We just finished our trip with the quick service plan and we loved it! We got to Pop on the 16th and stayed til the 20th. We will never come again without the dining plan. It was so nice that everyone could get exactly what they wanted, no one went hungry and we weren't constantly trying to get off cheap by choosing things we didn't really want in order to save a few bucks. Yup, we do that every time.
It really just made the trip so enjoyable. If ds wanted an icecream cone and dd wanted popcorn then they got it. No questions asked (as long as we didn't go overboard and use up all of our credits in one day).
As it stood, we ate tons of food and snacks and still ended up with enough credits for everyone to have a hot breakfast on our check out day and 7 snack credits which I used to buy cookies and crackers and rice krispies treats for our flight home.
Only complaint which really isn't too much of a complaint is that i wished they offered grilled cheese sandwiches, nachos (in the parks), and baked pototoes for the kids. My kids are not very adventurous eaters and they stuck to mac n cheese and chicken nuggets. Those got old real fast.
I highly recommend getting the DDP if you want to not have to think about how much everything costs.

I am glad you enjoyed your trip. I know that we won't be going back without the dining plan either. My DBF's first trip I budgeted $1500 for two adults, two kids for 8 days. We only had a few sit down restaurants in there. It was mostly QS because it will be nephews only trip and I wanted to see and do as much as possible. When we got home I found out that DBF was ordering cheaper entrees and not what he really wanted because he was scared we would run out of money. So for our last trip I used the DDP and he ate what he wanted! It was great. For our next trip I want to try the DxDDP. I just really like the idea of having all our meals prepaid. I know I could do it cheaper but then DBF would eat that way again. LOL

It is so nice to be able to say "yes" to your kids while on vacation without any thought of cost, isn't it?
I am glad that you had a positive experience with the dining plan.

We have used it now for 2 trips and I love it was well. It is nice knowing that the meals are all set and it is plenty of food.
And, my DD 13 and I were able to share a few meals and utilize snacks in such a way that we ended up with enough left on our last day for both breakfast and lunch (we had a late flight).
Matter of fact, we used the dessert option with our dinner to get fruit, which we both ate for breakfast, along with a muffin or bagel that we got with the snack credit.
At this point, we will always purchase the plan, if for no other reason than convenience!

I love having food paid for before I leave! It takes the worry of running out of money away.

We really enjoyed the DDP also. My DH said he would not go without it. My sisters and I are celebrating our Mom's 60th bday with a surprise trip to the world in June, and we're planning on doing the DxDDp so that we can eat at a Sig Rest each night.

We love the DDP as well.
It makes perfect sense for us to use it. The DDP is how we eat at home, something small for bk, lunch is a good sized meal and a sit down meal at night. Works out perfect for us. Also the convience of not having to worry about money, if you are on budget, do you want something extra....yada yada, we can use for snacks.
This time we ate so good we had 8 snacks left for the trip home.....still didn't get enough rice crispy treats!! LOL

That is so great to know. I totally can't wait to go and not have to tell my kids "no" to anything they want on the menus. Having such a large family we usually have to skimp, but when we do the DDP we won't have to. They will be some happy kids and we will be a happy mommy and daddy.

:thumbsup2 This is exactly why I am doing the dining plan this time. DD12 and I were just looking over some of the restaurants menu's and she said mom that food is so expensive are we really going to be eating there. I told her that we would be doing the dining plan again(we did it on the last trip, but she was still considered a child)
She is all excited now:cool1::cool1:

Glad you enjoyed it. We leave in just a couple weeks and we're using the quick service plan (our first time). I'm really looking forward to just being able to look at the menu items instead of the prices listed next to each thing. :lmao:
