Finally made the call

After two tours and several years of waiting, we were finally able to buy in today. We joined in the recent webcast and was able to get that incentive. We debated over the past few weeks and finally decided to buy into AKL for a couple reasons: BLT- just too hard to justify the price right now for our initial purchase, SSR - we never saw a demo room, and AKL- when we toured this resort we knew we would eventually buy in. There were some other things we considered as well, and I'm pretty sure we made the right choice. We do plan to buy some smaller contracts later on at some other resorts.

Our guide was able to get us reservations for BWV for Spring Break. I am so excited and happy we were finally in the position to make this decision. It is finally the right time for us.

Thanks. We just stayed at AKL again this past October. Our first stay there was our first on site trip in 2001 (I think). We decided that we would join "some day" 3 or 4 years ago. DH is finally out of residency, so we decided this would be our Christmas gift to each other.

Now, I gotta figure out how to get one of those signatures.

Aw...I got bumped from a thread...was not sure where to post this..first time to be bumped since joining the dis (I think). Anyways...still happy for my christmas gift (DVC).

You sound just like us! We joined 2 weeks ago @ AKV with great incentives and also hope to add on with smaller contracts in a year or two. Will probably do resale next time but I can't believe how amazingly FAST and EASY it was to join direct with Disney. Our guide was able to get us a reservation at the Beach Club in May.

We have waited for soooo long to join - it's such a great feeling! :banana:

Those guides are wonderful for booking the hard to find stays at the last moment, aren't they? My guide slipped us into SSR for new years eve with only 4 months notice when we first bought.
