We are going to stay at POR for roughly 7 days. I was planning on purchasing the package but then the Armed Forces tickets came out. So my question is...Can I purchase a one day ticket with the room package and qualify for the dining plan? I know the number of credits is based on the number of nights in the rooms. I thought I read I could but now I cannot find it. Thanks for any help! I realize I will not be able to do it if they come out with discounted rooms.

As far as I know you can still do this.

Have fun!

I thought the Armed Forces ticket offer expired on Dec 23rd??? And when it was in effect, there was a code where you could add the dining plan to the discounted room without having to buy tickets (we did this just a couple of weeks ago)

That's for the Armed Forces discounted room. If you book the military room discount you do not have to add tickets to the package to buy a dining plan. I do not know what the deal is if you want to book a rack rate room or if it's automatic that you get the room discount.

When we went in November we got our tickets through the Armed Forces Salute discount and were able to book a room with the military discount and the military dining plan (basically they allowed us to book a room and dining plan without purchasing tickets, since the tickets had to be purchased through the military).

I don't know if they are doing this again in 2010 with the military discount tickets they are offering, but I would call Disney to find out. If thats the case you wont need to purchase a 1 day ticket to get the dining plan.

My tickets aren't military, but I have no expire tickets so I didn't need to buy more.

I went down in Oct and got the free dining offer. We got the room and just the 1 day ticket and it qualified for getting free dining with it.

Thanks for all the replies! I will call and find out if I can add the DDP on with Armed Forces. BTW there is a NEW Armed forces Salute for 2010.
