View Full Version : Some Q's on the Dlx DDP

We did the DLX DDP back in Oct for 6 nights when our DDs were 9 and 7 and it worked really well for us. (just paid the upgrade price from free dining). We used the credits to the letter ie. each meal we ordered 2 adult meals and 2 meals from the kids menu.

We are thinking of doing it again this August (2010) but our eldest will then be 10, so an adult for DDP purposes. Realistically there will now be quite a few meals when we will order DD1's "adult" meal, and the 2 children will share it (even if it means paying OOP for one soda). So this time we'll often be using less credits than are available to us eg. of 3A/1C per sitting, we will have a child credit left for the meal in the example given.

So my first Q is, is this permissible at non buffet TS, ie. can the kids share an adult entitlement. Or, on other days, can the kids share a child meal?

I have my receipts from last Oct and for each TS restaurant it just says entitlements used (and the figure for that meal eg.4) and beneath it is says the number of deluxe cpn remaining eg. 12 deluxe cpn remaining.

Question 2: how do I keep track of which credits left are adult ones and which are child ones?

Question 3: Following on from that, how can I tell that the correct adult/child credits have been deducted?

Thanks in advance everyone!

They should be able to share in most restaurants (but possibly not all).

And you will have to keep track of your credits yourself if Disney won't designate them on your receipts. The rule is that credits for which you paid a child's price should be used to order off a child's menu at restaurants that have one.

Thanks for your help with that.

Can I just ask whether sharing is possible at a signature restaurant?

We had one report that California Grill would not allow a child to share with an adult (family on the dining plan) but said the child had to order their own entree. It's only one report.

The only restaurant we have multiple no-sharing-on-the-dining-plan reports about is Beaches & Cream.
