chocolate cake martini. It's not on the homogenized drink menu.

DATW for five and a half hours?!

Did you just order drinks, drink, take photo, walk about and repeat?
Or did you spend any time exloring the pavillions, shopping, riding attractions?

Drink tequilia while riding the little boats?
Sit in France's opera house like theater sipping wine?

Yep. That's how long it takes for this many people to order drinks (long lines), drink said drinks, chat while waiting for others to get their drinks, walk from one country to the next, make potty stops, make snack stops, etc. It's a wonderful way to kill an evening! :goodvibes Some of my absolute favorite memories from PCC 1.0 and DAP 2009 are from DATW.

Let me get this straight. Unofficially people are meeting in France for a slushie at 4:45. Officially everyone is gathering in Mexico at 5:30. Then we start our trip around the world. Is this what the consensus is? pirate:

Start in Mexico this time?

You know what this means.

We'll never leave Mexico.

Step 1. pre-DATW in France.
Step 2. Another pre-DATW in Mexico
Step 3. The official start of the 2010 PCC 2.0 DATW will begin in Canada at 5:30.
Plan your evening around these times and we should all be falling down midnight! :thumbsup2

The lightsaber will be in France at 4ish for a slushie and then stroll to Mexico for a Margarita with yummy blood orange foam (some might like a tequilla flight also - not sure it is wise for me as lightsaber leader to be too drunk before I start leading that large of a group) :rolleyes1 then head to UK/Canada for an official start of the event. :thumbsup2

(Unless they add the beer cart back to Canada there isn't really any reason to start a DATW in Canada there since there is no drink) :confused3

John (3guys) was pretty ticked off that Canada let him down last year. If there is no beer cart then we'll just start in the UK. It's one country closer to the slushie machine anyway so no big deal. :goodvibes

It's only Moosehead. No big woop. :duck:

The beer cart was at Canada in March, just in a different location. I'll reconnoiter again in about 10 days.
