Alright, here goes!

Ken Weaver: Great planner! He was always prompt in responses during planning and made everything run so smoothly. I'm a bit of a control freak, but I somehow felt comfortable leaving it to him!

Laura Kidd: The floral was gorgeous. I'm not a flower person (allergies), so she came up with some unusual ideas for us. I had the exact image of my bouquet in my head, but couldn't find a picture of it. It turned out perfectly (even if it did weigh a ton!).

Disney Weddings group: I can't say enough about everyone! The organization astounded me. The grooms family was a bit late; they radioed me to let me know they arrived, had a wheel chair ready for his father, and even escorted them to SBP. There was always someone around to connect me to the whole event.

Root photography: I'd have another wedding again just to work with them! The day before the wedding we found out that Jensey couldn't be there (crutches and cameras don't mix), but Nathan had already found another photographer to come with him. They made everyone feel so comfortable and really made the process fun! The bridal party took to calling them "snipers" since they always seemed to be there to capture the best moments!

Kevin Knox: We threw in a lot of last minute additions to the ceremony, but he adapted them all very well!

Patricia LeJeune: The only thing I regret is not having her do the bridesmaids hair as well! She was so quick and relaxed (just the thing to start out the day!). I have such pale skin I never wear foundation, but the airbrush matched perfectly and was barely there. It's not hard for certain makeup colors to make me look sick or un-natural, but as Patricia said; I looked like a china doll!

Carolyn Allens: I asked for a pretty mixed-up assortment of pieces, but everything was there! They had to hem up one pair of trousers and got them to us early the next morning after the fitting. Somehow, the groomsmen didn't know they were in our room and it prompted them to ask if it would be a "pants optional" wedding for all three of them! They managed to satisfy four tailors in our wedding party, so I'd say they did well!

Kathryn Flocken: Best favors ever! I had never seen silhouettes cut so quickly and perfectly, and obviously neither had anyone else! She had a small mob around her all night just to watch the process. Everyone got one to take home and we got a book with another set that everyone signed. We brought vintage hats for the guests to use, and she even managed to put netting into the cuttings!

Bella Umbrella: We rented vintage umbrellas for our pictures on the Boardwalk and wow, were they gorgeous. Even with the holidays they got there on time and were really easy to return.

Perriwigs: I think this was the only problem of the day. The bridesmaids took twice as long to get their hair done up as I did and were scrambling to get back up to the room. They had major issues with one of them, but in the end they did end up beautiful. I just wish it had been less stressful!

Jazz trio: I can honestly say I didn't get to spend nearly as much time listening to them as I wanted, but what I heard was perfect. We completely forgot to get a list of songs to them until the week before, but they still got them all in!

Disney Bakery: OMG cake!! It was the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen! I asked for some unusual things with this and even ended up sending them a design. It was more beautiful than I could have imagined and delicious! I can't wait to put up pictures of it.

Disney Chefs: Again, we asked for some weird things. But, as always, they turned out great. The only complaint I heard was for more room on their plates!

Well, Evan is now deployed and all my pictures should be in the mail any day, so I suppose I should get started!

Sunday 12/27
Pretty much everyone headed down on Sunday. I was actually the only one to fly out of Virginia. Evan drove down with Nic (one of the groomsmen), who flew out to us from Indiana since that way was cheaper somehow. The other three of the bridal party drove down together. Both cars left within half-an-hour of each other, but Evan & Nic got there about two hours earlier since they missed some bad traffic & accidents. I got there the same time (literally two minutes later) that they did, taking the Disney bus transport from the airport (soooo easy). After unpacking the massive amount of wedding supplies and luggage from their car, I made the rounds of calls to the vendors to check in and give out our room number.
Once everyone got there (around 8 pm) we headed over to Downtown Disney. Now, I go to Disney almost every year. Evan went less than two years ago with me. Everyone else in the bridal party had either never been or had only been once/twice way back when. So, everything I dragged them through was really new (and I do mean dragged, they all kept stopping to gawk!).
We went to dinner at Raglan Road. Our waitress was wonderful and really made the night. We're a pretty rowdy group, so I'm glad we got someone with a sense of humor! She was even helping us poke fun at Evan for ordering such a girly drink when everyone else had beer, threatening to bring an umbrella with the next one he ordered (he does it on purpose). I do enjoy their food a lot, even if it does seem a little over priced. However, we all shared and split up meals, which really helped.
Back at the hotel, the girls were staying in the Beach Club villas where we had a two bedroom to fit the three of us and my mother. The guys were in the regular BC, since we weren't planning on everyone coming down that day and had to get a room last minute. I love the Beach Club and stay there a lot, so there were no surprises there. Evan even bought a candle recently because "it smells like the Beach Club does; happy". Although we had never been there during the holidays. That chocolate carousel is amazing! We've just found that hotel to be a great location, the villas the best room style for us, and it usually has pretty quick bus turnaround (except for one time I'll get to later).
Things didn't really get started until the next day; cramming Magic Kingdom and O'hana's into one very busy day!

