Two years ago the DDP came as part of our package. We didn't really understand how it worked particularly at the resort. I want to ensure we fully understand it before we go this time. I've read through the info and still need to clarify.

We are staying at Pop Century. If we grab a bite there at night I'm assuming this is a CS. What would it include? I understand the combo with drink but then a dessert too? What qualifies for a dessert and what about the kids plan? What is included in theirs? I don't want to throw something on my tray and have them charge us an extra snack credit but if I can throw a muffin on there and save it for breakfast the next day then that's bonus.

Thanks!

DDP is a package add-on, it doesn't automatically come as part of a resort reservation package. You need to request it. What you get depends on what the food court is willing to give you. The official allotment for a CS is one entree or combo meal, one dessert, and one non-alcoholic beverage. At a food court, what counts as dessert is contingent on what the food court itself offers as desserts. There isn't any reason why you couldn't take a muffin or pastry as a dessert if they're offered.

Children age 3-9 are required to order a kids' meal if the restaurant has a child's menu. Children's meals usually have specifically designated desserts, so kids might not be able to just take a dessert from a grab and go area.

Desserts are not included at breakfast - the official listing of entitlements substitutes a juice for the dessert. But food courts often allow a "continental breakfast" which is something like two pastries and a beverage. We're about to switch over into 2010, and sometimes DDP's "unofficial" allotments change from year to year. Ask when you get there.

You are right, the restaurant at Pop qualifies as a Quick Service/Counter Service credit.

You can find more information on what you get with the various credits Here (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=34711317&postcount=3) on the FAQ.

To address your dessert question, you get dessert with either lunch or dinner, no desserts at breakfast. The signs and menus are very informative now, and it will probably be easier for you to discern what is what. However, don't be afraid to ask a CM if you have a question about what qualifies as dessert, they are fantastic about working with guests, and will be happy to help you.

Thanks very much for the info. We did add the Dining Plan for this trip - sorry my post wasn't clear. We leave in 8 days so we'll be newly into the 2010 plan. Hopefully nothing's changed. I'll just need to speak up and ask if I'm unsure. The TS meals - Breakfasts / buffets are pretty straight forward. It's the CS meals I get confused on. Thanks again for the info.
