Well, we did it! My wife and I just signed the papers to join DVC and put them in the mail last night. We bought at BCV after a lot of thought. On top of that, we're "going home" on 9/1 for 6 nights.

There was obviously some "Disney Magic" at work here! When we confirmed our purchase plans through the guide we had been dealing with, we knew our daughter's school opening was going to be delayed a week. So we said "let's just see if there are any dates available for the week of Labor Day". It turned out we could get a studio for the last 5 nights at BCV and OKW for 9/1. We're wait listed for BCV and BWV for that night also. It seems to be a trip that was just meant to be. We got an incredible airfare, our work schedules opened up, the delay in school opening....

When we told our daughter last night, we asked her if she could take a vacation before she started school, where would it be. We all know what she said - "DISNEY WORLD!!!". Then when we told her we were going, she said "we can go back AGAIN this year?" since we had just been there in June. Now we're trying to get her used to the idea that we'll probably be going multiple times every year!!!

Thanks to all those on this board who offered advice and opinions. It was very valuable in clarifying our thinking and making a decision.

Now I can't wait to hear "Welcome Home" for the first time as we arrive at the resort. WDW has always seemed like home and now it will be!!!

Congratulations and welcome home...one more time...

Hey, its just one night, a weeknight, go for the one bedroom for 9/1 at OKW. If you have never seen the OKW one bedroom or larger units, you are in for a treat.

You will love being at WDW that week! We went last year, and really had the parks to ourselves. I have pics of things like Walt and Mickey's statue with noone around, and just us playing with the Living Statues in France. We were even able to get reservations at CRT! It was great, I wish we could go that week every year. Oh, do remember to take your ponchos. Have a great time, and welcome home! Diana

P.S. I'm with Rich! If you have the points available I would try a 1-bedroom at OKW since it is just for one night. Have a great trip!

Congratulations! :)

Enjoy your September trip. We took our first WDW trip in September and it was wonderful though it rained every afternoon.