Monday 12/28
Our Monday started with a suit fitting for the two groomsmen (I had made Evan's suit knowing nothing in their stock would ever fit him). Once the guys showed up "fashionable late" to the fitting, Evan and I ran over to Franc's to drop off some last minute items.
We had asked about getting tickets at our hotel, but they said for any discounts we would have to do it at the gate. So, Evan and I got our free annual passes when we got back to MK and waited on the others to arrive. Now, I knew that there was some sort of wedding discount, but not much else. And the hotel had told me the parks could do that. We also had AAA , military, and DVC. I thought that somewhere in that arsenal we'd get a discount. Nope. Wedding had to be done through Franc's (we were just there!), military was only good every day but the holidays, and AAA & DVC were only annual passes or something of the sort. Of course, it took the guy at the counter forever to explain/understand all of this. But eventually we made it in and I managed to pull our bridal party through Magic Kingdom. I think we hit every ride we wanted to except Space Mountain. The crowd was really bad that day, and by the time we got around to that side the Fast Pass was 11 pm. We got them, just in case, but we were way too tired to come back that late. On top of that, our entire wedding week was not more than 55 for a high, and we were all freezing at night! I kept making/receiving wedding phone calls all day. Most were from the Roots: apparently Jensey had an issue with her leg and was on crutches! So, Nathan managed to find another photographer to work with him. I was disappointed, but I think Jensey was more so! (It all turned out wonderfully in the end, of course!). We were also trying to set up an engagement shoot since this was the only time Evan had been down there to do it! It ended up being a honeymoon shoot really.
I think the park cleared out after the 3 o'clock parade. Evan and I left at that point to go back to the room to change for dinner. Transportation was running extremely slow for some reason, so it was actually fortunate that my mother mixed up our O'hana's reservations and thought it was an hour earlier than planned. We all barely made there on time!
The rest of the bridal party stayed in the park for a bit longer, then took the monorail over to the Poly. My mother and the rest of my family left from the Beach Club and took almost an hour to get there. Evan and I took even longer since we seemed to have the cursed bus trip.
We were waiting outside at the bus stop in the freezing cold (I had made a hawaiian '50s style dress thinking it would be warmer) for about 20 minutes. Two buses for MK finally pulled up at the same time. One was unloading a wheelchair and a lot of people, so we grabbed what we hoped would be the quicker of the two. Well, last minute we had to load a scooter (no big deal, just adding on to time). We no more than got up to the stop sign after taking off, then the bus begins to beep/screech at us. Apparently there's a problem with tire pressure or something. We sit on the bus for ten minutes until he backs up and lets us off at the bus stop again. I'm not sure if the beeping or the cold was less pleasant. They call another bus, we go through the loading process again and finally take off more than forty minutes after we got the bus stop. We did make it on time to dinner, by about two minutes. Of course, the whole thing was terribly frustrating. Things like that never happen when were just going to a park- only when there's a reservation!
Moving past that, dinner was wonderful. Everyone loved the food and my BMs and I got to get up and learn the hula. The ukulele guy even played us a special song! We had things timed to see the MK fireworks as well. The only problem was that our waitress forgot the bread until we prompted her half-way through the meal. And my family has a not so small bread obsession, so we really wanted it!
We all changed back into warmer clothes at the Poly before heading back to our hotel (we had brought them just in case we went back into MK). It was late and cold, so we just hung out in the rooms instead. I kinda wish it had been warmer, since I wanted to go see the holiday Wishes show, but I really couldn't disagree with them about it too much!

I hate when there's bus issues. I remember standing outside Typhoon Lagoon waiting on a Beach Club Bus for over an hour and we had gone to the transportation booth 4 times to let them know what was going on.

