View Full Version : DDP and a Grand Villa

Anyone have experience using a dinning plan while booked in a DVC grand villa? The grand villas sleep 12, our group would be 9 people, DFIL, DMIL, DBIL, DSIL, DNi14 plus my DH, myself, DS17 and DD13.

Everyone would be a Disney “adult”, but I am concerned about credit usage. We have used one of the dining plans on our most recent trips and each trip have had issues with our credits being charged incorrectly.

How did you track who used what and how did you track how many credits you should have vs what was used when everyone is pulling from the same pool?

I am more concerned about being incorrectly charged more than someone mis-using credits. If we are using credits seperately, how did you guys track that?

We could have a "reckoning" each evening and double check credit usage, but I am looking for some ideas of what others have done.

Thanks!

Will you not be eating together and will be separated? We had no problems, I created an Itinerary before we left that had our TS meals printed out, we did break off from each and honestly it wasn't a big deal, we only used what was alotted for the day. Each person knew what they had to use. In the end, my parents flew home a day earlier than us and we had so much food left over, we never finished our meals. Sad but true.

TY for the replay Logansmummy!

My main concern is watching for being charged incorrectly. On both previous trips we had issues with our servers charging our cards incorrectly. Either too many credits were taken or they charged the meal to our room and did not even use our credits. We were able to get the issue straightened out, it was just frustrating and took time away from the parks.

See that really makes me mad, that happened to us too, I refuse to use my credit card on my room charges this year, NO WAY. I was furious about that. I would really, really focus on getting that point across to your guests traveling w/ you, check the adjustments on bottom of receipt. I just happened to grab my DDad's receipt and caught it, the lady was in a hurry and of course she was annoyed but guess what she had to fix it. Always, Always check the bottom of your receipt. I would be more concerned about the room charges the quicker that adjustment is made the better, and secondly the screw up w/ too many TS or CS taken off your conceirge can handle those back at your room, and that can be way less stressful. Good Luck and hope that advise helps you.

Great advice to check those receipts at the time they give them to you. We had two meals charged to our room and never noticed it until we were home and our cc bill came. We never wanted our cc to be put onto our room key to begin with and said so but the CM at check-in apparently felt he knew best and put it on there anyway. Next trip I will make sure our room keys do NOT have any credit card added.
