Sorry...I know this is going to sound dumb but I want be sure!!

When you say "soft sided" does that mean the whole cooler needs to be soft or can it be the kind that has fabric on the outside (soft) but has the plastic inside??? Make sense??? We have a couple of coolers that have the hard plastic inside that I would like to take but not sure if I can!!

Thanks!!!:flower3:

I've always understood that "soft-sided" means "not rigid".

I didn't worry about bringing a cooler -- our beverages (2 wine boxes, a case of beer, a couple of bottles of champagne) fit nicely in a wheeled carry-on.

Maybe I will do that as well. I do have a small DCL soft cooler that I could bring to put water in on Nassau day. We could just put a few beers/sodas in the fridge at a time instead of keeping them on ice in the cooler.

Thanks!

As the PP said, it doesn't "have" to be any sort of cooler. I packed mine in my carryon. DH did bring his in a rolling soft sided cooler, but only because he didn't have a rolling carry on.

I had the same thought. I was going to use my rolling coller as my carry on b/c I don't have a sm rolling suitcase.