Tuesday 12/29

We started out the morning by walking down to SBP and doing a "run-through" of the ceremony with the bridal party. A pair of pants from the rental suit which were hemmed were waiting for us upon our return. I then sent Evan over to the conference center to pick up our package of umbrellas *squee!* and called my planner, Ken, to check in for the day. I realized the night before that I had no clue when or where he was meeting us, which freaked me out, but of course they have every thing down to a science and I shouldn't have worried. My bridesmaids had decided to get appointments with the salon in the hotel for their hair rather than have me do it. Time-wise, it saved me a headache, but I think it ended up giving them one instead. We weren't exactly asking for "normal" up-do's, but I sent a vintage hairstyle book with them to help. Erin's hair went quickly, but Nicki's was near disaster. Just the front though (oddly the back was gorgeous). I was actually done and dressed before they got back and their appointments were almost an hour before mine (and they didn't get makeup!). So, I suppose that's one for the list of things I wish I had done. Had Patricia do their hair as well.
Meanwhile, the guys were getting ready and surely running amok. I got back to the room just before Patricia LeJeune got there. We got started right away, talking through what I wanted. I never found any pictures that really inspired me, so I gave her free will. She pin curled my hair up, then got to work on the make-up. By this point I was getting calls from the Bridesmaids frantically trying to figure out how we could get food since our original plan fell through (they were going to pick it up). My family was all busy, so my mother ran downstairs to grab some sandwiches. Of course, this was the point that everyone kept coming to the door, including Evan, or calling my cell for checking in.
Patricia was having a sorts of fun with my porcelain skin and kept saying I looked like a china doll :rotfl: . I can see it, but my skin is usually more problem than anything being too light for most foundations. But she found one that worked! Mid-way through the make-up Nathan Root showed up with Sarah, our second photographer to stand-in for Jensey. And here's where the pictures begin:

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0017_0026.jpg

My mother returned, food in hand, and they took over her room turning it into a mini-shoot of all of my clothes. I walked in a while later to an explosion of gowns, shoes, and umbrellas. But they were having fun!

Patricia positioned my hairpiece (the Polly from Topsy Turvy on Etsy) which was the first official wedding item I bought.

I adored Patricia and certainly recommend her highly! I have a difficult complexion and hair which she mastered beautifully. We had all sorts of fun chats about pin-curls, finger waves, and stage makeup (I studied that in college).
Next up: getting dressed, the BMs return, and the boys get their camera time.

Oh My Goodness!! Your pictures are amazing!! I hope mine turn out that wonderful. Your theme was beautifully executed. I'm doing a 40's theme ceremony at SBP and hope it turns out as elegant as yours.

So your DH is deployed? What boat/ship is he on? I went to the same school, as an enlisted mechanic. That's where I met my DF (who was also enslisted, but is now an officer on the Columbus out of Pearl Harbor). Welcome to the Navy family! PM me if you ever need to chat.

Alright! I'm back! Or rather, my laptop is (it only took a month to fix).
Around this point things were getting hectic. The bridesmaids weren't back yet, no one in our room had eaten lunch, I was attempting to steal my gown back from the photographers, the boys kept calling us to see if we were done yet, and I was waiting for Ken to show up and hopefully take over the insanity. Fortunately, he did! He went with Nathan down to find the boys and start taking pictures of them. The florists then showed up and I finally got dressed. Seeing how they had to pin through leather to get those flowers to stay on, it's amazing no one stabbed themselves.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0090_0217.jpg
But the muffs turned out lovely!
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/Picture1.png
Of course, there wasn't any pomp to getting dressed, my mother had gone down to get sandwiches, so Sarah helped hook me in! A few extra details and my mother got back. Thank goodness, because I was tired of answering the door (half the time it was Evan and he'd never warn me, so I took to hiding behind it when opening!). And I was starving.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0084_0192.jpg
I love this shot just because you can see a glimpse of Nathan in the background, trying to hide behind the door:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0108_0268.jpg
Shortly after, the first bridesmaid returned. I actually left before Nicki got back (that's how long her hair took!), but I do have an ever so lovely shot of Erin making a sandwich she'll forgive me for....
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0132_0347.jpg
A few last fun shots for the photographers and I headed downstairs.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0125_0327.jpg
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0118_0299.jpg
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0097_0250x.jpg

Now, in the mean time the guys had all sorts of fun. When Nathan had come back up to the room he was all excited and started showing Sarah pictures he had taken (I wasn't allowed to see them). Something about monkeys. At the beginning you can tell that they're all big goofballs that don't usually like the camera.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0069_0131x.jpg
Especially Evan who is obviously trying hard not to smile like a 3rd grade school photo or bust out laughing.... it's hard to tell which.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0074_0153x.jpg
But, then they loosen up and "act natural". The LAST thing I would ever prompt them to do.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/Picture6.png
The requisite "mobster" shot:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0094_0238x.jpg

