are there supposed to be any hurricanes near the Western itinerary in the next couple weeks?

All kidding aside, I just checked the weather channel and there are no active storms in the Atlantic at this time.

It's hard to predict when a hurricane might develop. The Orlando Sentinel has a pretty cool hurricane page which I use to keep an eye on things when I'm getting ready to cruise. It has an interactive map which charts current and past storms. Here's a link to it:

Hurricane season runs from June until the middle of November. Here is a link the th national hurricane center in Florida. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

Minor point... Hurricane Season runs from June 1 to November 30. And there was still a storm active into early December last year.

You can never predict one of those nasty things.

The site we use here at the Fire Department is

And Dave is correct....June 1 to November 30 is _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
season. We have the Emergency Management division here at
FDHQ, and I hear this 24/7/365!!!!!
