Party with DP and without

We are going to WDW with my parents in January. My family (2a 3k) have the dining plan, but my parents will not. We have reservations for 7 at our TS places. Is it easy for them to split the check between the TS people and the cash people and how do we go about asking for that (at the beginning of the meal...)?

Just let your server know before you order which members of your party are paying with the dining plan and which are paying cash, and the checks will be split.
