For those who have done both, what plan do you like best, and why?

We have done the regular DDP and the Quick Service DDP.
They each have their pluses. It really depends on many factors, which each person has to consider which works best for them.
Besides the cost, what's best about the quick (counter) service plan is not having to make ADRs and eating when and where it suits your needs at that time.

We haven't done either but I have researched them both pretty extensively and ended up choosing the DDP because I have older kids and we wanted sit down meals. If our kids were still younger I would have def. chosen the QSDP for the ease of use and the refillable cup.

We have done both the DDP and the QSDP. As others have said they both have there advantages. However for our family we are going back again in August and we are going to use the QSDP. We dont want to be to be tied down to a schedule. We want to eat when we are hungry and dont want to have to leave the park or our resort to make it to our ADR. We figure for the cost difference if we want to eat a few table services we will go to DTD and pay out of pocket. No I dont have young kids. Our son will be almost 18 and he is the one that wants to do the QSDP.
We couldn't decide either, so our next trip, we are trying the QSDP for four days, then switching to the DDP. It's a pain to have to book two separate reservations, but the CM assured us that we wouldn't not need to switch our room at WL.

We have done the DDP 3x and just did the QSDP about a week and a half ago.
We LOVED the QSDP. We had a ton of food, weren't tied to any ADRs, and could get whatever snacks we pleased (usually I'm telling the kids "no, you can't have that", but not this time). We were able to eat fairly healthy, too (ate at Sunshine Seasons, WPE, and Tangierine Cafe among others). Oh, and I have never allowed my girls to get the refillable mugs, b/c they aren't soda drinkers and it just hasn't seemed "worth" it. But the mugs come with the plan so they were very happy.
We have done the "regular" DDP in the past. It felt more "worth" it when the tip and appetizer were included. The last trip we used it (last Dec), i felt like we were rushing around trying to get to our various ADRs.

We have done both and each has it's own advantage. We are going in July and November of 2010 and are doing the QS in July and DDP in November. So it is a decision that you have to make. Do you like sit down relaxed dinners then go with the DDP. If you like to eat on the go then go with the QS.:cool1:

My kids like too many character meals for QSDP to work for us. I would think that it would be a great option for families with small kids who don't handle sit down restaurants well.
With my severe food allergies, QSDP isn't as easy for us. I can get exactly what I want and none of what I shouldn't have at a TS. Each time I can talk to the chef directly. At QS, I have to talk to a manager and special order. By the time my food is done, I'd be worried that my family would have already eaten!
I think both are fine. For a shorter trip I would go with QS and for a longer one I like DP.
For DP plus, we enjoy the better restaurants and we like the character meals and sometimes the buffets, too. We get the Fantasmic package (includes appetizer at Mama's) with it; that's a really good deal for 1 TS. I enjoy getting an appetizer at Chef de France or Le Cellier with their fixed menus for it, as well. The downside is that it does take longer to have a sit down meal and you still are OOP for tip. And forget it if you don't plan and make your ADRs for it.
The freedom offered with the QSDP makes it a good choice, too. If I'm there on a short stay I want to do the parks and concentrate on them, not eating my way through Disney. The refillable mug is an added bonus, here, too. I will say on this option I have a tendency to think about it as OOP, too. I would skip dessert and if I had a bigger meal like the combo platter at Cosmic Rays or Tangeriene Cafe, then I'd probably only eat once a day. Drinking tap water is fine by me, too. Another alternative is to eat snacks for meals if you are OOP.
It really depends on your budget and your time factors.