And here is where I come in. We had originally planned a different location to meet, but the light was so lovely outside. Even if it was cold.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0138_0369.jpg

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0142_0379x.jpg
And here is the look I get from all of my sewing projects: confusion.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0146_0393x.jpg
I had to double check to make sure he was dressed correctly. Found a pocket welt I forgot to tack...oops. And he didn't have his jacket buttoned. Ahem.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0160_0433.jpg
And still confused....
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0161_0437.jpg
A few more random shots and we move on to the staged ones:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0167_0448x.jpg
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0170_0456x.jpg
I still wish I had found a better fabric for that coat. Too many wrinkles (but we'll blame that in part on his not buttoning it).
By this point I began to realize just how much help we would have during the day. Ken had gone over to SBP to get things started up, but we still had two people with headsets making sure everything was running smoothly with us. Somehow they knew to bring a wheelchair for Evan's dad (I don't remember asking for one, but they knew he couldn't walk well). So, they were making sure where it needed to be, when they would get there, etc. I was rather impressed!
Next we get the fun photo shoot and every one shows up! Finally!

At this point we started doing "posed" pictures of the two of us. It all felt really easy and natural though.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0183_0480x.jpg
Fun picture for me to point out buttons. I have more than just a slight obsession with them. Evan's coat has horn buttons (I almost did glass, but thought that might be a bit much). Mine are "death head" buttons. Since this isn't an 18th century site, I'll explain that I covered wooden buttons with thread that creates a particular pattern akin to the pirate cross bones.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0186_0490x.jpg
They took a few individuals of me for the gown and we decided to see what happened to the huge skirt when I spin. Totally going for little girl fantasies right here:

Have to have the picture of the picture being taken:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0219_0572.jpg
And the goal of the day seemed to be making me laugh. Which happened a lot.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0231_0597x.jpg
We then ran through our first dance, which was definitely not choreographed to go with this gown. Or a top hat. But it was fun and made for some great pictures!

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0331_0803x.jpg

I realized after that this shot actually forms a heart. It's a really nice location, but I could imagine it being far busier during warmer months.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0338_0824x.jpg

One more classic lattice shot:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0355_0871x.jpg

The bouquet I had was inspired by a 1930s image my planner had found and certainly looked the part:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0365_0886x.jpg
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0375_0923x.jpg

Bring in the bridesmaids! We were oh so glad that we choose to build coats and caplets. It was very chilly that day and they were the perfect weight.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0391_0960x.jpg

I have no clue what we're trying to do here except look funny
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0394_0970x.jpg

The whole crew. And no, the two groomsmen are not related. They hadn't even met until the wedding! Nic (on the left) was Evan's college roommate and Mike (on the right) is in the Navy and Erin's (right again) husband. If that's not confusing think about the fact that we have me, Nicole, my bridesmaid Nicki (but technically Nicole), and groomsman Nic.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0408_1009x.jpg

The groomsmen's suits came from Carolyn Allens. Their top hats were their "gift" and boy were they excited about them. The bridesmaids designed their own gowns and the coats/muffs were their gifts.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0411_1017x.jpg

It was at this point we all headed to the lobby to go our separate ways. I stayed there to wait for the Rolls to be ready. Of course, I had one of the DFTW people with me so I was never out of the loop. I even answered a few questions for Reverend Knox that way! The bridal party and photographers walked over to SBP to meet with Ken and get ready. Once I walked out to the car someone stayed in the lobby to meet with Evan's family and escort them to SBP.
I have to admit, of the entire day I felt most like a princess when I was sitting in the car waiting. The weather had warmed enough for people to be out and everyone that passed by waved and offered congratulations. Sitting on the sidewalk right behind the Beach Club was apparently a high traffic area! We even had to shoo away the growing group of men oogling the car to get going.

