Documentation for Canadians

We're booked on a Western 7-day cruise for September. I'm sure we'll get this information from DCL eventually, but what documentation do we need to have with us for the cruise? The four of us all have passports, but are there any visas we will have to obtain as well?

Well, actually, not everything I wanted to know was there. As Canadians we can enter the US with just a passport - no other documentation is necessary. But will we need any additional documentation to enter Cozumel, for example? Like a visa or a tourist card? I haven't been to Mexico in almost 30 years, and I'm sure things have changed since then. Thanks.

Michelle, You're Welcome! I'm a moderator over at the Sierra message boards, so I tend to notice such things, even when I'm off my turf! :) We call it 'Stuck to the Top' by us...


Mike, Unless I'm wrong, which is entirely possible, the only time documentation is checked for non us citizens is before you board and before you disembark at Port Canaveral. All people entering/leaving the ship at ports on the Western only need to be swiped on/off the ship with their Key to the World card and a photo ID. It's messier on the Eastern, as they have to re-do the immigration check at St Thomas, due to a law that states it has to be done if visiting a US port after a foreign port.

I do think somewhere in that thread it gives contact info for questions, if you're not sure.
