My family is hoping to go to Disney thsi summer. We haven't been in 3 years. Since there are 7 of us, I was thinking of renting a 2 bedroom villa. Unfortunately, I have a bad knee. Out of Kidani, BLT and Beach Club.. are any of these small (or enclosed) enough so that the food and pool might be nearby.

I would seriously consider renting an ECV from an off property rental company, so you have it available for the duration of your trip. None of the DVC resorts are extremely close to the pool and food of their attached resort - and if you are going to have trouble getting around the resort, you will definitely have trouble getting around the parks.

Out of the resort you've mentioned, probably the easiest would be BLT, because you could request to be close the south elevators, which would take you to the skybridge, and the skybridge brings you in to CR on the 4th floor concourse, where most of the shopping and dining opportunities are. The BLT pool is not too far from these elevators either. But in reality, BCV and AKL are not that much different in how much walking you would be doing. The ECV would really be your best friend at all three resorts.

I would say BLT too! After that, AKL, they have DVC in Jambo House. I'm not sure what food they have in Kidani aside from Saana.http://allears.net/acc/faq_kidani.htm it does look like you'd have to go to AKL-Jambo House for CS options.
I think BC would be the most walking.

I would say the easiest one would be Bay Lake Tower.

Nope, BCV would have the easiest access to dining (use the Marketplace which is just steps away from the BCV) and the Dunes Cove Pool which is the leisure pool at the villas.

BLT doesn't really have any dining right there. You'll have to go over to the Contemporary. The pool would be close, but the corridors may be long.

Kidani has Sanaa, the table service restaurant but no counter service. And it's Indian style food - so if that's not your cup of tea, you are out of luck. The pool is across the parking lot from the building and the corridors are long.
