Rent wheelchairs at the resorts

We are staying at Bwv in July. First trip as dvc
members. Can you rent wheelchairs for los from resorts. :)

They are listed in the Guidebook for Guests with Disabilities as the place to call with questions about accomidations and equipment. Be sure to request first floor "for medical reasons". That wording should be on your confirmation letter.

We recently visited the Boardwalk Villas from 2/25/01 to 3/2/01 and rented a Lark for the week. A member of our group injured her foot prior to leaving for the trip. We called the Boardwalk and they gave us the name of a rental agency. For the entire week, the Lark/scooter was less then $200.00. It was a bargain for the price. They delivered the scooter to the resort and it was waiting for us upon arrival. Thereafter, we simple recharged the batteries every night. No problem at all! I strongly suggest renting the scooter. It was a benefit to the user and the rest of the party.
