I have an earlier post with all the info here's is the short version.
Family vacation. 3 big men with big appetites and 17 year old boy who never stops eating. Everyone want to pay upfront. I'm doing all the planning, We all want to add Dining just which plan is up to me. I'm leaning more and more toward DXDDP for this trip. I do not want any surprise OOP expense for food.
Here are my final questions:laughing:
Which signature dinning is your fav?
If you could do 2 which ones?
Can you split up? say teens eat buffet, adults eat sit down? Can we have 2 ressie's for the same night?
Which sit down would you choose for lunch? We normally do breakfast (character) or dinner.
My best friend and family might join us for a few days. So the party will be really starting get big. Is it easier when making ressie's for around 10 to 15 to volunteer to split up tables? or make separate ressie's and ask to sit close together?
One night we would like to all eat together at one table to celebrate:dance3:. We will have 1 college graduation, 1 high school graduation, 1 anniversary, 1 or 2 birthdays. Can I make this happen? and which signature dinning restaurant would you choose?
That's all for now.:cheer2:

It sounds like DxDDP would be perfect, since you have so many big eaters in the group and want the convenience of having things pre-paid.
California Grill is my family's favorite signature, followed very, very closely by Jiko on my list and Narcoosees on DH & DS's.
If I could only do two signatures, I'd go with California Grill and Jiko.
Yes, you can split up. When making the reservations, it might be a good idea to put each in the name & contact number of one of the people actually dining there.
For lunch, we like a lot of the Epcot restaurants, Tusker House at Animal Kingdom, and the Plaza at Magic Kingdom. Liberty Tree was excellent as well, but a bit too much/too heavy for lunch in my opinion - it might be perfect for a teen boy and grown men, though, very meat-and-potatoes American.
Can't help you with the ressies for large groups; the most we've ever had was 6, and that's not a problem at all. I do believe for groups larger than 10, you have to call rather than making ADRs online.
For a celebration dinner, I'd recommend California Grill. They have a great wine list, wonderful staff, not a super-quiet ambiance where a lively group would stand out, and if you're interested in a cake, they do some amazing customs.

We were at Disney on the DxDDP, had a total of 10 at each meal. Reservations were a breeze, called at the 90 day window (that is what it was then) and got all our reservations we wanted.
Favorite was Narccoossee's @ Grand Floridian... we had 4 anniversaries we were celebrating and 2 birthdays... everyone got customized menu's and the lobster was fabulous!
Make sure to call into disney dining for a group of 10, but we had no problems at all. Good Luck!:goodvibes

Which sit down would you choose for lunch? We normally do breakfast (character) or dinner. sanaa, 50's primetime, tokyo dining

If you want to eat together I would ask for the total dining together but plan early

Can I make this happen? and which signature dinning restaurant would you choose? yes you can. Not sure which one to pick but I would check with everyone's likes and dislikes and then choose. Even though you want signature, a buffet might be a better choice.
That's all for now.:cheer2:
BTW, Have you checked out the info about grand gatherings on disney's websites. It might be easier to get some dining ressies if you go through the grand gatherings.

Yachtsmen Steakhouse (giant tender steaks and yummy potatoes) and Jiko (I tried the beef rib but subbed the mac and cheese that normally comes with the filet and it was close to the perfect meal).

Signatures:
Jiko
California Grill
Lunches (we always do lunch instead of breakfast)
Liberty Tree Tavern
Teppan Edo
Coral Reef
We are a party of 8 this trip and had no trouble making our reservations online in one group, not sure how much larger you could go, though.
We found that the DXDP works best for us because we like the Signature Dining. I would say that Narccoossee's would be a close third for us, just depending on what you are hungry for!

My favorite signature dining was California Grill -- mostly because of the Sushi there. But the other food was very good too. But it's a noisy place. For atmosphere, I liked Citrocos and Narcoosees at the Grand Floridian. I'm eager to try Flying Fish next trip.
If I could do just 2 -- I'd pick Artist Point and Flying Fish or Yachtsman because I have not been to these yet.... Artist Point gets very good reviews.
Deluxe DDP sounds like a good way for you. It sounds like a lot of eating.... but if you like 3 meals a day.... you got it... or if you prefer only 2 meals some days, you can do signatures or dinner shows which eat up 2 meal credits per person. I liked having appetizers included with deluxe DDP so we could try different things.
I can't imagine anyone going hungry on the deluxe DDP! Your budget is simple because the deluxe DDP covers everything but tips and alcohol.
We had a big group in 2008 and had dinner reservations for 11 people. We always sat together.
