I have to admit to still being confused about parking at other DVC resorts. In past trips, I never had a problem or gotten a time-limited pass when I've wanted to go to one of the other resorts to eat, shop, pool-hop. Now it sounds like there is a time limit. My question is whether this time limit is in effect if I pay to valet park??

This really is a question of what do they do if a car overstays its time limit. I guess they could tow it, whether it was parked in self-park or in the valet lot, but does anyone know that they actually have done so?
There is no specific time limit for Valet parking.

Valet parking is free for DVC members at BW, VWL and BCV. Non-valet parking is subject to a time limit at non-DVC resorts for all non-resort guests. As Dean said, valet parking, whether gratis or not, does not have a time limit. Finally, if you do go the free route, tip early and tip often!

Valet parking at hotels like the Poly, GF or Contemporary is NEVER timed????
Maybe that is why I never had a problem or even any indication that the parking was limited.
Is valet parking really never time limited?

A valet parked car can be moved, even out of the parking area, if space becomes a problem. No need to set a time limit.

Does anyone know how much it costs for valet parking at non-DVC resorts? It thought it $5 or $6 plus tip. I never had problems with timed parking, the few times the guard checked, but since our hotel-hopping trips usually take longer than expected I'd probably pay for the peace of mind.

It's $6 plus tip.
I agree with you - paying for valet parking is worth it for peace of mind. With my luck, my car would be the first one Disney ever towed for exceeding the time limit! :D :D :D

Valet parking costs $6.00 per day. The receipt can be used at all WDW Resorts within each 24 hour period.
That is plus the valet's tip.

Thanks all - we probalby will go the valet parking route since I'd rather pay $6 (plus tip - we are firm believers in tipping and would do so even if valet parking was free) and not worry about whether my time was running out.
