Are items like bagels counted a snack credit at resort counter service places? I'm hoping to use some snack credits for light breakfasts at the Poly, but am not sure that is really possible.
Thanks~:goodvibes

When I was at POFQ in September I got a coffee, orange juice, cinnamon roll, and yogurt for breakfast, and the CM told me I could use 4 snack credits for it if I wanted. (I said, "um, no, I'll just pay out of pocket." It was only $9! Why would I use four credits for that?) So I assume a bagel would be. Actually I did get a bagel for a snack credit at Starring Rolls in the Studios.

I guess I could pay oop, but I'll have a ton of snack credits. Hmmm...I'm really over thinking this. :lmao:

I know we used them for cinnamon rolls and giant muffins- so I'm guessing bagels would be a snack.

I might have if it was the last day of vacation (in fact, did, on the last day) but this was only our 3rd day and we didn't know how many snacks we'd have left at the end.

We used our snack credits for cinnamon buns and big bowls of fruit for breakfast. We bought 2 of each and shared them 4 ways which was great for our family of 4.

Yes! Most single serve breakfast items like a muffin or a bagel are a snack point. There is a list of what you can use snack points on at the top of this page:

We didnt' care for any of the cs breakfasts we had so though snack credit use would be our best bet but be careful at many of the resorts about half of the bakery items are not counted as snack credits. That may not be too bad individually but the day we did pay oop for four fruit cups, four large danish pastries and four drinks it worked out nearly as expensive as a buffet breakfast which we much prefer so we did that (had the buffet) for the rest of the holiday.

When we went last year, we were able to get a cereal bowl and small carton of milk for one snack credit - this was at the All Star Movies. Check with the cashiers before you get your food, but they were very accommodating.

If you are likely to be able to use your snack credits, then paying out of pocket is the way to go. If however, you know you are going to get to the end of your trip and suddenly have to try and spend them, I think you are better off using them as you need them. It is all very well to be able to take stuff home when you leave, but if you can use the DDP and NOT pay anything OOP on your trip, i would say you are heads up on those who do. Personal opinion and probably many who see it differently. ;)

I couldn't agree more. A couple of years ago we were there and did not use many snack credits and we ended up with 18 trying to use them before we leave. I had way too many rice krispie mickey heads to take home! It wasn't like we were trying not to use them we were always too full to eat anything else. I can remember the days when a box of donuts was one snack credit, yes that was nice!!:)

That is what we did and it worked out great! This last trip, it was just DD 13 and I for a few nights.
We always ate one of our CS meals at the resort (lunch or dinner) and got fruit as our dessert. We took it back to the room and put it away in the refrigerator for breakfast the next day.
We then used a snack credit to get a muffin, yogurt, etc. in the morning. We were on the QSDP so we had our mugs for the drink.
At the end of the weekend (we shared a few meals too), we had enough for 2 CS meals on our way to the airport, as well as one snack each for breakfast.
We loved it!!
