I booked my December trip through AAA, and when my travel agent called this morning, she was told the new codes won't work until August 1 for packages. I just hope there are still YC concierge available then. Keep your fingers crossed.

What package do you have? Discovery magic is available.

Your agent is mistaken. A package that includes room plus Ultimate Hopper Passes and the Discovery Magic package can both be booked through CRO right now using special codes.

I do expect some discounted packages that will be bookable through Walt Disney Travel Company to become available about August 1, but your agent can book NOW through CRO. Unfortunately most non-Disney Specialist agents are only familiar with WDTC bookings.

It all depends on what CM you get. I called yesterday morning using the CLN code and was told that since I have the Resort Magic Package, I would have to cancel my package(which would mean loosing the airfare that is non-refundable) and book a new one. She told me that Package rates should come out Aug 1.

Well I thought about it a while and then called back in the afternoon. I got the nicest CM, Sarabeth, and after a little research, she was able to give me those rates and save me $737.00. She said that there are 2 types of airfares with the packages, Disney bulk rate and Retail. She said that because I had Retail, I did not have to cancel it. I have 2 separate confirmation numbers. I was able to keep my airfare, transfers and insurance through WDTC and I have my room and passes through CRO, the only thing I lost was my flex feature (with a savings of $737.00, I will take 2 separate confirmations and pay $40.00 for a character breakfast myself.

I got the Polynesian Garden View for $198.67, Rack Rate was $332.00 I told her about my phone call in the morning, and she said that the CM probably did not do anymore investigating once she saw the airfare. Oh yeah, and I am getting a credit of $56.10 from WDTC because I am overpaid now.

I would say call back again. Hope this helps.
