I can't believe how many times I have changed our reservations:p We stayed 5 nights at the Polynesian concierge and then we moved over to the BWV last night. We were going to stay here 4 nights and then move over to the AKL concierge for 2 nights. Well after we checked in we decided to just stay at the BWV the rest of our visit and not move again. Now I don't know if I want to move? This is crazy:rolleyes: My kids are napping right now so I'm on DH's laptop looking at resort pictures. I like the BWV, but I miss the Polynesian. We had a great time once again (I will post a report when I get back next week). The space is great at the BWV. It's nice to be in a different room while they are napping. This morning it was nice to get a little space from them as they are starting to drive us crazy. I can't wait until they are old enough to go to one of the kids clubs! The view isn't very good. We are on the 3rd floor and we are looking right at the scafolding (sp?) I here hammering right now, I think they are doing the inside of the rooms above us. I really miss the Polynesian pool. The pool here is great, but I prefer a zero-entry with my toddler and 3 yr old. My dh wants to stay, but he said he'll do whatever I want. I think I just prefer the MK area resorts, but maybe I'm just not giving it enough time? My 3 yr old keeps asking me when we are going back to WDW, he thinks the MK is WDW! Will you help me decide. It's always good to hear other opinions.
This is our 4th visit to WDW and we have only stayed at the Polynesian and 2 nights at the ASMO. Should we the stay the rest of our visit at the BWV's? Should we try the AKL out or should we go back to the MK resorts and give the GF a try?

I voted to move over to the Floridian! Try to get into Boca Chica or Conch Key! :)
Stay but move.....
Explain that you want to stay at the resort but with two young children you cannot be in the room during the day for their naps and have construction going on.
Maybe they can move you to a better location.

With kids that young being on the monorail loop is great. You spend most your time at the MK!! I would not stay at the BWV if I could here hammering, that's just me. Maybe if you do stay there, ask to be switched to a BWV room away from the construction, if there is one or switch to the Inn side. We loved the BWI this past May with our 4yo.
But, my favorite resort is the GF!! If I were you I'd switch over to there. They also have a zero entry pool. Lot's of people here say the AKL is too far from the parks, so I wouldn't go there if that is a big concern.
Go ahead, just go to the GF!!!;)

OK... as a mother of a one year old and a soon-to-be 3 year old I can totally relate! ;) If I were you I'd complain about the noise and see if they'll move you. I know my little guys wouldn't sleep very well with hammering. If they refuse to move you then maybe ask about BCV's??? You'd still have the space and privacy of a villa, but a better pool and no construction! :D
I love the GF! :D It's so nice with a stroller to just load the kids up and head right to the park without having to take them out of the stoller, fold it up, and get on a bus everytime. It's the #1 reason we don't try AKL. It just seems so far away and inconvenient.

I'd get out of there & go to GF with your little ones.

I think that you should move if you can back to the monorail. Its just easier with little guys. Don't wish this time away they are little for so short a time and then they are teens for what must be an eternity. I can hardly imagine what its like when they are in their twenties. I used the in room babysitters once at the Poly and we went to dinner alone it was great. The sitter was very nice and the kids thought she was Mary Poppins.

I agree. Go back to the Polynesian. If not We had a nice few days at the AKL concierge. I think the kids would like it and the food was great. It just does not have the transportation like the Monorail resorts.

No way would I stay where there is hammering. I vote for Poly or GF. Monorail is great for little ones, as is MK!!!

I voted for the GF. We just got back & we loved it. We didn't have any young kids with us but I did notice how easy it was to get on the monorail with strollers (I felt so bad watching people struggling to get their strollers on those buses. The zero-entry pool is great too...you'll love it.

I say to move from BWV - to Poly or Grand Floridian. With the kids, it seems to me being at MK resort with the monorail is a big plus. And who wants hammering???? Try the Animal Kingdom lodge next time.

Hi Mirlow,
It's me, Threehearts! We've been on vacation and just last night I switched from all days at Poly conc. to half of the time at BC standard view to save a little money and try out SAB. I'm so sorry that things are not what you had hoped for. Let us know what you decided on and how it worked out. Good luck! I'm sure you'll choose what's best for the family. PM me(I lost your home phone on the last DIS PM purge). Good thoughts your way. Susan
