I'm going to be going down toward the end of Sept. to WDW from Atlanta. My cousin gave me a couple of buddy passes for Delta. How much trouble am I likely to have using the buddy passes to travel instead of just travelling on a purchased ticket? Are flights too scarce or can I likely pick and choose? I know I can't leave before 5p on my departure date, and I don't want to have to return before 2p on my return date.

I used Delta buddy passes a few years ago to fly between Orlando and Long Island. I flew during the middle of the week because of better seat availability. I knew that there were 3 flights out of Orlando to MacArthur Airport so I took a crack at the first flight of the day and got on without a problem. On the return flight I got on an afternoon flight without a problem.

The buddy passes are not totally free. I think I paid around $60-$80 to fly round trip between Orlando and Long Island. The price you pay is based on the mileage I believe and something about the Y fares.
Delta is not the only airline that offers buddy passes to their employees.
