Well, I had an interesting day!!

I started off trying to hire a dead guy for a clerk's position. :scared1: His wife answered the phone and said that he had recently passed away. I was like 'OH CRAP!!" It was quite an uncomfortable situation, let me tell you.

But then the day got better, as right before lunch, I was called into the Manager's office and was offered the promotion I was up for!!!

I am soooooo freakin' excited!!!!!!

It's still just a temp position. The office will only be open until Sept 2010.

You can't help it that a person died in between a sollicitation and you calling.
But i can immagine that it was a very uncomfertable situation.

I agree with Yvet though. I would have felt a little strange or creepy about the situation with offering a person who just passed away a position and that poor wife answering that her husband just passed away and it being near Christmas:sad1:.

I am curious how that person passed away. Was he elderly or an illiness striked him?

I started off trying to hire a dead guy for a clerk's position. :scared1: His wife answered the phone and said that he had recently passed away. did that once. i used to be a regional manager for a direct sales company and i recruited people and went to their homes to get them hired. showed up for an appointment at a guys apartment and there were cops all over the place. seems the guy had hung himself the night before. couldnt have done it more than three hours after i had talked to him on the phone and made the appointment...