A few good pictures pre-guests as the photographers arrived at SBP. The chairs are the standard ones now. The urns with palm leaves and peacock feathers are the only decoration we had. They moved them to the reception after.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0438_1096.jpg

Such a beautiful view from there. It may have been chilly, but the sky was clear and the day so bright.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0448_1115.jpg

I had custom petal cones made. I used the logo from our invitations (the lighthouse at the Yacht Club).
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0451_1123x.jpg

Our Jazz Trio. I honestly don't remember anything about them. I obviously didn't get to hang around before the ceremony and was a bit distracted once I got there. I payed attention to them at the reception and they sounded great there. I do faintly remember hearing When You Wish Upon a Star, but until I got the pictures I didn't even remember where they were at SBP!
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0455_1129.jpg

The car begins to sneak up on SBP. We stopped just after crossing the bridge so we could hear the music, but not be seen. Waited for the cue from Ken and kept rolling.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0512_1243.jpg

The bridesmaids entered to The Way You Look Tonight, and the groomsmen/groom came in to Let's Misbehave.
I don't know if this is the bridal party coming up or if everyone has caught on. Wait, the multitude of top hats up front says they're looking for the car...

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0534_1292x.jpg

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0567_1356x.jpg

One of two small issues that day; I apparently tie a complicated bow system. Who knew? The other was when some idiot on the street yelled "Don't do it!". But don't worry, he won't ruin your wedding. My bridesmaids gave him a look that surely disintegrated him.

After the ceremony Evan and I jumped in the Rolls Royce, basically to drive down the block and come back!
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0695_1587.jpg

It allowed for a few good pictures inside.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0698_1598x.jpg

And a few posed driving away shots with all the guests waving:

The car says "Just Married" on back even!
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0709_1631x.jpg

We turned around and returned to do the ubiquitous family portraits. No, they aren't my sisters, they're cousins. Family resemblance? My cousin Morgan (on the left) is getting married next month. I can't wait!

We decided to walk down the Boardwalk and allow for some pictures. The car followed with the bridesmaids (their feet hurt).
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0758_1804x.jpg

Stopped at the photo booth. Too expensive to use in my opinion, but still a cute prop.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0765_1828x.jpg

More walking. Somehow, despite the fact that there was a woman in a white dress walking with a man in a suit and top hat, people kept staring at the car and asking if my bridesmaids were the ones getting married!
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0780_1873x.jpg

They did make a cute picture though!
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0786_1891x.jpg

Evan was inspecting the umbrella after I managed to take a chunk out of my finger opening it. They quickly got me a band-aid though!
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0788_1892x.jpg

We found a quiet spot to the side of the green.

Hi Nicole
Just wanted to ask you about your experience with Bella Umbrella. I am considering hiring umbrellas from them for my VR in May. My ceremony is on a Wednesday and I notice that the usual rental period is from Thursday to Monday, but I assume this can be changed. Did you have them ship the umbrellas to your planner or to your resort? I live in the UK so would have to do one of these things as I cannot have them shipped to my home address. Also did you ship them back from Orlando? If so how far away was the nearest depot and was it easy to do? Thanks so much!!
Joanne

They were very accommodating with me. They asked what day I needed them for and they planned out what day to mail them (I made sure they knew it was going to a hotel and it was holiday season). They mailed it extra early for no charge. I used the hotel address and had them put our reservation number on it as well. We stayed at the Beach Club, they do have a package pick-up place, but I think we had to go around to the Convention Center on the side of the hotel to pick it up and to mail it out. If you ask at your hotel they'll know where it is, and there should always be something near by in that complex.

Decorations!
The entrance to Ariel's:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0966_2234.jpg

The overall room:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0967_2253.jpg

The three guests tables had navy bengaline table cloths and silver charger plates. The center was a variety of mercury glass votives with one large vase in the middle that had palms and peacock feathers in it. I wanted a lot of height without going expensive on flowers:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/Picture19.png

Our table had champagne colored mercury glass votives of all different sizes for the center piece. I wanted something lower so it wouldn't get in the way of pictures:http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0982_2313.jpg

We used the silver chivari chairs. Ours had small groups of orchids on the back of them:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1018_2392.jpg

The seating chart table was just as you came up the stairs. I made a quick seating chart using some silhouette art I made up (featuring hats). We only had four tables so I chose top hat, fedora, boater, and cloche. Each person had a small "brochure" for them and I had a variety of vintage hats out to be used for silhouettes later:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0969_2258.jpg

The brochures were 1930s related fun facts, quotes, and Disney cartoons that we compiled. Everyone at each table had different info, so they had to all share:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0989_2336.jpg

And then, there was cake. Honestly, I really should do a whole post on the process of getting to this point. It went through many designs prior to creation, and it was soooo much fun to get to see it in reality. Hmm, maybe I'll post about the DIY process of everything if I ever get to the end of these pictures. Anyway, amazing cake. We had almond cake with amaretto mousse for the top and bottom, and tropical mousse for the middle. The fancy piece in the front is actually all edible (Evan checked). They used small LED lights to shine behind the three tiers of painted sugar glass:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/Picture18.png

Oh, and this was the layout we used in the space with a few minor changes (the seating chart table moved up):

Since we had the jazz trio for the ceremony, we had enough time left over to have them for the pre-reception as well. After that, we used an Ipod set up.

