We will be staying off site one night prior to checking in at a WDW resort. During our last visit we saw these two restaurants and we are thinking about going to one on Sat, Jan 10th. Never been to either so what are some thoughts from those who have!

is mainly asian food. Not your typical chinese food, but it all has an asian twist. I love eating there and the lettuce wraps are amazing. But you have to want asian food.

Cheesecake factory has anything you could even think you might want for dinner. I also enjoy eating there, and go there when we need a very varied menu, or we are thinking of one of our favorite dushes from there.

Your best bet is to look up the menu for both online so you know what type of food is there. Price wsie, Cheesecake can be less expensive depending on what you order.

If you've never been to either then you have to go with Cheesecake Factory.

Great idea. Cheesecake Factory portions are HUGE so you may want to consider splitting entrees.

Cheesecake Factory also has a HUGE menu. Portions are large. It is good. We have one right around the corner from us, but we don't go there much since they dumped a whole tray of drinks down my back. Also if your meal there sucks for some reason, they are the hardest place to get them to comp even a part of the meal.

I don't think PF Chang is worth the $$. I LOVE Cheesecake Factory though. That would easily be my choice.

HUGE thumbs up for Cheesecake F. :thumbsup2 Both are good but as mentioned you pretty much have to like eating asian to eat at Changs. Everyone in your group pretty much does of someone will be less than happy. My hubby loves Changs but I'm not adventurous and my kids don't care for it either. As was said CF has a HUGE menu. And that's not including the dessert menu. We actually have never had dessert there because we're always so full from the entree and app if we have them. Lots for everyone. They have asian on there too (if someone is hankering for it) and from personal experience, the potstickers are GREAT and their asian salad is the only salad I'll order in ANY restaurant. It's that good. No kids menu though which I don't like but there's stuff on the regular menu kids will eat like pizza, mini burgers and fried, etc.
I bet you can find menus online to check out. The only thing I don't like about CF's menu is all the stupid ads.

OH to wish WDW food was that good! :rolleyes1 that's another thread.

Go early. Both places get real crowded!! I was there on Dec 11 at about 6-6:30pm, PF Changs had a 90 minute wait, Cheesecake had a 45 minute wait.

We're staying at Windsor Hills soon. What is the closest CF to there? My son (turning 13 on trip) has CF at the top of his "to do" list for his birthday.

There is only one that I know of in the area at The Mall at Millenia.

There's another Cheesecake in Winter Park.

We love PF Changs (we were there two weeks ago); we USED to love Cheesecake Factory, but the last two times we were there the food quality had gone way down and the service was very poor.

There's another Cheesecake in Winter Park.

You are indeed correct, but that one would be further than the one at Mall at Millenia.

I love them both, but I vote Cheesecake factory. I love, love, love their food! Their menu is about 13 pages long, and they have about 30 types of cheesecake. It is alittle pricy, but no worse than Disney food, and taste better. Their portions are HUGE, and you can def. share. My mom and I always order two appts to share, and never have room for desert.

Just a suggestion...If you go to the Cheesecake Factory, and you'll have refrigerators in your rooms...pick up another whole cheesecake. Good snacking during your trip.

I would choose Cheesecake Factory, but only because we have a PF Chang locally. Another option would be to go to Pei Wei, which is a PF Chang counter service, for lunch one day and then go to Cheesecake Factory another day. If I remember correctly, there is a Pei Wei a few minutes from Downtown Disney.

I just have to add, the dinner portions at Cheesecake Factory are HUGE! We like to go during lunch, because the portions are still big and several dollars cheaper. (Same thing for PF Chang now that I think of it.)

Just an update on the CF (one in MN) since I went today and am currrently muching on noodles from the Asian salad. :goodvibes:goodvibes :cloud9:
The waitress says they change menus every 6 months. Well today, they had a kids menu! First time for us! So that was cool. :thumbsup2 And they added a new page of small plates or snacks. I can't remember what that page was called but it had LOTS of new stuff on it that were tasty looking! DH had the fried cheese and I had the sweet corn fritters. they are both app. size and plenty to share between 2 people. It's a really cool addition! I think we'll seek out the CF when we return to WDW this Nov. I'm tired of the blah food on property. Only a few places there we even bother to go to now.

Ooooo. A Pei Wei near DTD? My kids and I all love the Honey Seared chicken. I'm there!

The kids menu and snack menu sound like a great incentive to go to CF.

And, is the Winter Park location as busy as the Mall at Millenium location? If not, might be worth the extra drive...
