Hi

Has anyone been at Easter time?

Is there anything they do at Easter time that's specifically for Easter that we need to look out for? Do they do an Easter theme parade or anything special?

I suppose I should be able to buy a disney style chocolate easter egg over there rather than having to pack one in the suitcase for DD?

Also is it likely to be very busy over Easter time or just at the weekend?

many thanks in advance for any help

I have been several times at Easter and the first year there were Easter decorations and special shows including one where they gave chocolate eggs to some children. However since the start of the 15th Birthday celebrations there hasnt been anything special at Easter.

The shops sell lots of different chocolate - including buckets of eggs etc. The supermarket at Val d'Europe will have a much better selection and much cheaper - chocolate rabbits, chickens etc are very popular in France.

It has always been quite busy but the weekend obviously is the worst - it will be worth checking holidays on the FAQ thread though as some areas have a spring break rather than the 2 weeks actually over Easter so this often makes it quieter

Thanks for your reply.

That's a shame that they don't seem to do anything special for Easter anymore.

I'll check out the supermarket at Val d'Europe for Easter Eggs :thumbsup2

Oh well at least we have some fastpasses so be able to do Peter Pan ride & Buzz one if the queues really bad. But think most of the other fast pass rides will won't be able to do as DD will be 4 so think she may be too small height wise for lots of rides.

We went in 2009 and left home at 2am and arrived in the Disney Car Park at 7.30am on Good Friday. It was extremely busy and we thought that Easter Monday was busier than Christmas (Boxing Day).

The French celebrate Easter on the Monday rather than the Sunday.

Also when we returned the Eurotunnel terminal was absolutely heaving and we had to queue for about an hour to get through passport control.

It's possible that we will do the same this year.
