Hello fellow DVC, Dis members! We are here at Bay Lake. I'll tell you our opinions and share some photos with you.
1st off we got here late, around 9pm on Wednesday the 23rd. I had just made a simple request, higher than the 4th floor. We have a Lake view studio.
Check in was simple. We did not do online check in. no reason, just because. I did tell member services that check in was going to be between 8 - 9 pm at night.
We ended up getting 14th floor, room # 8432. I'll post some pictures shortly.
Pros: Wonderful view, close to MK, monorail, pools, no noises at night (pipes, toilets, doors slamming, etc.), walkway to Contemporary, Top of the World Lounge.
Cons: Bathroom door (doesn't really bother us too much), no food court(would like one here, not there),
Our view was great. I'll find my pics and post soon. When we look out we see - the Contemporary, the walkway, the monorail, bay lake , seven seas lagoon, contemporary pool. We had outside our balcony the blow up tv, which they show movies on at night. We could, if we wanted to, sit on the balcony and watch Santa Clause, and Up.
Pics to follow soon.
Any questions? I'll try to answer in a relatively quick timeframe. it is my vacation :rotfl:

Thanks for your review. Room looks great. Glad to hear that it is quiet. Seems like NOT doing online check in is the way to go.:santa:

Room looks great! I saw the model rooms of BLT last week and was impressed. I love the sliding closet in the kitchen. Stayed at BWV myself and the room we had was refurbished. Very nice :) Have a great trip :thumbsup2

Thanks for the pictures! Enjoy your stay! I'll be there in a studio in February. Now that my parents know they're going (they're 85), it's time to get excited!

Thought I'd address acouple of things.
#1 - bathroom door - Yes, there is a crack. If you're not familiar with one another, this might be an issue. It's not one for us, the kids are still small enough. Seems like there would be a lock though. i tried to take a picture, but it was too dark.
#2 - TOTWL - Nice, needs more appetizer selections. It seemed busy when we were there on christmas night. But husband thought that there should have been more people. Maybe he's right. You need to check in with the lady down stairs and she takes you to the elevator, inserts her card and sends you on your way up. kinda stinks if you forget something in your room and need to go back through the whole process again. But, I guess it works.
Okay - crowds are getting bad after 11am. You NEED to be there for extra magic hours.
moving tomorrow to BWV and 50's PTC for lunch.
tonight is TREX. we like this place.
Build a Dino ! Yay! My kids are going to beg for a dino. Maybe....we'll see. They're napping now. And they're 10 and 11. lol.

That safety rail on the observation deck is new since October. I know that a couple of times the CMs had to come out and ask people to holding small children to move away from the ledge.

We moved early this morning from BLT to BWV. The husband woke me up at 4am, thinking it was 5am. Hollywood Studios opened @7am so we knew we wanted to move our car and luggage early. We got to BWV at 6am and walked to HS. A nice brisk, chilly walk. Brrr.
We got back to BW around noon and was told the room was not ready; fine, we expected that. As I was walking away, the CM called me back and said my room was just done.
So, heres what we got. No special requests. Room 2117, 2nd floor, standard view.
Yes, the hallways are long. We are almost to the end of the hall.
As soon as we opened the door we smelled paint; yes a renovated room.
Here are some pics for you.

Great pics and report. I plan to ask for an upper floor as well at BLT as I have a lakeview as well. The 14th floor has a terrific view - thanks for posting.
