So has anyone checked water at BUF? If so, please share your experience with me. We would really like to check two 24 pks. (flying SWA) if possible then have DME deliver it to our room at AKV.

Why wouldn't you just buy water in Florida?

If you don't have a car its a little difficult to buy a case there.

I usually drop 4 or 5 in every ones suitcase but I like your idea better. Curious about this also.

I agree. I am not sure what SWA policy is on checking packs of water, but we usually make a trip to either WalMart or Publics when we arrive. We can usually get a 24pk for a reasonable price (and very close to what I would pay here in Toronto at Loblaws).

Take a look at the publics or WalMart website for prices and see if it's even worth buying water here and bringing it with you there.

We will be using DME and therefore won't have a rental car to go off-site to buy water. Between me and DD alone we usually drink at least 10 bottles/day during warm months so would really prefer to somehow be able to check it with SWA and then have DME deliver it to our room at AKV.

Have you tried calling SW and asking if this is possible? I can't see them letting this happen as I don't believe the baggage compartments are heated, so would the water not freeze and then expand when landing? I could be wrong anyone else ever done this?:confused3
The weight factor alone would probably cause them to charge a lot on money to carry them as well. 24 bottles at 500ml each( about 8oz.) so you have about 12 lbs of water in each case X 2 so about 50 lbs with wrap and bottle weight.
I don't know that I would trust the baggage handlers to be gentle with the cases as well.
Just my 2 cents worth.

We also drink a lot of water every day and even when on the DDP we need to get a case or 2.

On our last trip in September I ordered from Costco.com it was around $7 per case including delivery and you can order even if you are not a member. I think non-members pay an extra 35 cents. The only thing with Costco is that you need a US address. I just used my street address and then put in FL as my state. It went through no problem.

As an added bonus the water was delivered to our room before we even arrived at the resort.....but that's thanks to the luggage service folks at the resort.

Why not just bring reusable bottles from home and refill them at fountains?

Many times I have brought back cans of POG (passion-orange-guava)juice from Hawaii under the plane. I just bring a seperate bag for it and put it in the bag, you could try this with your water so long as you check with SWA first

Depending on what else you need, you could use Garden Grocer (http://www.gardengrocer.com/). There is a $12 delivery charge and a $40 minimum order. We ordered a few cases of water, pop, and snacks through them our last visit and it was worth it. We actually should've ordered another case of water, we ran out early and got stuck filling bottles with awful Disney tap water for the last couple days of our trip!