Costume change!
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1040_2434x.jpg

We had the soda package and one signature drink in both non and alcoholic. I love the Adventurer's Club and really wish we could have done something there (alas, a bit too late). So, a bit of a tribute to it:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/0992_2347.jpg

Our pre-reception "hors d'oeuvres" were coconut shrimp, bbq apple chicken flatbread, and olive flatbread (flatbreads from Jiko's menu):
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1052_2466.jpg

For the main buffet we had a beef action station:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1080_2530-1.jpg

Spice-encrusted Cornish Game Hen from Sanaa's menu. I highly recommend a dark poultry over chicken breasts, it doesn't dry out at all:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1085_2544-1.jpg

Miso Salmon from Yak & Yeti's menu with Jasmine rice:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1081_2532-1.jpg

And a colorful little assortment of vegetables:

My favorite part! I couldn't wait to get to the reception just to see how that cake turned out! I almost didn't want to eat it. Almost.

Everything is just beautiful. You both look so happy and the Roots :worship: - well, they are awesome.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! And yes, yes they are. I want another wedding just to have an excuse to use them again!

Nicole,

More lovely pics thank you! The food looked wonderful. Love the mercury glass votives, did Disney provide them? Your reception dress is amazing.

They did. Our florist sent us tons of pictures of vases and votives to pick from.
And now I just need to find an reason to wear that gown again!

Alright, I think I'm just going to push through and do two final posts to make it through the rest of the pictures. So! We first have the awesomeness of Kathryn Flocken and her magic scissors. Seriously magic. She had a crowd all night long it was so impressive. I do silhouettes at home, but I draw them out first. She just goes at the paper with gusto and is done in what seems like seconds. Here's my niece as her first sitting:

The end result:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1071_2510.jpg

She makes two of each. One for the guest to take home and one goes in a small book that can be used as a guest book. Two in one!

And only the Roots can make Soy Sauce look this amazing:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1097_2569.jpg

For the toast we used my grandparents wedding glasses circa 1942. We have a huge set of them, but only brought two for us. We didn't want to risk the possibility of breaking that many!
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1150_2676.jpg

Since both of the groomsmen weren't speech giving types, my bridesmaids and my aunt gave speeches. I think this was the point they were proud of themselves for setting up my elaborate proposal.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1172_2724.jpg

They ended with a really cheesy comment about wishing upon a star and dreams coming true, which was supposed to be funny. Then Erin started to tear up and I had no hope!
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1179_2736x.jpg

I gave my Aunt less than 24 hours notice for her speech. Which may seem last minute. But you don't know my family. I did that so there would be no props involved and no grand skits written. They've done everything from a surprise redneck wedding to a fake funeral to parades to taking my Aunt to "court" over her misadventures (with a real judge). I knew she'd manage something great on short notice!

Next came cake. Yum. Ken even showed us how and where to cut, thank goodness. You may have seen a dozen weddings, but when it comes time you have no clue!

The story of our lives. I'll let you do it so I won't screw it up. Or get stabbed.

I still want to lick the screen every time I see this.

I'll be honest, I don't know Evan's cousin's kids very well. But, this kid is adorable! The hat was at least three inches longer than his head.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1251_2925x.jpg

Evan by this point had discovered that the whole front section of the cake was all sugar, and therefore edible (except for the LEDs of course). He proceeded to inform EVERYONE.

The lights were still my favorite part though.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1258_2949.jpg

Next came the first dance. I'm awfully proud of this. I choreographed an Astaire/Rogers type number to "Beyond the Sea". Which doesn't seem long until you have to choreograph it all!
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1301_3055x-1.jpg

Evan managed it quite well considering I only had a month to teach him (and me).
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1306_3060x.jpg

Lots of lifts:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1335_3094x.jpg

We almost made it through without mistakes. But we both forgot about four eight counts near the end! Still fun though.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1344_3109.jpg

I dragged the bridesmaids out for one dance:
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii272/ColeVintage/Wedding/1353_3135.jpg

And Evan made extra sure to prove, for all posterity, that it is really edible.

Wave goodbye!
